Chasing His Ex-Wife after Divorce by Olina

Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Quincy Cares About Renee

Quincy immediately pushed open the door and rushed out.

Timothy followed behind.

It was in chaos outside. A middle-aged woman was lying on the ground, foaming at the mouth and convulsing.

After confirming that the woman wasn’t Renee, Quincy and Timothy let out a sigh of relief at the same time.

Timothy had been paying attention to Quincy.

Timothy was confused.

He could tell Quincy cared about Renee. Why would he divorce her?

Renee was feeling the woman’s pulse. Then she took a medical tool out of her bag.

Renee was fast and accurate.

Soon, the convulsing stopped, and the woman came to her senses, weak still.

Renee removed the medical tool from her and put it back in her bag. Then Renee wiped the woman’s mouth with her sleeve and said, “You’ll be fine. The ambulance is on the way. Don’t worry.”

The woman nodded and took off her bracelet. “Girl, thank you.”

Everyone could tell the bracelet was expensive.

But Renee shook her head and said, “You don’t have to, Madam.”

The hotel staff and onlookers clapped when they saw this.

“She’s so young but she has wonderful medical skills.”

“Yes. Girl, good job!”

Hearing their praise, Timothy nudged Quincy and said, “Quincy, see, she’s incredible. She’s kind, and she cooks well. Everyone likes her. Are you sure you don’t want to get back with her?”

Seriously?

Two years ago, Renee set Quincy up and used his grandmother to force him into marriage.

He and Renee were like strangers in their marriage life. She was just a pain in the ass to Quincy.

They finally divorced and Quincy thought he would live a carefree life.

He was surprised when he noticed the way Renee took care of the woman and heard her refuse the bracelet…

He felt that Renee might be different from what he thought she was.

Instead of answering the question, he asked, “Timothy, is she a doctor? Why didn’t I know?”

“Oh, she learned it from a weird old man when she was younger. For some reason, the old man didn’t let her make a living by it, so she didn’t get to show you that,” said Timothy.

Quincy’s face lit up when he knew she learned it as a kid. He thought what Renee had learned was just enough to save the woman.

There were so many people watching that Renee didn’t notice Timothy and Quincy.

When the ambulance arrived, Renee got up and left.

Halfway home, she got a call from her mom.

“Renee, what have you been up to? You’ll soon be the wife of Quinjoy Group’s president. You should learn from your mother-in-law to be a businesswoman and help Quincy.”

Renee didn’t know how to explain their divorce to her.

Renee’s mother wouldn’t accept it.

“Mom, just tell me what you want.”

Renee knew that her mother called for a reason.

She cleared her throat and said, “Renee, well, Timothy started a company, and now he runs into some problems and needs funding. Can you ask Quincy for that? He needs 8 million dollars. Not much.”

“Not much?” Renee felt helpless.

“Anyway, if you don’t give me the money, I’ll call Quincy…”

“Mom, it’s Timothy’s business, not Quincy’s. He should figure it out himself. Can we have a little dignity?”

“What can dignity do? Get us money?”

Renee didn’t know what to say.

Renee couldn’t talk sense into her, so she hung up.

Her mother had been asking her for money these years. She didn’t show Renee the slightest care.

Renee thought, “Maybe I’m not her daughter…

Not her daughter?”

She was shocked at the idea.
