Chapter 39
Chapter 39
Andy couldn't help stretching his hand toward Finley because her bangs became ruffled for the wind.
Before that male hand touched her hair, Finley grabbed Andy by his wrist.
"What are you doing?" Finley was both sensitive and agile.
This wariness made Andy, whose hand was in the air, feel awkward.
"Your bangs are in a mess. I wanted to comb them for you. It seems you don't like others to touch you," Andy said cautiously.
"Yes," Finley answered carelessly.
That attempted rate from a dozen of men had become her nightmare.
Finley would become vigilant like a little beast with its fangs exposed whenever a man touched her. Her acquaintances might feel hurt easily.
However, there was something weird..
Finley felt at ease when Bryan was around.
She would stick with Bryan like an octopus. However, Bryan was cool and indifferent to her.
Perhaps, that was why Finley became unscrupulous in front of Bryan.
The bell rang.
Finley shut herer, turned to Andy, and said, "The class will begin soon."
"I'll sit by you today. From now on, I won't let you get hurt." Andy sat up straight, put his textbooks on. the desk, and handed his notebooks to Finley. "You missed the classes of the past few days. These are my notes. Here you are.”
Finley bit her lips in a daze. She didn't know how to deal with Andy.
If there had been more female students in her class, Finley would have died of jealousy and hatred from these girls now.
"Andy, don't you think that I'm ugly? Don't you find my face disgusting as others do?" Finley stared at Andy and suddenly asked.
Andy paused with his beautiful lips split slightly. He looked at Finley seriously and then said, "No. On the contrary, you're beautiful in my eyes." "Don't talk nonsense." Given that big birthmark, how could Andy consider Finley beautiful?
Finley'suspected that something must be wrong with Andy's eyes.
"I didn't! I do think so. I won't spare one glance at those who are beautiful outside but ugly inside."
Andy, anxious to show his sincerity to Finley, spoke fast.
Finley burst into laughter. "Time for class."
In silence, Finley took the notebooks from Andy and read them carefully.
She had a good memory and memorized those notes after reading them several times.
The final exams at the end of this serpester were a good chance for Finley to turn the table, so she
intended to take good advantage of them.
In class, Andy glanced at Finley, who sat next to him, from time to time.
His heart beat wildly.
The class came to an end soon.
Finley walked out of the university with her textbooks in her arms.
Usually, Finley lived on campus. Today, she was anxious to go home to cure Bryan of his sickness. "Finley, where do you live? May I drive you home?" Andy caught up with Finley with the textbook in his arms. The attentive flattery from the school hunk intimidated Finley.
Finley felt those jealous glares from all directions.
Finley was clear that she would be in trouble if she went home with Andy.
"No, thanks. I will hail a taxi."
"My chauffeur will be here soon." Andy was persistent.
A black Maybach pulled over not far away from Finley. A sharp gaze from the backseat of the car settled on Finley intently.
