Captive [MXM]

Chapter A Night Alone

Without another word I headed up the stairs. By the time I got to his office I was growing a little bit nervous. I knocked anyway.

"Come in," he called and I opened the door. He was sitting at his desk on his lap top. He gave me one look and then returned to his computer, "get out."

I blinked in surprise, "excuse me?"

"I said get out. You're not welcome here," he scowled and rolled his eyes. I really wasn't in the mood for this. At this point my nervousness was already being replaced with annoyance.

"What did I even do?" I rolled my eyes and walked right up to his desk.

"Think about it, Paige. You're not stupid," he snapped and rose from his seat.

"No, I'm not fucking stupid and neither are you so stop acting like a child. There are important things to take care of," I waved my hand and frowned. He turned an angry look on me.

"You don't get to come into my house and disrespect me. Get out before I do something you'll regret," he clenched his jaw and came to stand right in front of me. I didn't back down.

"Come on then, put me in my place just like you want to. Shut me up, Warren," I taunted him and gasped softly when he wrapped his hand around my throat and backed me against the wall. His grip was almost too tight.

"Don't make me hurt you," Warren grit his teeth as I balled my fingers in his shirt.

"Maybe I want you- tuh-to hurt me," I whispered and looked up at him.

"No, you don't. You want me to tell you that you're a good boy," he rolled his eyes and loosened his grip a little bit.

"Or maybe I want you to bend me over your desk and spank me until I cry," I arched a brow and refused to back down.

He stared at me for a moment, "what is wrong with you?"

"I'm fucking angry," I hissed, "I've been lied to by two very important people in my life and I need you to stop acting like an asshole so you can talk to the vampires downstairs."

"What important people?" Of course that's all he heard.

"Who are the only two fucking people in my life, Warren?" I snapped as his hands slid down to my hips and he held me against the wall.

It appeared he was drawing a blank.

"You and fucking Jakob," I rolled my eyes and looked away from him.

"What did I do?" He asked and I almost got distracted when he began to rub little circles into my hips with his thumbs.

"I'm not getting into it right now. We have to go talk to Nikolai Sylvonovich who is currently waiting on you right now," I pursed my lips and folded my arms over my chest.

"The king?" He asked and furrowed his brow.

"Who the fuck else?" I snapped.

"If you swear at me one more time I'm going to bend you over my knee right here," Warren said in a stern tone and I immediately perked up. I hadn't heard that voice from him in a long time. "Now tell me what he's doing here."

"Y-yes, Sir," I mumbled and stared up at him with big eyes, "he's looking for someone that you might have a connection with."

"Who?" His voice was still hard.

"I-I don't remember," I mumbled and bunched my shoulders up to my ears, "I'm sorry."

He clicked his tongue in annoyance and released me, "let's go then."

I frowned and followed after him as we headed down the steps. I was relieved to see that everyone seemed fine in the living room. Warren was taking his sweet time.

"I never expected to see someone of such high esteem in my home," he remarked and looked down at Nikolai and sat in a seat. I stood behind his chair. Jakob was sitting to the side and Nikolai and his companion sat on the opposing couch.

"Pleased to meet you," he answered, "you must be Warren."

"Yes, Paige tells me you're here for something?" He asked and placed a hand on his hip.

"We're looking for someone," he nodded, "someone that you may have done business with before."

"I do a lot of business with a lot of people. You'll have to be more specific," Warren answered bluntly and folded his arms over his chest.

"Do you know someone named Alexey Dragomir?" Lux asked and leaned forward. Warren snorted and smiled.

"It's him you're after? Good luck," he rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair.

"So you have done business with him," Nikolai remarked, "for how long?"

"Well of course I have, he's a reliable partner and he pays well," Warren shrugged, "we've been in contact for just under six months."

"I can pay well too so help us find him," the vampire shot back and crossed his legs.

"Not worth it. You don't have what I want," he answered and folded his arms over his chest.

"Excuse me? Why not?" Nikolai asked in disbelief.

"Alexey has a lot of power in my kind of world. I'm not putting a target on my back," he rolled his jaw, "he's a valuable ally and a dangerous enemy."

"Please, we need to find him," Nikolai sounded desperate, "it doesn't have to be money. What do you want?"

Warren grinned. I paled.

"Warren, please don't-"

"The only thing I want is Paige," he waved his hand and propped his ankle on his knee as I turned red, "and that's not something you can give me."

"Please be reasonable," I muttered and placed my hands on his shoulders.

"I'm being perfectly reasonable," he pursed his lips, "give me one night."

Jakob began to voice his objection.

"I'm not going to screw him, Evanston," he snapped and I felt like I was actually being bargained for.

"Don't I get a choice?" I asked and blinked in surprise.

"Do you want to find him?" Warren shot back and glanced back at me.

I pursed my lips, "you wouldn't even do it for me?"

"We're past that, aren't we?" He arched a brow and I pursed my lips.

