Sydney turned her head. "Is there something else?"
"Leave me a phone number."
Sydney was momentarily taken aback.
"You're the bank president. We'll have opportunities to be in touch. Just leave me your number," Christopher said.
His tone wasn't exactly negotiable, but it didn't carry any hint of coercion just an authoritative presence that was hard to refuse.
Sydney, accustomed to dealing with various executives-some sleazy, some superficial, and others who abused their power-found Christopher's dignified and courteous demeanor refreshing and rare.
What struck her even more was how Christopher, despite his status, was waiting for a parking spot like an ordinary person. Most people in his position would have simply called ahead to secure one, but he was waiting in line like anyone else.
She fished out her business card from her bag, and handed it to him respectfully.
Christopher accepted it, saying, "I'll be in touch."
Sydney offered a polite smile before exiting the vehicle.
As soon as she stepped out, her phone rang. Checking the caller ID, Sydney saw it was Geoffrey calling.
Her brow furrowed, and instinctively, she felt a surge of irritation.
She quickly hung up.
Christopher observed her reaction with curiosity. The abruptness with which she ended the call piqued his interest.
Sydney climbed back into her car and had just closed the door when her phone rang again.
Without checking, she answered sharply, "You're so annoying! You should count yourself lucky I haven't reported you to the authorities-don't push your luck!"
She hadn't reported Geoffrey, not out of a lack of resentment but because escalating the situation wouldn't benefit her or her child. It would only invite more trouble if the Spencers came looking for Geoffrey, leading to a potential family feud with serious consequences. So, Sydney decided to keep Geoffrey's actions to herself.
"Who are you planning to report?" came a calm, authoritative voice from the other end.
Sydney's heart sank. Recognizing the voice, she immediately rolled down her car window and glanced at the armored vehicle parked nearby.
The window of the vehicle began to open slowly, and Christopher waved gently at her. His smile was evident even from a distance.
Sydney's anxiety spiked. She quickly said, "Sorry, I thought it was a spam call."
"It's fine. I saw what happened," Christopher assured her.
Relieved, Sydney said, "Thank you, Mr. Jackson. I'll make sure to save this number."
"Alright, save it. I'll hang up now. Goodbye."

After they exchanged farewell, Sydney ended the call and moved her car.
Christopher's vehicle then slowly took her former parking spot.

At Rosalie's hospital room door, Christopher found Sebastian on the phone, sounding irate.

"So what if you have a video? I told you that video is fake.
"Whether it's real or not, it's fake to me. I'm not easily intimidated."
Sebastian suddenly noticed someone watching him. Turning, he saw Christopher.
He quickly told the person on the line, "I have to go. We'll talk another time," and ended the call.

here?" Sebastian put his phone away, his expression briefly masking something before he composed himself.

"What happened? Did you get into a fight with Rosalie?"
Sebastian offered a nonchalant smile. "Not at all. Even if I argued with Rose, she wouldn't hit me."
