Can't Let Go

Chapter 8 She didn't Get it

Ouch! It hurts!

Fang Xiaokui's nonsense made Linda Yun tap on her head.

"As long as you know this pain, don't rave these words again!" Linda Yun cast an angry glance to her and pushed the door open.

Patricia Bai was still asleep. Fruits scattered everywhere on the table.

"Why do you bring fruits again? We haven't finished what you brought last time." Linda Yun put her stuff away and took fruits from Kui's hands.

Barbara Fangtook a seat. She exclaimed, "My parents own this fruit shop, and you can just have as much as you like."

"That's your parents' money by the way. I can't waste these fruit, wait a minute, I'll pay you."

Barbara Fangstood up and protested, "What do you mean? You don't like what I give you?"

Linda Yun walked to her hurriedly and covered Kuis mouth with her hand, "Hush, my mother's sleeping."

Barbara Fangpouted unhappily.

Linda Yun explained right away, "You know I didn't mean that. I just feel that it is not easy for your parents to make some money, and you have always been helping me these years..."

"Enough, you have already hurt my feelings!" Barbara Fangturned a mad face to her, which made Linda Yun shut her mouth.

For a moment, Linda Yun did not know how to reply. She thought she could buy some gifts and come to visit Kui's parents in a few days.

Hey, let's get outta of this room. I have something to tell you. Barbara Fanglooked around.

Linda Yun looked at her doubtfully.

"Well, get out of here!"

Kui held her hand, opened the door and stepfell outside.

"What's it?"

Barbara Fangheaded to the window and asked, "She's engaged, do you have an idea about that?"

"Yeah."

"You know that?"

Linda Yun giggled on seeing her jaw, "Everybody knows it, right? The richest guy in Austral City is engaged."

"That's right..." Kui frowned. The she asked, "Do you think they will invite you to the party?"

Linda Yun shrugged her shoulders and said, "What do you think?"

Fang curled her lips and murmured, "How come she lives a luxurious life and you..."

"Kui!" Linda Yun cut her words immediately, "You don't have to feel unfair for me. And I don't think it's inappropriate anyway."

Barbara Fangbit her lip. She knew that as long as her mother was in good health, it would be enough for her best friend.

"Well, right, I've just gone to the payment office, they told me that you've already paid all the fees. Where did you get that huge sum of money?"

Linda Yun was a little bit stuck, then she uttered, "I borrowed some money from him yesterday."

"But didn't you tell me that he didn't wanna see you?" Kui was a little bit worried, "Was he mean to you?"

Linda Yun's heart beat wildly for a moment.

"Never come here again, I don't wanna see your face!"

"We have already divorced. Whether she lives or dies has nothing to do with me now!"

"I hear that your mother is in bad condition and you're running out of money? Help your sister and I give you 30 bucks."

"Take the money and get your ass back to Phoenix City!"

Linda Yun couldn't help clutching her hands.

She just couldn't figure out the reason why this so-called father was being so hostile with her.

"Nian... Nian..." Barbara Fangcalled her as she noticed that Linda Yun's face was turning pretty pale.

Linda Yun then came to herself, looked at Kui and said, "What?"

"Are you alright?" Kui inquired in concern.

"Nothing!" she gave her a beaming face as an answer.

"Well, if you have any problems or difficulties, just let me know. Oops, your mom is having the operation next week, right?"

Linda Yun nodded, "Yes, I have been waiting for it forever!"

Kui held her hands and consoled her, "Everything is gonna be fine. God bless her. I'll accompany you here on the operation day."

"Thank you!" Linda Yun hugged her and leaned on her shoulder.

She was just so exhausted.
