Chapter 7
Day 43:
I had an un-expected visitor today. Hiyyeth. It was a strange thing to see him when I was just thinking of him. I didn’t much like it. Oh well I guess.
“Hello Angile. Nice to see you again. I loved your warning of you leaving,” those were his first words to me.
“If you would like to hear the word sorry, go somewhere else.”
“I don’t.”
“Then why are you here?”
“There are other words I want to hear.”
“Go away?”
“No.”
“Go to Hell?”
“No.”
“Go screw yourself?”
“No.”
“Then what do you want?”
Hiyyeth laughed. Then he walked into my little place. I sighed and let him. I couldn’t very well stop him. Besides, I didn’t really mind too much. Seeing him made me feel funny inside, like something new waking up.
I was really not happy about that.
“Come on, let’s spend some time together,” Hiyyeth said.
“Doing what?” I asked.
“Whatever we want,” he replied. He took my arm and dragged me along.
It had been hours when we got back. We went to the mall and did lots of shopping. I normally wasn’t a big shopper, but I had a lot of fun. He even gave his opinions on a bunch of the outfits I tried on and sat through every store patiently.
After the mall we went to a local movie store. We bought tons of movies. We decided that tomorrow we’d watch them all and have a movie marathon day. I was excited.
Day 44:
Our movie day went great. We started out with “Peeping Tom” and finally ended with “The Ring Two.” We watched 6 movies total. We ate popcorn all day and just talked if the movies started to bore us, or if we were in between movies. Tomorrow we decided to go to the local bookstore and buy some new novels. It was going to be amazing.
Day 45:
The local bookstore wasn’t too big of a place. An elegant little affair with a small coffee store. We spent the day in the store shopping, reading, and drinking coffee. We again did quite a bit of talking. I told him all about the thing that happened between Oivhure and I. I told him the real story behind Crennik, too. I think he believed me.
Day 46:
Today was not a good day. Oh, it started out well enough. Then it went bad. I couldn’t believe what happened.
I was sitting in my room, reading a book, when there was a knock at my door.
“I’ll get it!“Hiyyeth yelled from the other room where he was watching tv.
I heard the door opened, then I heard a familiar voice. One that angered me greatly.
“Hello Hiyyeth, may I please see my love?”
“Go away Oivhure, she doesn’t want to see you.”
“She loves me.”
“She loved who she thought you were, but now that she knows you’re not really that person, she doesn’t want you.”
“And I suppose you think she wants you.”
“I never said that.”
“Don’t even think it.”
“I wasn’t.”
“Good. She hates you, you know.”
“That’s why she’s letting me live here and has fun with me every day,” there was a note of sarcasm in his voice.
“She’s pretending. She just wants you to go away. She told me what she was doing to you. She told me everything she hated about you,” the venom in his voice was definitely audible.
The door slammed on Oivhure’s face. I was glad. Less than a minute later Hiyyeth came into my room.
“I would ask who was at the door, but I already know,” I told him. His smile was bitter.
“I know what he said about you telling him what you hated about me was true.
I nodded. There was really know point in lying. Suddenly, I felt an emotion our kind never feels. Fatigue. I was tired. I closed my eyes, and pretended my body knew how to sleep. Hiyyeth left the room. Twenty minutes later, he left the house.
Day 47:
I spent the day alone. I didn’t do anything. There was nothing to do. I tried to sleep, but how is someone who is not made for sleeping supposed to sleep? I’ve never done it before.
Day 49:
I grow more and more tired as the days go on. I have never felt so horrible in my life. I miss Hiyyeth. I wonder when he is going to come back. He hasn’t so far, and I have been home waiting for him to come back. All of his stuff is still here. He’ll come back. There is no reason for him not to. We didn’t get into a fight or anything absurd like that. We have done nothing but get along. This is all very upsetting. Maybe my next chapter, or you could call it week, will be better
