Cherished By Seven Sisters

Chapter 969

Chapter 969 Walk With Me
“Well said.” After listening, Emrys stood up and said, “Now that you’ve finished talking about the Xanthos family matters, come
take a walk with me!”
“Where to?” Matteo was taken aback.
Emrys glanced at him and said, “Of course, we’re going to find Ragnar.”
The moment those words were spoken, Matteo’s expression changed instantly, almost on the verge of tears. He begged, “Mr.
Lund, please spare me. I truly dare not offend the Xanthos family!”
“What a wimp!” Emrys sneered, then suddenly, with a chilling laugh, he taunted, “Who do you think is scarier, Ragnar or me, Sky
Devourer Lord?”
Matteo’s legs gave way when he heard that.
For him, both were quite terrifying.
After all, Ragnar was a disciple of the White Snake Immortal, so he was obviously strong.
The true terror of Sky Devourer Lord lay in his enigmatic nature. No one knew the extent of his power, only that his very name
struck fear into the hearts of many as if he was a formidable Malevolent Deity.
Thus, Matteo couldn’t make a comparison between the two, and his face paled with fright.
Upon seeing Matteo’s timid demeanor, Emrys scoffed, choosing not to intimidate him further. Instead, he spoke in a calm
tone.“Don’t worry, I won’t make things difficult for you. I simply want you to serve as my interpreter. In Jetroina, it’s‘ rare to find
someone as fluent in Chanaean as you are. You’re truly talented, and I am quite fond of you.”
Matteo nearly coughed up blood. You’re quite fond of me, so you want me to accompany you on your adventure? Even though
you suggested that I become your interpreter, from the perspective of the
Xanthos family, I’m nothing more than your lackey... Even though it’s the truth, I really wanted to say no.
In a moment of quick thinking, Matteo said, “Mr. Lund, please wait for me for a moment.”

He was gone for a brief moment before quickly scampering back, placing an electronic device, no larger than a Walkman, into
Emrys‘ hands.
“Mr. Lund,” began the clever Matteo. “This is the new generation simultaneous translation device. Simply wear the headset, and
you can achieve instant, real–time translations in multiple languages. It can even translate your voice into any language you
desire, provided that you’ve procet the lanminge conversion system.”
Emrys face darkened. He barked angrily, “Why didn’t you bring out such a great thing earlier?”
Back when he was reviewing the study materials on Ninette’s computer, there were plenty of blockbuster films from Jetroina.
Oddly enough, none of them had Chanaean subtitles.
Thus, if he had that device beforehand, he could understood everything. What if those women from Jetroina said something
inappropriate in the video that could negatively influence the children? Who would bear the consequences? That’s not thorough!
From now on, those translation tasks must be done accurately!
Upon seeing Emrys‘ sudden darkened expression, Matteo thought he had done something wrong. In a panicked rush, he
stammered, “Mr. Lund, please don’t be angry...”
“Never mind. I’ll let it slide this time.”
Emrys fiddled with the simultaneous translation device for a while, then suddenly said, “Wait a minute, I asked you to be my
translator, but you gave me this gadget instead. Do you lack confidence in me?”
Matteo suddenly fell to his knees. “Mr. Lund, I beg for mercy. My life is in your hands. How dare I defy your wishes? I’m just...
just worried about involving the Hidden Fighters Alliance.”
“So, you still lack faith in me.”
No words spilled from Matteo’s lips.
“All right, I’ll stop scaring you. Just tell me the address of the Xanthos family. There shouldn’t issues now, right?” Emrys casually
said, glancing at him.
Matteo nodded and said, “Ragnar’s eldest son, Kenneth, has opened a samurai school nearby. Let me mark the address for
you.”
