Blindsided: Book 2 of the Bound Trilogy

Chapter Epilogue

~Jack’s POV~

All of our leads have dried up.

After the Hunters tried to attack Emily’s pack and were wiped out, the ones who were in charge of the goings on realized that Cameron was part of the reason.

They put a hit out on him and he’s gone into hiding so he is no longer able to help us with our quest to find my mate.

It’s been over a month since she was taken. Christmas and New Year’s has come and gone without any one of us noticing. We were all too intent on finding the missing piece of our family. Our dark haired, golden eyed, beauty.

Even Leah hasn’t been able to track where Emily is being held. Where they are keeping her is either too far away, or they have her drugged, therefore she’s untraceable with Leah’s particular gifts.

The only thing that’s kept me going is the fact that every facility that we come across is one less out there where weres and humans are being tortured for some kind of perverse experimentation.

So far we’ve closed down three facilities in the last month and not one of them had any record of Emily or anyone with her description. But we were getting closer. I could feel it. I just had to keep looking.

That was the hard part of police work. All the paperwork that we had to wade through from the warehouses we raided. Combing through every piece of garbage, every sticky note, every file in every computer. But I wasn’t going to leave any stone unturned until I found my love.

She was out there with our daughter and I was going to get them back.

Come Hell or high water. I was going to get them back.

“Jack...” Devin murmured from the computer he was working on.

“Yeah,” I said absently, while looking through yet another file.

“You might want to come take a look at this.”

I put the file down and slowly made my way to Devin’s side. He may be my Alpha but this was my case. I was the boss until Emily was found.

“What have you got?”

He leaned back and pointed at the screen in front of him. “Take a look. This may be what we’ve been looking for.”

Reading what was on the screen, my blood ran cold before I saw red. Before I could take the computer and throw it through the window behind me, I reigned in my temper and said, “Get everyone together. We leave immediately.”
