Bring Your A Game, Mr

Chapter 193

Chapter 193 Should I Find an Opportunity to Tell Alexander the Truth?

It was just a simple sentence, but Elise had the feeling of being valued. She smiled and looked at Alexander before she slowly said, "Thank you for your love. I will not disappoint you."

His throat moved, and surprisingly, he did not hold back from leaning down to kiss her lips. However, it was just a light kiss before he broke away and seductively mentioned, "What should I do? I feel like I want to hide you away."

Her face flushed and she stammered for a long time without forming a complete sentence. "Y-You... Let's go home first."

After saying that, she pushed him away and the two kept a certain distance. Immediately after that, she took a step to walk out. As he gazed at her back, his lips curled upward before he closely followed her. The atmosphere between them had obviously now changed.

Elise lowered her gaze to look at the diamond on her finger and inexplicably felt that her limb now weighed a thousand times heavier. Although the glittering ring was extraordinarily dazzling under the sunlight, it was hard to believe that she would soon be a married woman. Nevertheless, her heart was full of happiness.

"Get in the car, I'll take you back," he spoke.

She agreed and entered the car. Afterward, she stole a glance at Alexander, still feeling that everything wasn't real as if it was a dream. Obviously, a few months ago, they did not even have the slightest interaction with each other. If it weren't for Jonah-

As she thought about this, her eyes suddenly dimmed. Was he good to her also because of Jonah?

The 10th day of the 1st month was the most auspicious day and the day that Alexander and Elise were engaged. She walked out while holding Laura's hand to accept everyone's blessings and the white gown that she wore had accentuated her beauty.

Soon, Laura led her to Alexander before she solemnly handed Elise to him. "Alex, Ellie is a treasure that you must cherish. In the future, you must treat her well and not let her suffer. You two should lead a harmonious life, love each other, and grow old together."

At this moment, Elise's eyes inexplicably reddened as she reached out to hug Laura while saying, "Grandma, I can't bear to let you go."

Laura laughed and patted Elise's back. "Silly girl, what nonsense! Today is a good day for your engagement, so be happy."

Elise released Laura from her embrace before nodding.

It was only then that Laura took a brocade box from her pocket. "This is my engagement gift to you. I hope you can be forever filled with happiness, Ellie."

After taking it, Elise solemnly answered, "Thank you!"

Laura waved a hand. "Go ahead, my dear."

Alexander, who was on the side, also said to her, "Grandma, don't worry. I will treat her well."

"Good, good; as long as you two are happy, we as the elders will also be happy."

As Elise could feel Laura's smile was forced, she spoke, "Grandma, don't worry. We will definitely be happy."

Later, she held his arm and told herself at this moment that she needed to be happy with him in the future. Several brothers of the Griffith Family also sent their blessings to them while Danny approached them and presented them with a gift of an outfit. "Boss, Alex, this is my gift to you both. I hope you have a happy engagement."

"Thank you!" Elise responded before she accepted his gift.

Suddenly, he approached her again and whispered, "Boss, today is such a good day. Do you want to play games together?"

She saw his expectant face and could not refuse him, so she agreed. "I'll play two games with you later."

Upon hearing this, he was delighted. "Yay, thanks, boss!"

When Elise saw him being happy, she shook her head a little helplessly whereas Jack, who was at the side, couldn't help but ask, "Danny, what is making you so happy?"

Danny looked arrogant and replied, "Nothing, I'm just playing games with the boss a little later."

Jack felt that Danny was behaving a little bit strange. It was just Danny and Elise playing a game together, so Jack couldn't understand his excitement. "You're just playing a game, so why are you so excited?" When Danny realized that Jack was still unaware of Elise's identity, he was mysterious as he answered, "If it is a game with ordinary people, that is nothing. It's a different story when that person is my boss."

It was only at that moment when Jack realized that Danny kept addressing Elise as his 'boss'. When did their relationship improve tremendously?

Apart from that, Danny was such an arrogant young master that it was unbelievable that he would actually be so subservient to Elise, which puzzled Jack.

When Danny saw a confused Jack, he added, "You don't know the influence of my boss, so you're confused. If you know the identity of my boss, I guarantee that you will have the same reaction as me."

The corners of Jack's mouth twitched. "You're being weirder by the minute. She's a girl and playing a game for boys. It's already amazing that she can play a game or two well, so how can she be a master at it?"

In the past, Danny certainly wouldn't believe it if someone had said that Elise was a gamemaster, but he had personally witnessed her playing the game as Ellimane. Thus, his admiration for Elise deepened over time. "Why don't you come along and join the fun tonight?" he asked.

Although Jack was initially not interested, his curiosity was aroused when he saw how excited Danny was. "Sure, I'll play with you guys tonight," he said casually without thinking much about it.

Soon, after the engagement party, Elise changed into another attire and handed her gown to Molly, who notified, "Miss Sinclair, I'll send this dress for dry cleaning first and leave it in the design studio to hang up later, according to the boss' wishes. You can come directly to the design studio to pick it up if you need it later."

Elise agreed. "Sure, thank you."

Then, Molly solemnly said, "Miss Sinclair, I should be the one to thank you; if it weren't for your guidance, I think I wouldn't dare to show my work to everyone even until now. You not only corrected my problematic areas, but also gave me direction, so I should be the one to thank you."

"Your design has a lot of potential, so do your best," Elise encouraged.

Her words made Molly more confident. "I understand, Miss Sinclair. I will continue to work hard."

After Molly left, Elise sighed with relief. The engagement party was finally over wherein she and Alexander were officially engaged. Thus, she raised her eyes and looked at her usual plain face in the mirror. Should I find an opportunity to tell Alexander the truth?
