Chapter 6
But in that respect, she wasn't mad at her about it at all or anything like that. Shortly after, the blonde ended the call with her mother and locked her phone again. Once she did, she got out of bed and put it on the nightstand so as not to misplace it again. She sighed quietly and moved towards the window to close it a bit. She knew that nothing would be the same from that moment on and she was well aware of it.
Especially since if it weren't for her boyfriend's betrayal with her friend, she probably wouldn't have regained contact with Kasumi. It was obvious that she had to lose some people to get someone else back. She stared out the window for a moment before she woke up and moved away from him and towards the exit from her room. She slowly but decisively went to the bathroom to take care of her physiological matters. Once again, there was complete and pervasive silence throughout the house, which she didn't really mind at all.
On the contrary, she was very, very pleased with it as never before! She was finally able to think things through calmly and make a plan for what to do next. Especially since Madeleine and Dustin probably wouldn't leave her alone, of that she was one hundred percent sure. As a result, she had to avoid them like the devil avoids holy water for some time. She didn't want to talk to them about anything, even though she knew that she would have to deal with them during a few classes.
“I won't let such people ruin my plans for the future!,” Vivienne announced after a while, just after she wiped her wet hands after washing them on a dry towel.
She was perfectly aware that they were just waiting for her to give up and come back to them with her tail between her legs. But she had no intention of giving them that satisfaction, and she had no intention of letting them win. From here, she headed towards her bag to get ready for her next class. That was the most important thing to her now, apart from waiting to hear from Kasumi. But something told her to be careful, because she could expect anything from those two. That didn't mean she was going to give up and let them destroy her.
“Get a grip! Everything will be fine!,” Vivienne said to herself, just after making herself some fresh tea and dinner.
Shortly after, she took care of all the things she needed for her next classes. With nothing else to do, she headed towards the living room with her tea and dinner to look at what was on the TV. After placing a cup of drink and a plate of food on the table, she went to look for the TV remote controls. It took her a while, but she finally found it and was finally able to settle down comfortably on the couch while carefully sipping her tea and nibbling on the food she had prepared for herself.
“Hmmm... I wonder if there's anything interesting to watch on TV…,” Vivienne muttered under her breath, just after she finally turned on the device.
A device that didn't want to turn on at first, but eventually did. The last channel watched was set to a news program. For about a dozen minutes Vivienne listened to the latest news. Before she pressed the list button on the remote control to see what was on them. And since there were so many of these programs, it took her some time to get through them all. And unfortunately, the girl didn't find anything interesting and it was a bit of a disappointment for her. Hence, she returned to the news channel and after a while finally turned off the TV. By then, she had managed to eat what she had prepared and drank her tea, and slowly got up from the couch. When she stood up, she picked up a mug and an empty plate from the table to take them to the kitchen.
In complete silence, she went to the kitchen and put the plate in the dishwasher. She was going to put another cup in it, but she changed her mind at the last minute. She looked for a bottle of mineral water in the kitchen and only then headed back to her room. She decided to look at her laptop to see if any of her favorite manga or light novel authors had added a new chapter. On the other hand, she didn't want to do it, lest she come across people she hated again. It took her a while to finally break through and take her laptop out of its case. To take out the charger for it after a while, because she wasn't sure whether it would turn off while using it.
“Ugh…,” came out of Vivienne's mouth, right after she whistled a little into her head, right after she was plugging the bathroom cord into the socket.
This was because she forgot where he was currently, because her thoughts were in a completely different place. There was nothing she could do about it and all she could do was massage her aching head. She returned to her bed and connected the other side of the charger and the plug to her laptop. Only then could she open the laptop and press the button to turn it on. She looked blankly as it turned on until it settled on the moment where she had to enter her login and password. Only then did she come to her senses and type in what she needed to type in to be able to use it. For a moment she had the impression that she had entered the password incorrectly, but fortunately the system only lagged a bit. Then she breathed a sigh of relief, because she had no intention of searching her phone and notebooks for a stupid account password.
“I almost…,” Vivienne muttered under her breath, relieved that she didn't have to do it.
She immediately focused on opening the browser to be able to look for the website with what she was currently looking for. Eventually, however, she managed to find them and started checking whether any new chapters or new interesting stories had appeared. And when she found it, she began to calmly catch up on the chapters of her favorite stories. At the same time, she began to think whether she should start writing something like that herself. Thanks to this, she could get some relief and let out what has been inside her for a long time. She wondered for a moment if she should do it, but finally made up her mind. Hence, once she had finished what she had to read, she opened Word and started thinking about the title. She didn't even notice when it struck eleven at night, which was quite a surprise for her.
And she wrote down over twenty plus pages of her story, which was quite a surprise. Either way, she wrote down what she had written at that moment and closed Word. Then completely turn off the laptop and put it in a safe place. She sighed quietly and moved towards her suitcase to pull out some clean pajamas. Only then did she go to the bathroom and take a short bath and change into the pajamas she had brought with her. She turned off the bathroom light, closed the bathroom door carefully, and returned Vivienne to her room. She carefully closed the curtains and turned off the light before she climbed into bed and covered herself with the covers. She didn't even notice when she fell asleep because the last thing she remembered was putting her head on the pillow. It was obvious that she must have been very tired, because she saw no other explanation for it.
For the next dozen or so days, Vivienne avoided confrontation with those two as much as she could. The sight of them made her feel sick and she wanted to hit them with a right hook. In order not to do this and not to tell them what she thought about them that was on her lips, she had to avoid them. At the same time, strange rumors about her and the other two were circulating throughout the College. With each passing day they became more and more ridiculous and far-fetched. Vivienne was one hundred percent sure that Dustin and Madeleine were behind them. Because they were the only ones she thought were capable of doing something like that to draw attention to her. However, the girl didn't care about it, because she was perfectly aware of what the truth was.
