Callous Boss and Awkward Wife

Wang Feng figures out that Yu Fei hesitates. She tries to add fuel to the flames when somebody knocks at the door. Nanny walks to the door and opens it. Gu Yi stands outside the door with many groceries in his hands. He asks nanny naturally: "Where is Fei?"

Aunt Lee looks awkward and points at the room, saying with her tongue tied: "Someone came to visit her, and she doesn't look well."

Hearing this, Gu Yi puts down the groceries immediately and rushes to the room. He sees that Wang Feng and Yu Fei stand face to face. Yu Fei's face, just like what is told by Aunt Lee, looks pale. But Wang Feng looks very pleased. Surely, she looks wicked.

"Get out!"

Gu Yi walks over Yu Fei, stands in front of her and speaks to Wang Feng gravely, his finger pointing at the door.

Wang Feng keeps looking at Gu Yi and Yu Fei. Her ambiguous look and the expression in her eyes seem to tell that Gu Yi and Yu Fei have an affair.

Gu Yi doesn't notice that but Yu Fei can't stand that look.

She pats the shoulder of Gu Yi, telling him to stand aside. Then she walks closer to Wang Feng. She still takes a tough stance but calms down a little bit.

"Just go out. You are not welcome here at my home. Do not come again."

Wang Feng is really mad because she spends a lot time here and only gets these words. But she has to hide her anger to finish the play. She talks like a nice elder and pretends that she says all these for Yu Fei's own good: "Fei, you really need to think about what I told you today. We are family. There's not a single chance that I will harm you."

Even Gu Yi is annoyed by Wang Feng's words, not to mention that Yu Fei has listened to her nonsense for a while. He asks her to get out before she finishes her words.

"Enough. What the hell you are talking about? Save your nonsense to others! Aunt Lee, send her out!"

"Mrs. Wang, this way please." Nanny comes over and makes a gesture to send the guest out.

Wang Feng looks at Yu Fei but the latter doesn't stop nanny. Her face darkens immediately and she can't hide her anger any longer. So, she yells at Yu Fei: "I've raised you for so many years. But all these go for nothing. If you dead father knows that you become such an ungrateful person, he will certainly teach you a lesson!"

Hearing that Wang Feng mentions her father, Yu Fei can't pretend to be deaf. She stares at Wang Feng severely and warns: "You'd better not mention my father ever again. Otherwise......"

Wang Feng is surprised by Yu Fei's look and her heart misses a beat. She thinks Yu Fei knows what mistake she has committed, which caused Yu Fei's father's death. She swallows anxiously. But she is still stubborn and reluctant to admit her mistakes: "Why can't I mention him? I was his wife! We were legally married!"

Yu Fei is so mad with Wang Fong that she breathes heavily with her chest heaving up and down.

Gu Yi frowns when he sees Yu Fei like this. He puts one hand on her shoulder and comforts her with a low voice: "There's no need to care about her words." And then he speaks to nanny: "Aunt Lee. Send her out. Hurry up."

Aunt Lee standing aside acts as if awakened from a dream. She sees the unkind expression in his eyes, so she dares not to hesitate. She walks to Wang Feng and takes her hand to drag her out vigorously.

"Mrs. Wang, good-bye." Nanny opens the door and speaks to her while pushing her out. Then, nanny closes the door. She hears Wang Feng scolding outside the door for a few minutes.

The house falls quiet after Wang Feng leaves. Yu Fei sits down on the couch and leans back, feeling exhausted.

Gu Yi knows that she is not in a good mood. He doesn't speak a word to her and walks to the door to pick up the groceries and hands them to nanny. "Aunt Lee, these are tonics. Cook them for Fei every couple day." Nanny answers, takes the tonics to the kitchen and puts everything in the cupboard in order.

Gu Yi leaves a bag of grocery on his hand and takes it to Yu Fei. He sits down beside her. Yu Fei feels too tired to move. Her eyes blink and then focus on a pink baby dress in front of her.

She looks at Gu Yi who holds the dress in confusion. "We've bought baby clothes last time. Why you bought them again?" She says it lightly but Gu Yi feels the pleasantness in her words. Although she says that, she doesn't seem to hate the dress. Instead, she takes the dress with her hands and looks closely at it. The more she looks at it, the cuter the dress is to her. Gu Yi knows that she must speak the opposite of what she really thinks about. He smiles tenderly: "I saw this on the road to your home. I knew you were gonna love it, so I bought it."

Yu Fei seems to glow with maternity, which touches Gu Yi. He twitches his mouth and the unpleasant look on his face quickly fades away. Then he switches to a pleasant look and asks: "Have you ever thought about which you want, a boy or a girl?"

Yu Fei cocks her head and thinks about it seriously with her hands holding the dress: "If possible, I want a pretty little daughter, so I can dress her up like a beautiful little princess. A son is fine. He will be very handsome because he gets his daddy's genes."

Yu Fei is happy but she becomes sad when talking about Ko Chen. She stops talking and the smile on her face fades away.

Seeing this, Gu Yi feels annoyed. But he doesn't show it, instead, he just picks another topic naturally.

"I came as soon as I got off work. And I haven't had dinner. Ms. Yu, would you please have dinner with me?" Gu Yi stoops intentionally with one hand behind his back and the other inviting her like a gentleman from the Middle Ages. Yu Fei is amused by his manner and quickly forgets what she thought about Ko Chen just now and says yes.

Aunt Lee recooks the meal and all of the dishes are steaming hot. They smell very delicious and are of various colors. The color and the smell make the two hungry.

Yu Fei has got pregnancy vomiting reaction recently and doesn't want eat anything. But somehow, she doesn't feel like vomiting today and finishes a bowl of rice quickly.

Aunt Lee refills the bowl for her and smiles: "Usually Ms. Yu can't eat a bowl of rice. She only has a good appetite when Mr. Gu is here."

Gu Yi feels extremely happy when hearing this. He looks at Yu Fei with his eyes exuding tenderness and love and speaks to her with the tongue in the cheek: "Seems that I need to come over more often to have dinner with you."
