Contract Marriage With The Disabled CEO By Woody Rain Chapter 8
Chapter 8 Nice Ring
Betty’s heart skipped a beat.
He wanted her to take a guess?
Seriously?
She felt helpless but had to reply with a smile, “In my opinion... an outstanding man like Mr. Martin should have long got
married.”
Overcome with diffidence, she didn’t dare to look at Kerwin again.
Then she couldn’t help but lament in her heart.
What was she afraid of? Kerwin concealed his identity and pretended that he didn’t know her after she came into the office. It
was not like she was guilty.
While Betty’s mind was wandering, the man in the wheelchair captured every subtle change in her expression.
The corners of Kerwin’s mouth curved up in an imperceptible way.
He knew that she would be the interviewer today. In fact, he made an exception for her and accepted the interview.
He asked the question just to tease her. To his surprise, she looked so nervous and shy, which was inconsistent with the
investigation report.
Kerwin pondered but remained calm on the surface. “Actually, I got married a few days ago.”
He dragged his tone and glanced at Betty, which made her heart race.
Before she could pick up the conversation, Sarah let out an exaggerated cry.
“Mr. Martin, you’re married? The female readers will be heartbroken when they read this,” Sarah lamented and gossiped. “I
wonder what kind of woman your wife is. Is she from an influential family?”
“Sarah!” Betty tugged at Sarah. They were not supposed to ask questions that were not on the script. Besides, this was too
personal and a bit rude,
Fortunately, Kerwin was not annoyed. A smile was his only reply.
“Alright, we’ve asked enough questions about Mr. Martin’s private life. Next, we’ll talk about work.”
Unwilling to cover too much about his marriage, Betty changed the subject of the interview.
The next few questions were formulaic, and the interview ended at a steady pace.

“It’s a pleasure to be interviewed by your magazine.” Before saying goodbye, Kerwin shook hands with them and seemed to
pause for an extra second when he held Betty’s hand. His dark eyes fell on her ring and his thin lips curled up. “Nice ring.”
Betty’s cheeks burned. She drew back her hand in a hurry.
Her taut nerves didn’t relax until she went out of the office.
Sarah exclaimed in a dramatic way, “Gosh, I just shook hands with the CEO of Tylman Group! I’ve decided not to wash my
hands this week.”
Betty looked at her with amusement and tried to call her a nympho when Kerwin’s secretary was seen coming up. Several
exquisite boxes were in her hands.
“Dear guests, our boss has prepared these gifts for you.”
After taking the box, Sarah enthused, “Gosh, there are gifts for us. Mr. Martin is so sweet.”
She couldn’t wait to open the box. The gift inside was a Chanel scarf.
“Wow, the big boss is so generous and deserves to own a big company!” Sarah exclaimed with excitement. “The patterns are
different. Betty, let me have a look at yours.”
Betty had no intention of opening it, but Sarah was relentless.
She opened the box, Betty’s facial expression changing at the sight of the object inside, and she closed it in a hurry.
