Chapter epilogue (Marla)
"Ellis, can you grab Julietta and get her dressed please. we need to leave soon." I yell as I make my way out of the bathroom and into my closet.
"Sure mom" Ellish shouts back from the other room.
"Marla... will you chill babe" Nicole comes into the closet and grabs my arms. "it's your special day... no ruining the make-up I just did." she adds sternly.
I take a deep breath.
"it's just a big deal you know... it's my wedding day... blessing day... whatever you want to call it... it's a big day."
I can't contain my anxiety. my nerves are shot to bits.
"I know it's a big deal babe... but you gotta chill."
Nicole is the picture of calm.
"Look momma" Julietta stands in the doorway with Ellis looking beautiful in her pale blue princess dress.
she turned three last week and is the spitting image of me, there is no telling who her daddy was just by looks.
we decided to get her tested because if anything was to ever happen medically the father may be able to help.
Shane was so convinced he was her father, it made me hope and pray he was. but for some reason his swimmers never made it to the finish, he blames the chemo he had, but doctors have assured him he can still father a baby.
little does Shane know that I have a surprise for him later, with the help of the other men in my life.
sneaky little fuckers!
"You look like a little princess baby" I tell her squatting down so we are level.
now I'm up close you can see parts of Brea in her face. he was over the moon when we found out. even Nora was excited, and she only gets to come visit once a month.
"let's get your dress on babe" Nicole says leading me back to the closet.
"I'll take Jules's downstairs and make sure all the others are ready" Eilis says as he leads Julietta, his little Jules out of the room.
the ceremony is taking place at the shack. we have converted it for the day into a beautiful wedding style like room, soft white drapes hang from the ceiling that will blow softly in the wind. lots and lots of white and pink lilies spread out around the room, plus candles of every shade of blue have been placed on tables.
"And breathe" I say to myself taking in a huge lungful of air.
"Those boys would wait a million years for you" Nicole smirks as I open one eye to look at her.
a tear leaks from my eye. "I love them with all that I am Nicole."
she smiles softly at me. "Well, Durr... have you seen them."
she tries to be serious, but we end up laughing anyway.
"Thanks for always being you" I say pulling her into my arms.
"I wouldn't be anywhere else" she sighs before pulling back to look at me.
Eric meets me at the bottom of the stairs. "it's not too late to run you know" he smiles.
I small smile falls across my lips. "The only place I'm running is into their arms" I reply as Nicole fake gags beside me.
we both giggle as Eris kisses me on the cheek. "Then let's go get married...again" he laughs as we walk out of the front door.
Ten minutes later we walk into the shack with all eyes on us. it's mainly just friends and a few business associates.
the kids are all polished and looking their best.
I am so proud of all of them, how the hell they have all turned out as good as they have, not to mention kind and considerate as they have is a wonder to me.
Alex, Shane, Brea and Max all stand near the open doors that lead to the beach. all in similar suits with a different shade of blue tie. I have four different blue flowers in my bouquet to match them.
they all smile when they see me in my modest knee length white lace dress. my heart almost fit to burst. I approach them slowly with some soft piano music playing in the background, Eric on my arm guiding me, before finally coming to a stop before them.
"Dearly beloved" the officiant begins, but I drown him out.
I look at my men, truly look at them. my family, my only family, not counting Nicole, eric and the kids, and finally my heart, my whole damn stubborn heart.
"We do" all the boys say the words at the same time making the room chuckle.
I have tears in my eyes now.
shit I zoned out!
I'm asked the same question, but I couldn't tell you what it was.
"I do" I answer without thinking making the boys smile.
when everyone stops to look at me, I can't hold in my tears anymore, I'm just so happy and it's trying to bubble out.
"I'm pregnant" I blurt it out to the room like its word vomit.
all the guys look at me with an even bigger smile, all of them knew accept Shane. the boys wanted him to his have his own child, so whenever we were intimate, they all wore condoms, all accept Shane.
"that's wonderful sweetheart" Shane says pulling me into a hug.
"it's your baby" I say looking into his beautiful eyes.
he stares at me for a long time, then looks up at the others with narrowed eyes.
"You all knew didn't you" he asks as we all start to laugh.
"We did it for you" Alex says stepping closer and catching Shane in a brief kiss.
he looks at me again in complete awe.
"Thank you... all of you" Shane coughs through his tears as one slips down his cheek. "This means everything to me" he adds kissing me deeply.
someone behind us coughs again.
"Shall we continue" the officiant asks in a lighthearted tone making everyone chuckle once again.
"Please do" Alex says winking at me and stepping back next to Shane.
after a very heartfelt speech from the boys about how much I mean to them and how I have given them beautiful children and a happy home, me in turn telling them how much they had changed my life for the better, how I never wanted to be alone again.
it was time to kiss my grooms.
each one kissing me more passionately than the other. like they had to prove to me what I meant to then individually.
finally, we are announced as husbands and wife.
the restaurant erupts in a loud cheer, many friends here never knowing if they would ever see me again, let alone watch me marry three more guys.
my own Harem.
sounds crazy when I say it out loud.
my kings.
my heart.
my life.
my loves.
THE END
