Chapter 10 See Travis Again
After that day, Aleena was locked up by Spencer.
They had signed the divorce agreement, but that man still refused to let go of her.
Aleena planned to leave when she was able to get out of bed.
She had completely lost confidence on Spencer, and now she just wanted to escape this terrible man as soon as possible.
However Spencer guarded strict to her. And she had no way to escape.
When she anxious, an acquaintance came to her.
It was the middle of the night, and she was ready to go to bed. Suddenly the door of the ward was pushed open. She looked back doubtfully, and her eyes widened with surprise. "Sister...What are you doing here?"
She was Daphne Gardner, the stepsister of Aleena. After her father passed away, her mother got remarried, and her stepfather brought a daughter who was two years older than Aleena, namely her elder sister.
"I heard you are in hospital and I come to see you." Daphne closed the door gently and put down the fruit basket in her hand.
Aleen hurried to get out of bed to pour water.
Her relationship with Daphne was not bad. They treated each other with respect and never had a quarrel. She suddenly came, which confused Aleena.
"Aleena, actually I come here to ask Travis' whereabouts." Daphne said, "I haven't heard from him for more than a month. I really don't know what happened to him. I'm worried about him. You are close to Travis, can you tell me what happen to him?"
Aleena froze and said with her eyelashes hanging down, "I......I don't know."
She never saw Travis again after he was beaten and taken away that day.
Daphne frowned with worry and said, "I haven't seen him for a month. Is there any problem? Is he having some difficulty? No, I must go to find him now."
She said, and got up.
Aleena called her, "Sister, I will go with you. But I am in a situation that I can't leave this room. Can you help me get the two men at the door away?" With no one else to turn to, she had to ask her sister for help.
"Do you still have a bad relationship with Spencer?" Daphne signed and then agreed to help, "Wait here, and I'll help you when I get out."
"Ok, thank you, Sister."Aleena thanked her sincerely.
Daphne smiled and left the ward. After closing the ward door, she showed a dark and malicious face.
In the corner of the corridor, Rosalie was looking at her quietly.
Daphne turned her head and looked at her with a smile of success.
After Aleena waited for more than half an hour, the ward door was pushed open by Daphne. She waved to Aleena carefully and anxiously, "Go quickly, I have taken care of it."
With her help, Aleena smoothly left the hospital and lived in Daphne's home. They joined hands to find the whereabouts of Travis.
Aleena searched every place she could think of, but she got nothing.
At a loss, Daphne had news - it was said that Travis was in a civilian house in the suburbs.
Aleena set out immediately for the house.
Travis was really there. She had not seen him for a month and now found that he lost too much weight and his right leg was lame.
Aleena's eyes got wet. She said in guilty, "I'm sorry......I made you disabled."
Travis said, "No."
He took the cold hand of Aleena nervously and said softly, "My right leg is lame because I don't take care of myself. It's none of your business. These days I have been in recuperation and failed to find you. Aleena, are you all right?"
Aleena subconsciously caressed her lower abdomen and said with a bleak face, "My child is gone. But... I am now divorced with Spencer and he has nothing to do with me anymore."
Travis's eyes brightened and he clenched her hand. "Are you going to leave with me? I'll arrange a steamer right away. Aleena, I will be good to you all my life."☐☐☐☐☐
