Chapter 75
Chapter 75
This speech astonished Daphne.
Calvin didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He said, "Mr. Turner must be joking! Is Daphne fat? Not at all!"
Daphne rested her chin on her hand, put down the fork and knife, and said, "Mr. Turner considers me fat. Calvin, I have to work hard. Don't tempt me with food again."
"Don't listen to him. You are as thin as a piece of paper now. I am afraid that the wind will blow you away. Eat more. Obviously, Bryan had a fight with his wife and came to vent his anger." Calvin handed the beef, cut, to Daphne.
"His wife... Bryan, are you married?" A trace of surprise flashed across Daphne's beautiful "Cheers." Bryan was in a bad mood. He thought of nothing but wine.
eyes.
"Bryan, are you married? Didn't you say that you would never fall in love with another woman?" Daphne lay one hand on Bryan's arm.
She could see only Bryan at this moment.
Calvin became the third wheel in this situation. He silently picked up the glass and took a sip of wine.
He didn't feel good.
Calvin had known for a long time that Daphne was interested in Bryan.
However, Bryan had kept to himself all these years and showed no interest in women. Therefore, Daphne had to hide her love.
For the friendship of this little group, Calvin hid his love for Daphne too. Moreover, he made himself look like a playboy in the eyes of the world.
The others mistook these three people entangled in love as bosom friends.
Bryan stared at the fair hand on his arm, glanced at Daphne, and said, "Daphne, I once made our relationship clear. Don't cross the line."
Daphne awkwardly pulled her hand away from Bryan. "I'm interested in your marriage. Why are you so serious?"
"That's right. Bryan, why are you so serious all of a sudden? You are rude to your friends after you have a wife. Beauty is more important to you than friendship." Calvin criticized Bryan.
At the stairs, Finley noticed that Daphne and Bryan were intimate.
She squatted at the stairs with disappointment. One waiter came over and asked, "Miss, may I help you? Did you come alone or to join your friends?"
"Shh... I have friends here, but I'll join them later."
Finley went downstairs and got into a bathroom.
She took out the make-up remover and cotton from her bag, cleaned her face, and then retouched her makeup.
Finley didn't need heavy makeup for her fair skin. Some lipstick and light makeup would improve her
appearance.
Then, she loosened her ponytail.
Her silky hair spread over her shoulders like seaweed.
In the mirror, Finley changed from an ugly little girl to a beautiful woman.
When she walked out of the bathroom, the waiter was stunned.
Why did a beautiful woman come out of the bathroom after an ugly girl went in? How weird!
Finley swung her smooth long hair and then walked to the table on the balcony. Daphne was a perfect woman, but Finley wasn't inferior to her at all. Finley was determined to get her husband back!
