Chapter 219 Sylvester's Rage
Soon, Mildred and Trenton rushed in from the perimeter.
Seeing the wound on Sylvester's back, they were full of worry.
Trenton said in horror, "Mr. Gomez, you are injured."
Mildred roared, "I'm going to kill them." He was about to go outside.
Trenton hurriedly grabbed Mildred's arm and said, "The most important thing now is to treat Mr. Gomez's wound and then go to the valley. It is no different from seeking death for you to go out to the enemies now." "Shut up," Sylvester said with an angry face, gritting his teeth.
For a while, no one spoke.
Lela took a deep breath and looked at Mildred and Trenton, saying, "Don't worry. There are many traps and defensive measures that can prevent them from entering. Those people dare not come in recklessly." After speaking, she stood up from Sylvester's back. Trenton helped Sylvester up from the ground. Lela looked down at Sylvester and ordered the others. "You two stay here and don't move. I'll go find some herbs." Lela's blood could detoxify, and her body had extremely strong healing abilities, but she couldn't heal others.
Her capabilities were limited when it came to curing others' injuries.
When Sylvester heard that Lela wanted to go alone, he was worried. He said, "Stop right there. Who allowed you to leave? I won't die easily."
Sylvester didn't want her to find herbs as he was worried that something might happen to her. He couldn't lose her.
He would not let Lela risk her life.
Lela ignored Sylvester's angry words and turned to leave.
"Lela..." Sylvester called out to her, with a furious tone.
Lela still ignored him.
Sylvester kicked Mildred beside him and said, "What are you waiting for? Go after her."
Mildred touched his buttock after being kicked. He then went after Lela.
Lela had just left. Sylvester watched as her figure disappeared, his face turning extremely gloomy.
He didn't like seeing her resolute back because it made him feel suffocated.
For the first time, he felt so useless.
He thought, 'Ha, she is bold now. She even dared to disobey my words.'
Trenton knew he couldn't console Sylvester, so he shifted his gaze. "Mr. Gomez, when I came over, I saw some bodies of our enemies who died in the explosion. They are members of the Wolf gang," he informed. "Wolf gang?" Sylvester sat on the grass, leaning against a tree with his head hanging down. He sneered, "It's the Wolf gang again."
Sylvester thought that he would not let any of them go if he could survive this time.
"Where are the others?" Sylvester asked, frowning and turning his head after a long while.
Hearing that, Trenton clenched his fist. "The severely injured ones are dead, and the others have run away in different directions. I don't know where they are now," he answered.
The mountains were too vast, and the forests too dense. Once they entered, they lost their sense of direction.
...
Within the mountains were precious treasures and ancient medicinal herbs.
Since Lela had been learning medicine with the divine doctor, she was familiar with herbs. Soon, Lela and Mildred found many of the herbs they needed.
They didn't dare to go too far, fearing unexpected events.
Mildred looked at the items in his hand, looked in wonder, and asked, "Lela, how do you...recognize these herbs?"
Ever since witnessing Lela's bloody methods last time, he knew that Lela was not an ordinary woman.
Lela had just picked up a handful of herbs. She handed it to Mildred and didn't intend to hide it. She casually said, "I came from the valley where the divine doctor lived, so recognizing these herbs is easy for me." Mildred thought in shock, 'What? Does the valley really exist in this world? Lela actually came from there. How many identities does she actually have?'
Mildred had worked for Sylvester for years, so he soon regained his composure.
After all, there were already mutants in this world, so he thought it was not strange at all to have such a mysterious valley.
Mildred suddenly became interested. He asked, "Lela, how many identities do you actually have?"
Upon hearing that, Lela became curious and turned to look at Mildred. "Why do you want to know that?" she asked.
