CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 900

"Get down!" Micah shouted, immediately pulling Nina to the ground.

The entire camp quickly went on high alert. Nash began issuing orders, and Wilfred rushed to Nina's side, while Scarlett and Scott joined the main force to counter the attack.

Micah tried to use the chaos to take Nina away, but Wilfred blocked him. "Mr. Micah, Nash specifically instructed that during an attack, it's best not to move around. Besides, Nina has made it clear she doesn't want any ties with the Yaren tribe." Micah's eyes flashed with anger. He was about to retort when Nina stepped forward and grabbed his wrist, her face dark with suspicion. "Did you orchestrate this attack?"

Why else would Micah be standing there so calmly, ready to take her away?

They talked about bringing her back to the Yaren tribe, but they had not mentioned anything about giving Nash the antidote for his poison.

"It wasn't me," Micah said slowly, his expression resolute.

He despised war and wished to transform his country into something like Birkham, though he also resented Birkham. If it weren't for Nina being here, he wouldn't be here at all. Yet, Nina was questioning his intentions now. Nina remained silent, her eyes still filled with doubt as she stared at him.

Micah pressed his lips together and spoke in a low voice, "Nina, I just don't think it's safe here. But if you come with me, I..."

"And what would be the benefit of going with you? Becoming the princess of the Yaren tribe, living a life of endless luxury?" Nina's lips curled into a mocking smile.

The high-ranking members of the Yaren tribe might enjoy those luxuries, but the people at the bottom, the ones in the slave camps and their subordinates, paid the price with their blood.

Micah continued, "It's not like that.

Nina, you are my sister. You are a part of the Yaren tribe. Your identity is something you were born with. Back then, you..."

"What about back then?" Nina's memories were a jumbled mess. She was sensitive to any mention of the past.

"Let's go back to the tent. There will likely be wounded soon," Wilfred said, trying to steer Nina away.

But Nina sensed something was off. She pushed Wilfred away. "Are you hiding something from me?"

Wilfred's behavior seemed like he was trying to distract her.

Wilfred smiled, "What could I be hiding? I just don't want you to be troubled by all this."

Nina did not believe him. Micah had mentioned that the Pharaoh wasz willing to help Wilfred become normal again. Now, Micah was saying all these things, and Wilfred was trying to lead her away

"I'm not going with you," Nina said, distancing herself from Wilfred.

Wilfred, desperate to explain, found himself facing a soldier who suddenly appeared, gun pointed at him. Sensing the misunderstanding, Wilfred quickly said, "I have no intention of harming her."

"Miss Nina, come with me," the soldier said, ignoring Wilfred's words. He was under Nash's orders to protect Nina and would act at the first sign of danger.

Wilfred pressed his lips together, knowing it wasn't the right time to pursue her. He stood still, watching as Nina walked away.

Micah, arms crossed, coldly rebuked him, "You really are too clever for your own good!"
