Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Castiel returned home in the afternoon.
After making several phone calls from his study, he emerged to find Niamh in casual attire,
holding a piglet which was dressed in a charming little dress.
Without warning, Castiel stormed over, yanked the piglet out of her arms, and tossed it onto the couch.
Niamh glared at him. "What the hell are you doing?"
Macy had been kidnapped, and so he was taking it out on her?
"I have something to ask you."
"Then ask! Why throw Ginger around?"
Castiel was losing it. Here he was, overwhelmed, and she was fussing over a pig?
She always had a way of getting under his skin and pushing him to the brink.
He sat down and tossed Ginger even further away!
Niamh shot him a sharp look, silently retrieved Ginger and cradled it gently as she murmured, "There, there, Ginger. We don't argue with crazy people." Her calm defiance only infuriated him more.
"What did you do to Macy?"
Niamh narrowed her eyes at him. She recognized that tone all too well.
In her previous life, when Macy had been kidnapped, Castiel had come rushing home, just like now, accusing her in the very same way.
Back then, the pain of being interrogated had crushed her. Now, she felt nothing but numbness
"You should be asking your sister what she did."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Niamh's voice rose as she retorted, "That should be my question. Castiel, are you seriously questioning me because of some other woman?"
Niamh bristled with fury, and for a moment, Castiel's anger wavered, sobering him slightly. She was right. Why was he accusing his wife over someone else? Castiel took a deep breath to calm himself, his tone softening. "Niamh, Macy's been kidnapped."
"And?"
"No one else has a motive but you."
"And?" Niamh pressed, daring him to continue. She wanted to hear it. Whether he would actually say the words this time and accuse her of kidnapping Macy. Chaptér

In her previous life, when he'd confronted her, Niamh's first response had been a straightforward denial. However, he replied, "I know you're angry, but this is all a misunderstanding. Just tell me where she is."
He had immediately assumed she was guilty.
Niamh could still vividly remember the cold certainty in Castiel's eyes. The chill that settled in her heart then was still with her now.
Alas, what could she do when powerless?
