CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1900

Luna noticed Caleb, but the one to greet him was Simon.

Caleb didn't respond. His lips pressed into a thin line as his gaze fell on Luna, noticing the faint chill in her eyes as she looked at him.

Hunter chuckled lightly. "If we're all acquaintances, why don't we set up a gathering and hang out together?"

Hunter seemed amused by the situation. This self-proclaimed fiancée of Caleb's was intriguing, and with more people, things might loosen up and get interesting.

Unexpectedly, Caleb replied sternly, "There's no point. We're not on the same wavelength. We can't even find common ground to have fun.'

Without waiting for a response, Caleb grabbed Vera's hand and turned to leave.

If not for Luna's presence, Caleb wouldn't have touched Vera, let alone held her hand. But seeing Luna's cold demeanor as she stood beside Simon in a place like this, it was obvious what she was thinking. She believed he was following her on purpose.

Why should he let her think so little of him?

As they were leaving, Simon's voice called out from behind, "Caleb, Luna often mentions you. She says without your help, she wouldn't be where she is today."

Hunter's interest was piqued instantly.

Caleb? Helping another woman? That didn't fit the Caleb he knew-always buried in work and keeping his distance from people. The atmosphere hinted at some juicy gossip, and Hunter wasn't about to miss it. Caleb hadn't expected Luna to share everything with Simon. Did that mean Simon also knew about his repeated failed marriage proposals to her?

The realization hit Caleb like a brick, and his expression darkened noticeably.

"Friends help each other-it's only natural," Caleb said, forcing calm into his voice. "But I'm busy today. I need to spend time with my fiancée."

With that, Caleb pulled Vera into his arms.

Since Vera had made a deal with his father and was unwilling to leave, using her as a prop for now didn't seem like a stretch.

He shot a deliberate glance at Luna, but she didn't even look his way.

Instead, Simon wrapped an arm around Luna's shoulders and said casually, "Since Caleb's not available, let's plan for another time."

"Let's go." Luna left behind just two words, then turned and walked away without looking back.

The moment she walked off, Caleb immediately released Vera.

In less than a minute, Hunter had

pieced together the entire Site over

Caleb's refusal to marry or date over the years was all because of Luna.

QUMS

But Luna's heart? It clearly belonged to the man beside her.

"Even the strongest people aren't immune to heartbreak," Hunter mused.

A faint smirk tugged at Hunter's lips as he quipped, "That woman doesn't even compare to your fiancée. Looks like your dad's judgment is sharper than yours. If you don't want her, maybe-"

Hunter deliberately left the sentence unfinished, the teasing glint in his eyes sharp.

Caleb's expression turned icy. "Maybe what? Are you out of your mind, Hunter?"

Hunter's grin deepened. "Yeah, I'm probably crazy right now. So, what do you say? Why not let me have this beauty?"

Vera's eyes widened in shock as she stared at Hunter.

What kind of lunatics did Caleb surround himself with? How could someone talk so bluntly, like a complete madman?

Caleb's expression darkened even further. He grabbed Vera and strode away.

He didn't like yera, nor did he

appreciate the arranged

engagement, but that didn't mean he could just hand her off to someone else like she was a piece of merchandise. Vera was a person, not a commodity!
