Blood Soaked Rose ( Rose Series 4 )

Chapter Chapter Seventeen - Epilogue

When you have so much to do in life time flies by and a whole year had flown by from when I had escaped Hayden’s clutches.

Our newest addition Melissa was the noisiest baby I had ever known, compared to Cody. Cody had been so quiet and now Melissa screamed the house down all the time. The only person she stopped for was me, she would constantly cry for me, so I ended up doing everything with her strapped to my chest.

Cody would get jealous sometimes and throw a tantrum just to get attention and I tried to do my best to give him just as much attention, but it wasn’t always easy.

He ended up in Jayden and I’s bed most night claiming he had nightmares, but I knew it was just to get close to me as Jayden tried to deal with Melissa each night.

Jayden had really become the father they both needed, he treated them like his own and loved them dearly.

Luka completely took over The Midnight Rose for me as I went through this pregnancy, it wasn’t an easy one. I had struggled and ended up in hospital several times on a drip. We’d all been scared that I would lose the baby, but we kept going and was so happy when she finally arrived.

I had no plans to go back to mafia life, I was focused on family and the school. After talking to Henderson we thought it would be best if I took a backseat for a while to get my head back to normal and he was right. I was enjoying running the school, the kids were great.

We were pushing more and more that kids avoid this kind of life, trying to give them the skills to live a normal and happy life. Most seemed to take it on board, but some horrors were too deeply engrained in some as when the graduated they went straight back to the gangs they used to know. But we could rest easy knowing we did our best and gave them the skills they needed.

Taylor and Damien had adopted a sweet little boy called Tommy who became best friends with Cody almost immediately, you could barely separate them when they were together. They became an amazing family unit themselves as they bought a small cabin nearby to live in.

Luka, Savannah, and Louisa decided to stay at the house as Luka was always so busy with the Midnight Rose and Savannah and I were always keeping each other company, she was my best friend…Apart from Taylor.

James and Rob were still single, but they seemed to enjoy it, dating plenty of pretty women as they spent time in bars and clubs. James seemed to enjoy being uncle more than anything and took the role seriously, he loved the kids.

Tammy and Wayne had their hands full with Rosie the dog and Layla who was becoming a stroppy teenager, I tried to keep an eye on her as she wandered the halls at school, but she seemed to take after me in boarding school, always causing trouble. But most of the time she listened to me as I told her off for her behaviour, she wanted to be strong like me. She was just going the wrong way about it, so I helped her, she started to get better, but she was still a little rebellious, I mean…what teen isn’t?

Shaun, Elise, and Samuel were doing great too. Shaun had really taken to teaching while in his wheelchair, he loved racing about in it and never let it get him down, he embraced everything. Including helping me get back to peak physical strength, teasing me that I wasn’t quick enough, even though I was running next to him in his chair.

Every day I remembered those we had lost, and each year we had a campfire to put in a message to our loved ones as we once did on the beach, it became tradition that spread throughout the campus too.

Tobias, Rueben, and the biker club all kept themselves busy in the school as they travelled far and wide to collect kids that were in trouble to bring them to us.

Grandpa retired finally while Lindsey decided she wanted a couple more years as a nurse before she would leave the hospital. She said she could never give up her job so after she would become a part time nurse for the school which we agreed to, the kids loved her. Grandpa and her, spent so much time at the school as kids treated them with so much respect, it was heart-warming.

Life was looking up and I was happy.

“Sam you ready? Wow” Taylor smiles at me brightly as he looks over my body.

“I feel sick” I murmur as I look down at the beautiful wedding dress I was wearing, the bodice was corseted with white lace covering it down to the fishtail bottom which dragged over the ground.

“You look beautiful girl, Jayden’s going to explode” Taylor winks as I giggle.

“That’s the last thing I need right now, I’m still recovering from the last baby” I laugh.

“Oh you know you’ll have another with him” Taylor smirks.

“I’m pretty sure he wants to work on it tonight” I laugh nervously.

“You’ll end up with an army” Taylor laughs.

“And we’ll love every one of them” I smile.

“Time to take to the aisle sweetheart” Grandpa walks in as I wolf whistle, he looks handsome in his suit.

“Daaaaammmnnn Grandpa” I smile as he takes my arm.

“See you up there Sammy” Taylor winks as he takes Layla and Cody up the aisle before us, my hand shakes with my rose bouquet.

“Deep breathes, this is the man you love whole heartedly, forget everyone else, just you and Jayden” Grandpa squeezes my hand.

“Thank you Grandpa, for everything. I love you” I smile as he hugs me tight before we walk to the door.

“I love you too, now let’s get you hitched” He smiles as the doors open to show me the aisle as everyone stands either side. I hear a few gasps as we walk past them, but my eyes are on him, he hasn’t looked up yet as Cody is tugging on his leg excitedly as I giggle.

“That kid” I sigh happily as Grandpa chuckles.

“MUMMY!” Cody turns and sees me as the crowd laughs. Jayden finally looks up and all I see is adoration in his eyes as he looks at me, I smile brightly.

“You look beautiful” Jayden murmurs as he takes my hands from Grandpa.

“Not too bad yourself handsome” I wink.

I take a quick look around me at my friends, my family and wonder just how we got to this point. Today I was marrying the man who fell for me after all the torment and trouble I had been through. He had been there through thick and thin. He was my world and became the father my children needed.

“Ladies and gentlemen we come here today to unite two young lovers in holy matrimony, Samantha Louisa Jones and Jayden Christopher Bennet. We’ll start with Jayden, please repeat after me” He says as he says the lines for him to repeat.

“I Jayden Christopher Bennet promise to give you the best of myself, to trust and respect you, to share with you my time and attention and to bring joy, strength and imagination to the relationship we have. I will love you for all eternity.” Jayden says as he looks into my eyes.

“I’m bored” Cody whispers to Taylor as we all laugh.

“Shh baby boy, be done soon” I whisper as he huffs.

“Sorry” I blush.

“No problem, now Samantha, repeat after me” The priest smiles brightly.

“I Samantha Louisa Jones promise to give you the best of myself, to trust and respect you, to share with you my time and attention and to bring joy, strength and imagination to the relationship we have. I will love you for all eternity” I grin as he squeezes my hand as a tear escapes my eyes.

“So, unless anyone has hearsay as to why these people cannot be wed…” He says pausing as I hear Cody huff again as I raise a brow at him with a smirk, a finger to my lips as the others chuckle.

“Troublemaker like his mother” I hear Grandpa murmur as I giggle.

“Then it is my power to declare you both husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride” He smiles as the crowd cheers.

“Oh I will” Jayden smirks as he takes my lips passionately.

“YUCK!” Cody gags.

“Cody!” Taylor laughs chucking him over his shoulder as he giggles.

“That kid becomes more and more like you each day” I giggle to Jayden.

“Funny, smart and witty?” Jayden smiles as people take photos.

“A complete pain in my ass” I wink before he acts shocked and sweeps me off my feet with a chuckle.

“You just married me, regretting it already?” He smiles.

“Never” I grin as he kisses me.

The crowd cheer as Jayden carries me away as we all head to the school for the reception.

“I love you Mr Bennet” I smile.

“I love you too Mrs Bennet” He twirls me and kisses me passionately once more.

This was one of the best days in my life and I couldn’t wait for our future. One together forever with our kids, working at the school and keeping all the kids safe in this crazy world as the legacy of The Midnight Rose travelled far and wide. Spreading strength, love, and family bonds as a way to live in this harsh world.

Family, we may not have it all together, but together we would have it all. With a little strength and love we could have anything we wanted.
