Chapter |28|~My Favorite Flavor~
Unedited.
Embry’s Pov.
I’ve got to make an escape before I do something stupid like hump his leg. Yes, it’s that serious! I continue to try to look away and search for a way to escape but my eyes are locked in place.
They are locked onto him.
He’s still smiling while he slowly drenches me in from the top to bottom. Starting with the top of my head, scanning every single detail on my face, then at my breast, on my legs, and he even scans over my bare feet. As if he has never seen me before as if this is the first time he has truly looked at me.
This is when I realize one thing. We’re all alone at a clearing, surrounded by pine trees and this invisible force is pulling me towards him, calling for me. Cyrus smiles harder and yet another thing comes to me. I couldn’t run away if I really wanted to and let’s be clear at this point I don’t want to run anywhere other than inside of his arms.
This is exactly what he wanted.
Cyrus didn’t want me to realize that he could hear my thoughts into he was absolutely certain that we were all alone. He was testing me.
“That is correct my sweet thing,” admits my mate as he slowly approaches me. “I was listening in ever since you opened your eyes, sunshine.” He continues to confess and now he’s standing directly in front of me.
His face is only a few inches away from mine. We’re so close I can feel him on me, and he’s not even touching my skin. Not at all.
What the hell is going on? I don’t get it. A couple of hours ago, I hated him and now, now, I feel like I’m...
“Bound to me,” his cinnamon breath fans my face. “You accepted me and I accepted you. You’re bound to me and I’m bound to you. You are mine, Sunshine,” he so boldly declares before smashing his lips down onto mine.
Our lip clashes. Time stops. I close my eyes as this blissful unknown force swallows me whole.
His lips are like magic.
The way that they force this enchanting power to travel through my veins and spark power to sink inside of my bones.
I can’t breathe.
They are soft but firm, hot yet cold, gentle but also rough and demanding. They take me to a magical land, to a different reality. I can live here forever.
He pulls me in towards his Goddess given body, wraps his right arm around my waist, and then deepen our kiss. Electric energy sparks fire inside of my soul. Our bodies are now molded as one. Our lips are pressed together and move in sync. All the bad that has happened so far, has somehow managed to disappear.
Nothing else matters and no one else exists. At this moment of time, our souls have become one.
They taste so sweet. Fresh and energizing. I can’t get enough of them. I can’t get enough of him. My fingers travel through his thick and full mahogany hair, pulling him closer to me. His hair feels like silk, slipping through my fingers and I can’t help but pull a little harder.
Cyrus groans in approval before his savory tongue licks over my top lip, giving me delicious chills, and then the tip of his tongue squeezes in between my two lips, requesting for me to open my mouth. I open my mouth, granting him full access without any hesitation. He can have it his way and almost instantly, I moan from the taste.
UMM, UMM. Good.
The taste of him almost brings me to my knees.
Inside his mouth is warm, inviting, and delicious. His tongue is flavorful, sweet, and satisfying like a warm cup of hot chocolate with a hint of nutmeg and sprinkled with cinnamon, or more like a slowly baked cookie that’s prepared with brown sugar and topped with cinnamon sprinkles. His tongue tastes that sweet. Cinnamon has always been my favorite flavor, well at least up until now. Cyrus’s tongue has won the gold medal.
I don’t believe that anything will ever be able to compete with the wonderful pleasure of tasting him.
Cyrus' sweet and tasteful tongue is my favorite flavor.
He tastes like a freshly baked snickerdoodle. I’ll always want more. It shall never be enough. Now that I have had it I will always want it. Our tongues tangle in a passionate dance is nothing but pure fire and I’ll forever in the day crave the feeling of being burnt by his taste. It’s just that damn good.
Pleasure filled blazing fire with every twist and turn of our lips. Cyrus turns up the heat inside my mouth. He brings the flames, sparking a well-desired fire inside of my soul. I’ve never felt this alive. I’ve never felt this complete. Cyrus’s lips, tongue, and mouth are fulling.
His arms wrapped around my waist is pure electric bliss. Inside of his arms, tasting his tongue, and embracing his touch is everything to me. It feels right like this is how it is supposed to be. His tongue explores every inch of my mouth as if he can’t get enough of me. Our kiss is so desperate and demanding.
It’s more than obvious that we’re hungry for one another.
I can hear my wolf growling in disapproval but also howling in lust. We’re so confused. I know this is wrong and that he will once again break my heart. But right now, I don’t care. This feels so right.
If my heartbreaking is the price that I’ll have to pay then so be it because just a sample of tasting him is worth the risk.
I don’t know how long we stand here and kiss. It feels like an eternity of blissful peace. We’re sharing all tongue and giving all lips actions. I wonder how it will feel if he bites me.
