Chapter 12
Day 22:
We are now going on a surprise trip to France for my mother’s birthday. It should be quite fun. We are staying with my Aunt Brelloppe and my uncle Kaezist. They are very sweet, but a little uptight. My uncle is anyway, but my aunt is not. My aunt is actually really laid back and kind of cool. I still can’t believe she married uncle Kaezist. I guess she is sort of eccentric. The trip didn’t take too long. There will be more tomorrow.
Day 23:
There really isn’t more. Except for one thing. I had a vision of Angile reading a letter. A letter from Oivhure. It was a short letter.
Dear Angile,
I am writing to tell you more about France. It’s a lovely place. I wish you were here with me. I made sure this letter got there right away. As you can tell. I know a brawlii with teleportation. He’s a wonderful man, I will have to introduce you two. I miss you very much already. I’ll see you soon.
All my love,
Crennik
I was not very happy with this. Not at all. I decided to confront him tomorrow.
Day 24:
I had another vision before I even got the chance to confront Oivhure. He was going to write another letter. So much for not thinking about Angile while we are staring up at the eiffel tower. This letter happened to be that much worse. He made Angile feel very bad in this letter.
Dear Angile,
I hope you are not missing me too much. I can just imagine you spending your days laying around thinking of me, wishing I was back with you. I know that I have left you with nothing to do but wait for me. We will see each other soon, and then I promise you will not have to sit around doing nothing all day. We will have so much fun when I get back. I miss you.
All my love,
Crennik
Day 27:
I finally had time to confront my brother.
“What do you want Veqivette?” he asked when I entered his room.
“I would like to speak to you.”
“I don’t want to hear what you have to say.” I was exasperated.
“I wont tell you, I’ll show you,” I told him calmly and walked over to him. I grabbed his arm before he could protest. I honestly didn’t want to hear it.
So I showed him. I showed him his letters, I showed them how bad they made Angile feel. I showed them how happy she was with Hiyyeth. Then he started getting angry. Then I showed him Angile and Hiyyeth’s future kiss. That’s what made him angry enough to pull away. He yelled at me to get me away. That was it. I was going to talk to our parents and even our aunt and uncle. They would help get this behind us.
Day 28:
We were leaving soon. I called my family (with the exception of Oivhure) into the dining room. I quickly explained to them what was going on, and my deep concerns. It was wrong what he was doing to Angile, and to himself. He was going to hurt many people. If he would just leave her alone she might even realize that she was really destined to be with Hiyyeth. I could even see their wedding. I showed all of the adults how happy she could be with Hiyyeth.
“Well dear, we really can’t do much,” mother said.
“What do you mean we can’t do anythying? How absurd!” I stomped my foot.
“You’re mother is right dear,” Aunt Brellope said.
“No, she is not,” said father, “we must put a stop to this. What Oivhure is doing is undeniably wrong. It is essential to the well-being of even a complete stranger that we keep Oivhure away from her. Not that her life isn’t already ruined, but we do not want to take even more responsibility for making her life that the much harder. Anyone with eyes can see she would be much better off with that Hiyyeth fellow.”
“You’re such a romantic,” my mother said.
“A romantic indeed,” Oivhure said as he walked into the room.
“Oivhure, please re-consider what you are doing,” I told him calmly.
“No, I love Angile. She will be mine. You will not interfere. It’s not my fault I am a reincarnation.”
“But you are not a reincarnation! You are our son!” father boomed.
Oivhure walked out and father followed. It was going to be a long flight this time.
