Chapter 5

Chapter 5

My luck is so bad.

“Help me,” I screamed.

I clutched my backpack tightly and gazed at my shoes, submerged deep in mud. I was soaked, and my clothes were filthy

I looked up at the blue sky, but the rain was heavy, and the thunder roared, deafening.

my ears.

This hole was about five meters deep and one meter wide. I stood in the middle of the hole since the ground’s texture was soft, and I was scared it would sl*p and cover me

The longer the water rose, and it was almost up to my knees.

“Help me. I’m in a hole.” Nob*dy replied, and I had no idea whose forest I was in.

I panic. I don’t want to die because of being buried in the ground.

But no one seems to help me, and even if the rain stops, I don’t know how I will of this hole. I couldn’t climb up because there were no large rocks or tree roots.

get out

‘Naya. I only have my wolf. If I can swap bodies with my wolf, it’s unlikely that Naya can jump out of this hole because the wolf’s b*dy is the same size as mine or more oversized.

‘Don’t panic, Kara’ My wolf asked me not to panic, but she panicked more than I did.

“The Moon Goddess is always with us. You must believe what Morgan said; your parents always watch you on the moon. So they’re probably begging the Moon Goddess to send. someone to help you.

My b*dy shivered, and my teeth shook. My wolf was right. I won’t give up, at least if I die; I want someone to bury me properly.

“Please help me. I fell down the hole.” I shouted against the sound of the rain that was so heavy and the thunder that roared. “Help me.” I coughed as rain water got into my throat.

I never drink seawater, and today, I swallowed rainwater.

“Did an animal fall into my trap?”

I looked up and blinked my eyes to brush away the rain that was blocking my vision. A man wearing a navy blue coat shielding himself from the rain with an umbrella looks down. My eyes and his blue eyes met; he was shocked and wide-eyed.

“Gosh. Why not an animal?” The man is confused.

Animal? I shook off my curiosity and didn’t waste this precious opportunity to ask him for help.

“I begy

you, help me. I don’t know how to get out of this hole. I’m crying again. He can’t

see my tears.

That man was an Alpha King. Several years ago, I met an Alpha King, and he smelled. the same as that blue-eyed man.

My eyes widened. I was shocked, panicked, and confused. I had walked so far that I entered the Lycan clan’s territory!

G od. I shouldn’t be asking him for help, but maybe he’s the only one who came to this. hole.

“Have we met?” He squatted down and raised one eyebrow.

I blinked my eyes.

He snapped his fingers and pointed at me with his forefinger. “We’ve met. Two years ago I found you fell into the lake and couldn’t swim. Then I gave you a life jacket and pulled you up with a rope. I’m glad you’re still alive.”

I dug up my recollection. That was two years ago when I was in the third grade of high school. I bit my lower l*p as I remembered an incident I had forgotten about.

Carina and her minions celebrated my birthday by the lake. When I was eating roast goose, which was my birthday present, they pushed me into the lake.

Many visited the lake to celebrate my birthday, but no one helped me. I couldn’t swim. and when I was about to sink into the lake a man with blue eyes helped me.

Will that blue-eyed man help me again today?

“Stand back; I will drop this rock,” said Alpha King. “Cover your face if you don’t want the d*rty water to get on your face.”

My eyes

widen to see him pushing a boulder. I backed up so my back touched the ground behind me and covered my face with my backpack.

A large and tall rock fell into the hole. The water rose and nearly drowned me, and stomach almost touched the rock because the space became narrower.

my

Alpha King tossed a rope at me and told me to tie it around my stomach. I carried on my backpack and climbed the rock with trembling legs. I put aside my disgust, and when Alpha King pulled me, I had to stick my b*dy to the ground.

“Hold on, even if your stomach hurts. I’ll pull you up. Alpha King shouted through the sound of the rain. I nodded, and he started pulling me.

I grabbed the soft ground because I didn’t want him to be overwhelmed by tugging my fat b*dy. As the ground met my face, I held my breath..

Slowly, the rope in my stomach rises and is now under my breasts; I gripped the rope tightly before the string exited my b*dy.

“Finally, you are safe.” Alpha King patted my head.

I didn’t think I could get out of that hole. My life is safe. Ground didn’t cover my b*dy.

“Thank you very much, Alpha,” I said.

“You’ve said it five times already.” Alpha King placed the wood on the bonfire.

I rubbed my hands. The heat of the campfire warmed my b*dy. “You’ve saved me twice. I’ll always be grateful to you.”

Alpha King brought me to a cave in this forest. I thought we’d run into a bunch of sleeping bats. Someone seems to have made this cave his home because it is clean and has lots of hay and wood.

“Why, when we meet, you are always in danger, and I rescue you?” Alpha King sat on the wood next to me. He hands me a towel to dry my hair, then holds his hand toward the bonfire

I grimaced. He is an excellent Alpha King. I’m lucky to have met him. “You are an Alpha King. Is this the forest of the Lycan clan’s territory?”

“No. No one has claimed this forest.” Alpha King turned to me and studied me intensely. “Did you just get rejected by your mate, and now you don’t have a pack?”

I was stunned. I hugged my knees and rested my chin on my bent knees. I stared at my soaking wet shoes and bag being dried by the bonfire.

We are surrounded by silence. My wounded heart opened again, but no tears poured. I’ve been crying since yesterday, and I no longer have the energy to cry.

The rain hasn’t stopped, and the thunder is still rumbling; flashes of lightning illuminate this cave.

“How did you know?” I muttered.

“I see your aura.” Alpha King let out a sharp sigh. “Your mate is so st upid to have rejected. you while I’m still looking for my mate.”

“He rejected me because I was fat.” My pupils dilated, I unconsciously told him. I turned to him, who was putting some wood into the bonfire. “My b*dy is heavy, I’m sorry for making you tired.”

“No problem. I am a strong man.” Alpha King glanced at me. “Your mate is a jerk; he rejected you because he saw women based on their physical appearance. He will regret rejecting you.” He growled. “Trust me, many regrets rejecting their mate,”

Alpha King spoke based on facts. I felt a little comforted by his words.

After the rain stops, I will seck a group of rogues who will accept me.

It doesn’t matter if the rogues accept me because they need my strength to clean their house or wash their clothes.

The rain has let up.” Alpha King’s words startled me; I quickly looked out of the cave. “But it’s already night. You can’t go out at night. If you want to be eaten by beasts, or if your wolf is strong, you can go tonight.”

I gulped. I don’t want to be eaten by beasts, and I can’t switch bodies with my wolf.

Sleep inside.” Alpha King pointed to the dark interior of the cave. “I’ve been sleeping there for a week. I’m going to sleep here.”

1 am shocked. So he slept in this cave. My wolf asked me to trust Alpha King; he wouldn’t do anything to me.

My heart beat fast. I never sleep or get close to any man because no one wants to be. with me, especially my mate.

Tonight, I sleep in a cave with a strange man who has saved me from death twice.