There are rumors that a bite from your mate is filled with nothing but an absolute pleasure. Typically, I don’t believe in rumors but I am curious to see if that particular rumor is true. Oh, how I wish that he would sink his fangs into me.
This kiss that we are sharing for the moment is more than enough to satisfy my craving.
I never want to stop, but eventually, all good things have to come to an end.
Cyrus is the one who makes us part ways. He slides his tongue away, before licking my now swollen bottom lip and then pulls his lips away, slowly. Forcing me to let go of him and also making me suppress a whine from escaping out of my lips.
I meant it when I said that I never wanted the kiss to come to an end because I knew the moment that it did, reality would come crashing down, like right now.
His hands grip onto my waist a little tighter before he decides to let go.
I take a single step back while opening my eyes to give him a wide-eyed stare. My heart is still dancing wildly inside my chest. I place my hand over the top of my chest. No matter, how many times I try to shorten my breathing my heart will not calm down.
Both of us are breathing so hard as if we have just been holding our breath for a long while and finally gained some air. I don’t need a mirror to know that my features are drenched in shock and awareness. I can’t believe that he kissed me or better yet the fact that I kissed him back.
Oh, yeah, and let’s not forget that I liked it. I mean really, really liked it. Well actually, I loved it and I still want more. I’m craving the taste of him.
Cyrus unnaturally brilliant golden eyes are drenched in anything except shocked. In fact, he doesn’t appear to be shocked at all, but he does appear to be aware. Very, aware! He is fully aware of me. He’s watching me like a hawk, patiently awaiting my next move.
It’s like he expects me to run away from him and like he’s preparing himself for the chase. Cyrus is ready for me.
He’s a smart man, I’ll give him that because I do want to run. But I don’t want to run away from him. No, I want to run back into to him and smash my lips right back into his. I want more.
I mean if you was staring at him right now you would too. He just looks so good and tastes so freaking delicious, especially right now.
Thanks to his plump and juicy lips being swollen from our kiss. His thick and full mahogany hair is way messier than usual because of my hands. He looks exotic and foreign like a forbidden fruit that I was never supposed to taste but shall always crave. So, yeah duh! Of course, I want more.
Even if deep down inside I know that I shouldn’t but I can’t help it. His lips were meant for my lips. He is my mate.
No one will ever be able to satisfy my craving at this point. No matter how good of a kisser they are. I mean, I’m a virgin but I’ve been kissed before.
Cyrus releases a deep growl and his golden eyes start to swirl with red, looking like a mixing pot of boiling lava but I don’t respond. If he doesn’t like what I’m staying, he needs to stay out of my head.
Anyway, like I was saying. I’ve kissed before but it feels like I haven’t kissed before.
Let me be clear I have never had a kiss like the one that I have just shared with Cyrus.
His lips and tongue are my new favorite flavor.
“Is that right,” questions my mate with a smug grin, like he wasn’t just standing in front of me looking very pissed off. His eyes are now back to their normal shade of lustful gold.
“Your lips and tongue are also my new favorite flavors,” he continues on once again reminding me that he can now read my thoughts before he turns around to walk away.
Of course, I follow right behind him. “How are you doing that,”
“I’ve already told you. Both of us have accepted our bond. Think of it as a honeymoon stage.”
He’s talking in circles. “You’re talking in circles,” I tell him exactly how I feel.
“No I’m not, candy lips,” answers Cyrus, making me blush.
He called me candy lips. I like it, but he doesn’t need to know that.
“Too late I already do,” says my mate, and I don’t need to see his face to know that his flashing a cocky smile.
“Can you please stop reading my thoughts,”
“Nope,” he says straight up. Ughhh! I give up.
“Okay, then! At least tell me how you are reading them,” that’s the least he can do.
“You already aware that you are my beloved, just like I’m already aware that I’m your mate. Nothing has changed except the fact that we both accepted who we are to one another,” tells Cyrus while shrugging his shoulders as if that explains anything.
I release a deep sigh in response to his so-called explanations and continue to follow him. I don’t have the energy to try to figure him out at the moment. Things are already too complicated between the two of us if you ask me. Besides, I’ve got bigger fish to fry like why my wolf is acting so hostile towards me.
Or more like why I can still feel the imprint of Cyrus's lips craved onto my lips, like a tattoo.
“I see you found a way to keep me out of that pretty little head of yours,” suddenly says Cyrus, while ducking his head underneath a tree branch.
Huh?!“What are you talking about,” I question him, now ducking underneath the tree branch myself.
“I’ve blocked him out,” my wolf voice suddenly appears inside of my head.