"You actually have to put in effort," I frowned at him.

"Of course," he shrugged and looked back ahead.

"Then fine. I'll stay the night sometime," I answered even though Jakob still looked like he didn't agree. He didn't get a say in my life right now.

"Good. We'll talk tomorrow," Warren shrugged and stood up.

Lux stood to, "wait, you didn't tell us anything about him."

"I'm not going to. It's late and I have work to do," he shot back, "if you want answers then you can have them tomorrow."

"Warren-" I began.

"I said no. I don't care who you are. You can play by my rules or find someone else," he scowled and Nikolai placed a hand on Lux's shoulder.

"It's fine, Lux. We'll just come back tomorrow morning," he reassured him, "it gives us more time anyways."

He pursed his lips but nodded as Warren gestured to Vlad who gladly escorted them out.

I turned to Jakob who was now also standing but Warren caught my wrist.

"Let me go. I want to go home," I huffed and Jakob stepped forward.

"You agreed to stay the night," he arched a brow.

"You meant tonight?" I sputtered and his expression didn't change. I frowned and shook him off.

"Just let me say goodnight to Jakob," I whispered and he rolled his eyes before walking out of the room. Jakob came forward to embrace me but I held him at arms length.

"I'm still angry with you. I think staying away for a night might be a good thing for right now," I breathed and I could see his expression crumble.

"But are you safe here? What if he hurts you?" He asked gently and placed a hand on my upper arm.

"He won't. I'll be fine," I mumbled, "just go home and I'll call you tomorrow morning, okay? After they have their talk we can go home and have ours."

He clenched his jaw but nodded anyways, "okay. Can I at least kiss you goodnight?"

I sighed and opened my arms after a moment. He cupped my cheeks and pressed a kiss to the top of my head and then my forehead.

"I love you, Paige. I know I messed up but I'll make it up to you," he assured me and stepped back.

"Okay," I mumbled as we headed out of the room. Lux and Nikolai were gone but Warren was waiting outside the room for me. Jakob cast me one last look before he left and Warren took me by the wrist.

His grip was tight as we headed up the stairs. I quickly grew nervous at his silence and firm grasp. I didn't know what he was going to do. I didn't have any anger to protect me now either.

"Warren," I whispered, "where are you taking me? What are you going to do?"

He rolled his jaw and didn't look back at me, "I'd love to whip you bloody and then leave you to cry but I don't think you'd like that."

"You're not going to fuck me?" I asked softly. I thought he might go for it anyways.

"No. In case you haven't noticed, Paige I'm pretty fucking angry with you," he snapped and released my arm as we walked down the hall. "Go to your room. Lorcan will drive you home in the morning."

I looked at him with disbelief as he walked towards his office. After a few moments of staring dumbly I stepped out to catch him and grabbed his shirt.

"No wait, please," I whispered and he stopped with his back to me. I was finally beginning to realize the extent of his anger, "what have I done?"

"You broke the camel's back," he shrugged and folded his arms over his chest, "now let me go before I hurt you, Paige."

"You'd hurt me?" I whispered in absolute disbelief. I thought he wasn't serious before.

He was so close to me, "that's the only I want to do with you right now."

My heart sank to my stomach in fear and disappointment.

"But Warren-" I whispered and reached out for him but he caught my wrist to stop me, "I didn't mean to upset you."

"It's not going to work on me this time," he scowled and squeezed my wrist tightly, "you can't just bat your pretty blue eyes and get whatever you want from me."

I drew my lower lip out in a pout, "but why? Please, I'm sorry. Don't shut me out."

He flicked my hand away and began to step back but I stepped forward.

"Daddy, please," I whimpered and looked up at him with pleading eyes.

"Don't call me that," he sneered and clenched his fists at his sides.

"Please," I whimpered and fisted his shirt with my other hand, "don't leave me."

Warren whirled around and shoved me against the wall with his hand around my throat. I gasped and stared up at him in terror.

"I never fucking left you to begin with," he snarled, "you're the one that left. You don't get to decide to come back whenever you want. I tried to tell you that I wasn't ready yet and look where that's brought us."

My eyes were brimming with tears. Why now? Why had I pushed him over now? I had just begun to fall for him again. He was getting better. We were getting better.

"Warren," my lower lip wobbled. I knew he didn't want me to call him it but I couldn't stop myself, "Daddy, please. I need you."

His jaw tightened as he stepped back from me, "you obviously have Jakob now."

I tried to hold back a sob as I reached out for him again, "please, tell me what you want. I'll do anything you want."

Warren simply stared down at me with an emotionless expression, "then leave."

"No, please. Not that," I sobbed pitifully and fisted my hands in the front of his shirt, "you can have me. You can punish me. You can f-fuck me. You can do whatever you want with me just don't leave. Please don't leave me alone."

He was still as cold as stone, "I don't want anything to do with you right now. Get out of my sight."
