Bring Your A Game, Mr

Chapter 199

Chapter 199 Wait for Me to Come Back

The victim's voice was interrupted before the words could even be fully expressed. "I'll give you an hour," the caller added. "If you're not here by then, this kid won't live to see another sunrise."

When the call abruptly ended, Elise's face darkened. Then, she turned around to look at Alexander, who could sense her mood change. "Did anything happen?"

As she tried her best to remain calm, Elise nonchalantly answered, "It's nothing big. I just can't go to the movies with you later as I have an emergency to settle."

Although he was curious, he refrained from prying and instead replied, "I'll send you there."

Despite that, she rejected him. "It's fine. I'm sorry, but please wait for me to come back because I have something important to tell you as well." Alexander grunted in acknowledgement and watched as she left.

It was after Elise left the restaurant that her expression darkened almost immediately before she quickly hailed a cab and entered the vehicle.

She never expected someone to learn about her and even kidnap Jamie.

Elise had figured that she managed to keep herself well under the radar throughout these years and never thought that someone would discover her identity. Looks like tonight will be a hard battle to fight. "I'll give you half an hour to prepare 3 million for me," she said after calling an unknown number.

At the same time, the person on the other end of the call was obviously delighted upon hearing Elise's voice. "Elise, is that you?"

"Yes. Be quick, though. I'm coming over shortly to get the money. Also, I need you to prepare a car with excellent performance and a weapon."

"Understood."

After ending the call, Elise's gaze darkened before she urged the cab driver to increase his speed.

On the other hand, Alexander felt a hint of disappointment as he stared at the empty seat in front of him after she left. Right when he was about to leave, he received a call from Cameron. "Boss, I've heard rumors that something huge is going to happen tonight. Someone has kidnapped one of Dragonweiss' core members. It seems like they are trying to bait the leader of Dragonweiss to reveal themselves."

The corner of Alexander's lips curled upward at that moment. "Someone actually have the guts to try and offend their leader?"

"I can't get any information about them at this point, but I heard that it's a huge commotion. Our men are afraid to investigate deeper without further commands, so they're asking for your opinion."

Dragonweiss was an underground organization that was formed three years ago and they had already managed to widen their influence at the speed of light. In the span of around two to three years, they had already managed to take over more than half of the entire underground scene.

Nevertheless, none of the core members of Dragonweiss had ever revealed themselves to the public.

As for their leader, there were many rumors about the person.

Most of the tittle-tattle described the person as having a legendary identity, so almost everyone in the underground scene wanted to know who the leader of Dragonweiss was.

This included Alexander as well.

"Don't interfere with their issue first. Get hold of their exact coordinates and send it to me."

"Yes, Young Master Alex."

After hanging up the call, Alexander stared at the empty seat in front of him and looked as if he was deep in thought. It was a known fact that Athesea was being dominated by two large underground organizations the recently established Dragonweiss and Midnight Reign, which had been in existence for ages.

However, no one knew that the boundless heir of the Griffith Group, Alexander, was actually masquerading as the leader of Midnight Resign and held the ultimate say everywhere. Right then, he thought, Would Elise still choose to be with me when she discovers my identity?

On the other hand, Elise had already arrived at the mutually agreed meeting point and all the things that she requested in advance were all prepared for her. "These are all the things that you requested for," the man mentioned to her. "Is that enough?"

She glanced at the items. "It's enough. Bring me my mask."

"Alright." The man immediately headed off to grab a fox mask for Elise to wear.

"Do you need us to come with you?"

"You can arrange for some of our men to keep an eye around that place and to listen to guns being fired as a signal. If I don't come out after half an hour, you guys can make a move."

"Understood."

Then, Elise asked her men to move the suitcase bearing the money to the car before she entered the driver's seat. She started the engines after stabbing the keys in the ignition and sped off.

Since she was speeding, she had only spent 15 minutes when it would originally take 30 minutes to arrive in Westhill Garden. Upon reaching the place, she noticed that it was so quiet that chills went down her spine.

Elise noted that she still had 20 minutes left before their deal when she looked at her wristwatch. So, she calmly sat in the car while observing her surroundings before her phone rang less than two minutes later. "As expected from you to actually have the courage to come alone. I really admire your guts."

She replied coldly, "Stop wasting my time. I've already brought over all the requested items, so where is he?"

"Don't be agitated. Since it's a deal, I'll obviously return the kid once I have the money. Get out of the car now and come in without any weapons."

Her hand reached out for the hidden weapon at the bottom of her pants as her gaze darkened. "I can come in alone, but I need to see the person whom I want to see. If I can't leave with him in one piece today I'll make sure that all of you pay for it."

"Haha!" An obnoxious laugh rang out from the other end of the call. "We shall see if you can actually do that. Now, get out of the car and come on in."

Elise then pushed the door open and stared at the garden in front of her before making her way toward it without any hesitation.

Upon her arrival at the entrance, all the lights in the garden were switched on.

"Take 100 steps forward and turn right thereafter. Then, I want you to take another 30 steps forward before making a left turn. You'll see rocks in front of you; once you walk past them, enter the cave and we'll be waiting for you inside."

While she proceeded with his instructions, she asked, "Since I've already arrived, aren't you going to let me talk to him?"

"What? Are you afraid that we would go against our deal?"

Elise chuckled coldly. "You should at least let me know that he's safe and sound, shouldn't you?"

"Don't worry! He's obviously safe." Then, the man passed the phone to Jamie and ordered, "Speak!"

However, Jamie bit her lips and refused to talk, which annoyed the kidnapper so much that he kicked Jamie in the stomach.

Jamie retorted, "You little a*shole! I'll be sure to get my revenge for this!"

However, the man ignored Jamie and spoke to the phone instead, "Did you hear that? He's obviously alive and kicking!"

Upon hearing Jamie's voice, Elise felt relieved.

"According to the deal, I'll give you the money once you hand him over."

"Great! We love dealing with people like you."

Elise started to head into the cave a moment after she hung up. The place was dim since it wasn't as bright as the sun. It took her some time to get accustomed to the dark environment in the cave before she began to observe her surroundings.

Her surroundings suddenly brightened up after she walked for about ten meters.

"Haha! How's this? What do you think about our little game?"
