Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Just as Vanessa walked out of the bathroom and was about to wash her hands, she saw two women at the sink washing their hands. Both of them wore fancy gowns.
Vanessa paid little attention to them. After all, everyone present that evening was dressed formally and grandly.
Heading for an empty sink, she reached over to wash her hands.
However, a sarcastic voice rang out next to her. “Didn’t you say you cared nothing about being rich and famous? Then why are you trying to push your way into the upper class?”
Only then did Vanessa realize that it was Elena standing next to her.
She didn’t pay any attention to Elena and washed her hands.
“Vanessa, don’t think I get no idea what you’re thinking. Do you think you can get back in touch with Jackson through others? Let me tell you. He’s never going to like you again.” Elena hated Vanessa’s calm face the most.
She would fail to control her frantic emotions every time she saw Vanessa like this.
Vanessa drew a paper towel to wipe her hands after cleaning. She then looked at Elena indifferently and said, “Don’t think of others as nasty just because you are that kind of person. You can rest assured. I won’t have any dealings with Jackson for the rest of my life. By the way, I came to Lantrie City first. If you think that a chance meeting is a deliberate act, you can leave the city. After all, as long as you are in Lantrie City, we will meet again in the future.”
“You! What in the world would it take for you to leave Lantrie City?” Elena exploded with anger at Vanessa’s flippant look.
A girl in a gown next to them was washing her hands while quietly looking their way.
Vanessa indifferently looked at Elena. “I’ll live wherever I like, and without incident, I’ll be living in Lantrie City for the rest of my life…”
Suddenly, the phone on the small shelf in front of the sink vibrated. The text message was clear to be seen as the screen lit up. [Let me know immediately when Vanessa comes out. I’ll take action.]
Vanessa’s eyes narrowed when she saw the words, and she quickly reached for the phone.
Panicked, Elena swiftly grabbed the phone.
However, Vanessa already had the phone in her hand before Elena did.
Thinking that Vanessa did not have the PIN and could not open it, Elena breathed a sigh of relief and said with contempt, “Vanessa, has no one taught you manners? This is my phone, okay? You…”
Her face suddenly changed because Vanessa entered the password and opened her phone.
The password was Jackson’s birthday.
“Vanessa, you bitch, I knew you didn’t forget about Jackson!” Elena got hysterical at the thought of Vanessa still remembering Jackson’s birthday. She completely forgot that she was the one who was in the wrong and disadvantaged.
Vanessa flipped through the text messages with a dark face.
Elena instructed the other party not to miss the opportunity like last time and to make sure to run Vanessa over and kill her for good.
Vanessa thought, “Last time? So the car accident that day was not an accident, but Elena’s plan? No wonder! How could anyone else drive so fast at a crosswalk?”
Originally, she thought the driver was nervous and mistook the gas pedal for the brake.
Little did she know that it would be a murder plan against her.
Vanessa thought, “It’s not easy for Elena to think of such a plan for an ordinary person like me.”
Elena was flustered when she saw Vanessa flipping through the text messages. She quickly grabbed the phone and tried to explain, “I didn’t do anything.”
Vanessa fixed her cold eyes on Elena. “Elena, I have warned you. After saying that, she turned around and left.
Seeing that Vanessa had left, Elena instantly let out a sigh of relief. She even felt her back sweat a little.
Immediately afterward, she rolled her eyes and comforted herself, saying inwardly, “What the hell is Vanessa? Why do I have to be afraid of her?
“Even if Vanessa knows, so what? Does she have proof? With Vanessa’s status, who can she talk to? It’s useless even to call the police!

“Besides, this is just a spare phone for me. Everything will be fine as long as I flush the card down the toilet and throw the phone away. Even if Vanessa calls the police, there is no evidence.”
Elena felt much more at ease with this thought.
As soon as Vanessa got out of the washroom, she called her best friend, Charlotte Nicholson, but there was no answer. She knew that Charlotte was probably busy and would call her back when she was done.
Back then, she was in the same class as Charlotte and Elena. She was on good terms with Charlotte as well as with Elena, though she found it a little difficult to put up with Elena’s personality.
Charlotte did not like Elena because she felt that Elena was always like a spoiled princess.
At that time, Vanessa persuaded Charlotte, saying that Elena’s family was well–off and it was nothing strange for her to behave like a spoiled princess.
When they were about to graduate, Elena flipped out on Vanessa and quickly got together with Jackson afterward. Only then did Vanessa realize that Charlotte’s judgment was better than hers and that she was too blind.
“Are you done?” William asked her as he stood not far away.
Vanessa carried her skirt and trotted over when she saw William. “Have you been waiting for me?”
“Yeah. Don’t run. Be careful not to hurt your foot.” William strode over in a few steps, reaching out to take Vanessa’s hand. and supporting her.
“Well.” Vanessa looked at William and smiled.
The more she went through all kinds of calculations, the more she realized that William was really good to her.
He kept giving to her.
The two returned to the main banquet hall. Tracy walked over gracefully with a red wine glass.
As soon as William saw Tracy approaching, he took Vanessa by the hand and was ready to leave.
Tracy took the lead and called out to him, “William, don’t you intend to introduce me?”
William indifferently introduced, “This is my wife, Vanessa. Nessa, this is Tracy, the daughter of the Yost family.”
“Nice to meet you,” Vanessa greeted Tracy graciously.
“Nice to meet you too.” Tracy almost couldn’t keep the smile on her face.
William’s cold and distant words of “the daughter of the Yost family” hurt her.
William ignored Tracy and was going to lead Vanessa to another place.
Tracy immediately said, “William, let me toast you guys. May you guys be happy together.” However, she cursed inwardly. “May you divorce immediately.”
She took the initiative to clink her glass with William’s.
During this short process, she flicked her finger and dropped a pill into William’s glass.
William originally did not intend to drink When he heard Tracy’s words of best wishes, he said. “Thank you, we will be happy. He then called out to Vanessa, “Honey.”
“Thank you, Ms. Yost.” Vanessa also gently clinked her glass with Tracy’s and then drank with William.
Seeing William drink the wine, Tracy got inwardly excited, and her heart beat slightly faster.
She spoke to William again, asking, “William, when are you guys planning to have your wedding?”
This was the last topic she wanted to mention, but now she had to stall for time.
“It will be held as soon as possible, and invitations will be sent to you at that time, Ms. Yost.” William’s tone was somewhat
distant..
Tracy gritted her teeth in anger.
They had been together for six years. They were so sweet back then. But now he was calling her Ms. Yost.
“Hi, Will, so there you are.” Suddenly, a strange voice rang out.
Following the voice, they saw a blond, blue–eyed, well–suited foreigner walking over with a smile on his face. He was holding a glass of red wine.
Tracy’s eyes suddenly lit up. He was a wealthy foreign businessman.
Tracy said deep down, “For someone like Vanessa, though she wears the gown and appears like an elegant lady from a wealthy family, so what? Can she handle such a situation?”
