Chapter Chapter Thirty-Seven
It's you...
A shadow stood in the doorway of the second room, hidden by shadows. The tall figure could only belong to one person. "Why are you ripping apart my office?" It was him, disguised as a stranger.
"I really need to talk to you." My hand was still on the next curtain, not afraid to keep ripping them all down. If he didn't want to stop playing games, then I wouldn't stop either.
"I'm quite busy." His eyebrow raised. His curiosity got the better of him. "But I have a few minutes till my next appointment." He moved to the side, showcasing the dark room behind him as an invitation.
I gulped. If Dee or anyone else knew I had done this, they would've never let me go willingly with R.
"Now, what can I do for you." R walked slowly behind me.
The room lit back up once he had shut the door. A normal looking office was laid out nicely, which surprised me.
R, please...
I begged. My mouth was still. I was hoping that R would talk back. That once I felt that hum through my body, I would feel like everything was back to normal again.
Silence ran through my head, "R, please." I took a step closer.
What will it take?
"R? I haven't been called that yet." R laughed it off. He was serious. "So, is there something you need?"
I choked on my words, "Do you not remember me?" I nearly threw myself on him, "Bite me and see."
He hesitated when I pulled at my shirt to offer up my neck to him. The face of disgust had wounded me more than anything we had ever been through. Frantically, I reached for a envelope opener on the desk and put it up to my neck.
"But you have to remember!?" I screamed. I plunged the opener into my collarbone. I felt the warm liquid cascade down the front of me.
R's eyes filled in completely as he watched me mutilate myself for him. I know he couldn't resist, I just hoped that he would be able to stop. The minute R's fangs touched my skin, my body burned with fire for him. I knew he remembered me. His hands reached around me and held me in place as he plunged into my collarbone. I let my hands run through his hair as he drank greedily from me.
You betrayed me.
R's voice stung me like a bee. It startled me. I pulled back my hands from a loving touch to putting space between us. "What are you doing?" I panicked. I had never felt pain with R's bite before.
You were mine.
The second time caused an ache in my bones. I cried out. "Stop! You're hurting me!" R tightened his jaws around my skin. His hands released me, moving elsewhere. "I didn't betray you!"
Liar. You marked him.
R pulled at my shirt, tearing it from my body as I stood attached to him. "You betrayed us! We've been waiting for you." I cried out as his bite fueled more pain. R had begin to rip more bits of clothing from me.
You had a baby with him. I was betrayed.
His voice seethed in my head. It shot waves of pain down my spine as he repeated those words over. "I never slept with Dee." I cried out. I was on the verge of passing out. "The baby is yours." I was able to get out one more sentence before the pain was too much.
R really believed that we had all betrayed him. That I had betrayed him, worst of all. That I had chosen Dee and in turn, had a child with. It made sense, he had gotten to town and the first thing he saw was Dee's arm around me. I felt terrible. In some strange sense, I did feel like we had betrayed him. We had never gone out and searched for him.
"Christi, are you awake?" Yun's voice had slowly woken me up. "Leon's butt is red. I don't know what to do!" His voice was frantic. I blinked my eyes a few times to try to get aware of my surroundings.
"Where is everyone else?" I groaned. The pain in neck was immense. I felt like I had been hit by a truck. "My head is killing me." I rolled over on the side of my bed and pulled open the drawer and fumbled around for the butt paste. "Here." I held it up for Yun, "Can you rub this on his butt with a fresh diaper?" Yun took the tube and disappeared. I would've gone back to sleep if it weren't for the shouting. I sat up, groggy, trying to listen to what was going on.
Then, it hit me. I had gone to talk to R and we had a fight. He believed that I slept with Dee. I shot up, out of bed and ran downstairs.
It was a battleground. Lee sat at the bottom step of the stairs. "What is going on?" I shouted. Lee looked back at me and pointed.
Martin had been the referee and tried breaking up R and Dee. He was failing miserably. The house was a mess, they had broken most if not all of the furniture. More importantly, they were killing each other.
"Stooop!!" I screamed. Everyone's full attention was on me.
