Blood on the Moon

Chapter 67: Forever

Rose

We were in my bedroom in no time, the white button comforter already on the floor as we lie naked on the sheets, tangled up in each other, his thigh between my legs as he kisses me passionately, holding the side of my face.

“Remember when?”

He doesn’t even have to specify the moment for me to know exactly what he’s talking about.

The time in the cabin where we had our first moment of intimacy. Where I sat on his lap and glided myself along his leg. The time when we were still holding back from each other, hearts longing but minds not ready.

“How could I forget?” I ask as he presses his leg against my clit, and I moan gently.

“I’ll never forget how you sounded,” he replies with a buttery voice. “I think about it all the time.”

I smile, and he kisses my smile. “Feels like a lifetime ago, yet still vivid in my memory. Probably because I think about it a lot, too.”

“I’d hope so,” he replies. “You look incredible tonight, baby.”

“I’m naked,” I giggle.

“I know, that’s the point.”

I laugh, nipping his bottom lip gently as I hold his face. “You look great, too, my love.”

He lets his hand travel down my side and between my legs, his lips still attached to mine as he slips his finger into my dripping core.

I moan, gripping his hair tightly as I widen my legs. He continues pumping in and out of my gently, circling his thumb around my clit with a caring tenderness only a true lover has.

“I love you so much, Asher,” I breathe into his mouth as he mounts me, neither of us able to wait any longer. We’ve been aching to mark each other for so long, first, stopped by circumstance and danger. Then, by responsibility to our leadership duties. We put ourselves to the side to prioritize what we needed to do.

It’s our time now—our time to be happy. We’ve earned it. We’ve earned a lifetime of peace.

He slides into me, his lips glued to mine as I wrap my legs around his torso. He pumps into me gently, stroking long and deep. I tilt my head back as he kisses my neck where my mark will be.

He runs his fingers up my arms to my wrists, then pins them above my head gently, holding them there, his other hand running up and down my side. My skin tingles with pleasure with every movement he makes, drunk on his love, high on his body.

“Asher,” I moan, my core aching for his cock. “Please!”

He moves his hips faster, pushing into me with more force, little grunts escaping his lips as he holds onto my wrists tightly.

“When you’re close, I’ll mark you,” he tells me.

I nod, relaxing into his touch as I close my eyes, taking long, deep, almost meditative breaths. I’ve never felt so in tune with my body, completely connected to myself and him on a soul level. I never knew sex could be so profound, yet here we are. My mind serene, focused only on the present.

He lets go of my arms, and I wrap them around him, holding his chest close to me as he buries his face in the crook of my neck. I dig my nails into his back, feeling the slight flexing of his muscles as he pumps into me, little grunts vibrating my neck with every movement. His skin is warm as I hug him close, kissing his shoulder and teasing his neck with my fangs.

I lick up the skin before leaving a trail of kisses, letting the breaths from my moans tickle the skin as I whine with pleasure.

He strokes my thigh lovingly, his other hand under my head, cradling it like the most precious object on earth. Priceless.

“I’m close, baby,” I tell him, the slow rise of an orgasm building in me, but in a much calmer, less aggressive way than usual. It’s almost like a slow-rising tide, a little at a time, the body slowly being covered in the warm, trickling water. It’s gentler like being set down on a cloud rather than being thrust into the cosmos. Both are incredible, but this is vastly more romantic.

He sinks his canines into my skin, and I lose my breath, my back arching as my eyes roll into the back of my head.

“Asher!” I cry as an ecstasy I’ve never known floods my body, my orgasm spilling out of me as my muscles contract and relax multiple times, my climaxes flooding into me wave after wave. As he pulls away, I can feel myself becoming entwined with him, both body and spirit.

That’s when I sink my fangs into him, taking a short sip of his luxurious blood. It tastes like a fine red wine, full-bodied with hints of vanilla. It takes everything in me to stop myself from taking another drink; the texture and taste are so divine. But I stop myself, pushing all but a drop of my pleasure venom into his bloodstream. I feel a part of me slip out of my heart and into him through my fangs. He’s a part of me now, and I of him. The seal has been created, and it is unbreakable.

He moans, pulling out of me quickly as he explodes onto my stomach, pressing his head onto my chest as he catches his breath, his hair a little damp with sweat as we both come down from our highs.

“Wow,” is all he whispers, the word hanging in the air.

I answer, “Wow.”

“I’ve never felt anything like that before,” he replies. “My skin is still buzzing.”

“The venom will last a while,” I tell him, stroking his hair gently as he settles into my embrace. “But, yes, I’ve never experienced anything like that. Our souls literally swapped. I have heard stories of people mating, but I always thought it was exaggerated. Now I know otherwise.”

“I felt the same way,” he replies. “Especially since… Well, you know. But this was totally different. I feel like a new person. A better person.”

“That’s because you’ve got a bit of me in you now,” I reply with a wink as he laughs, grabbing a tissue off the bedside table and wiping his cum off me.

“Sorry about this, by the way,” he says. “Forgot to put a condom on.”

“Let’s hope your pull-out game is strong. I’m tired of using them, anyway. They’re too small for you.”

He blushes, his dimples cutting into his red cheeks as I kiss them. He tosses the tissue into the trash and returns to cuddling with me.

“Everything feels perfect,” he says.

“It does.”

“I hope you know I’ll cherish you forever. Even if my forever is shorter than yours, I don’t care.”

“Your forever won’t be shorter than mine,” I tell him. “If you die, I’ll die. I can bite you and make you immortal one day. I couldn’t bear living an eternity without you.”

“Nor I without you.”

“Shall we open a bottle and toast to something, then?” I ask, sitting up and taking the sheets with me.

“Toast to what?”

“To forever?”

He smiles, his eyes wrinkled with it, nodding slowly, his eyes transfixed on my form clad only in the sheets. He sees me as a Goddess, and I see him as a God now. More reverent and divine than real deities. At least to each other.

But shouldn’t that be how every lover’s eyes see their muse?

“To forever.”