“Thanks,” I tell her and I mean it. I don’t like the fact that my mate can hear my thoughts. I need to have some privacy.
“There is no need to thank me. It was more for my benefit than for yours,” she snaps at me before her presence once again disappears.
I release another deep sigh I don’t know what’s up with her. But before I have a chance to further elaborate I bump right into a rock hard and solid surface. Cyrus' soulfully deep golden eyes are blazing fire into my soul when I look up to face the wall that has put a stop to my movement.
His manly glory is the wall. “Are you finish talking to your wolf, Embry,” he questions me. The sound of my first name rolling off his tongue makes me shiver.
“How did you know I was talking to my wolf,” I answer his question with a question of my own.
“You’re a very clever wolf,” he lowers his head and whispers into my left ear. I shiver. “I love how my voice and touch can make you shiver,” he tells, making me roll my eyes. He’s really cocky.
“Don’t flatter yourself, darling,” I whisper right back into his right ear. “We’re in New York in the month of December. I’m not dressed for this weather. Nor, do I have on a pair of shoes. So, of course I’m shivering. I’m cold.”
He lets out a peal of hearty laughter as if he finds me highly amusing. “Yeah, you are cold to me baby,” Cyrus winks before he suddenly lifts me up into his arms and pulls me close to his chest. My legs are now dangling.
Now, typically I would complain. I don’t like to be pampered or treated like I’m fragile, but I am truly exhausted. Plus the electric sparks and waves of warm pleasure heat up my entire body making it absolutely impossible to tell him to put me down.
So, I just sigh and enjoy the ride.
My mind starts to wander and I can’t help but think how ironic his statement is.
I’m not the cold one he is but there is no purpose in pointing out the obvious. Like my father used to say, “Embug, if you can’t say something nice don’t say it at all,” I can just hear his booming voice inside of my head.
I really do miss my dad.
“I apologize, I should have made sure you were better dressed,” expresses Cyrus, as his eyes scan the forest.
My heart swells from his apology. Cyrus is a proud man, I don’t think too many people receive the luxury of receiving an apology from him, no matter how little it is. I’ll take it.
Now, I know I’m only making it worse for myself. I’m opening up to him, knowing that he can break my heart again whenever he wants within a second. Most people, won’t even allow him to kiss them let alone carry them when you think about all he has put me through. In my defense, Cyrus's lips and tongue are delicious and I know I already said this but inside of his arms feels like home.
“Our home is in the West,” suddenly reminds my wolf. I can’t believe you. All he had to do was kiss your lips one little time, hold you inside of his arms, and now your head over hills for him again. Where is your fight? You’re so weak,” she growls and then disappears before I have a chance to respond.
What is wrong with her? She has never been like this. Her growing resentment towards me is nerve-wracking, or more like depressing. She is my other half. I can’t live without her.
“Are you okay,” Cyrus' voice breaks my train of thoughts. He has stopped walking and all of his attention is now placed onto me.
“I’m fine,” I tell a big lie while blinking away my tears.
“You’re a horrible liar, Embry,” Cyrus catches one of my escaped tears with a single finger and detects my lie.
Gosh, I really am a bad liar. “Embry,” his deep voice is soothing. “Tell me what’s wrong. Open up to me,”
“Why should I,” my voice is no more than a whisper. “Why should I open up to the man who has done nothing but crush my heart since I’ve met him.”
“Because I will spend every single day for the rest of eternity putting the pieces of your heart back together,” confesses Cyrus and I melt. How can someone who was so cruel 24 hours ago become so sweet and loving overnight?
“It’s a trick,” growls my wolf. “Use your head, Embry, it’s a trick,” she repeats and I must admit she may have a point. “Yeah, I do. Ask him to claim you and I bet the truth shall come out,” she says before disappearing again.
I take a moment to recollect my thoughts. Cyrus’s confession and my wolf's evaluation is too much to bear. Suddenly, my head hurts. It’s too much.
Cyrus' soulfully deep golden eyes linger on to my face, searching for a response for a little longer before he continues to walk through the forest and carry me close to his chest. I have to fight the urge to run my finger over his chest several times.
I wonder where he is taking me too. It feels like he is walking forever. My thoughts continue to roam and my heartbeat seems to be the only sound that could be heard for at least a mile radius. After a while, my head starts to roll over and end up resting on his chest.
His mulberry spice scent once again invades my senses. He smells so good.
This is the moment, I decide that his scent is my new favorite smell.
Cyrus is my new favorite everything.
Hey Love Bugs, Here’s an early update. I may or may not update two more times things week but I surely will update by Friday. This Chapter is a lot shorter because the previous chapter was longer. It is called Balance. See you later.
