Chapter 24 Framed by Susie
Jane felt that holding her hand could give her a great sense of security. Her hand was completely wrapped in his palm. The warm touch made her couldn't help but smile.
"What are you laughing at?" Jeffery suddenly turned around and saw Jane, who was smiling with her head down. Her smile was clean and gentle, like a flower. He couldn't help pinching Jane's cheek with his other hand. "What would you like to eat?"
"Do you really believe me so much?" Jane did not answer him but asked, "What if I lied to you? What if I am really the kind of woman as they said? Aren't you afraid?"
Jeffery pinched Jane's nose, pushed her into the car, and got into the driver's seat. His colleague who started the car gave Jane a gentle and confident smile. "I believe in my own judgement. If you really lie to me, then I will take it as a lesson for me, showing that I am blind sometimes."
Jane touched her forehead. The man was confident and cocky, but Jeffery's confidence didn't seem annoying at all.
On the other side.
Since Jane left, Larry had been more and more upset.
He found a prostitue who was very similar to Jane in the clubhouse, took off her clothes and took a lot of peachy photos. Then he left, ready to go to the company to find Susie. She had sent the text message to Susie just now, and she must be still angry now.
Before he left, he did not forget to change his clothes and cover the teeth marks on his wrist.
He dared not let Susie know he had come to such a messy club, let alone let her smell the perfume on his body. Otherwise, instead of making Jane down, he will get himself into trouble.
He rushed to the company and opened the door of Susie's office. He smiled and said, "Honey, how about that? Did our cousin agree to expel that bitch?"
Originally, Susie had already let go of her anger in her heart. It was fine if he didn't mention it, but when he mentioned it, she became angry. "What do you think? What's going on? I went to complain to my cousin with a text message, but the woman said that her cell phone was lost. She didn't do it, but my cousin still believed it."
Larry was surprised, "Believe it? How can he believe it?"
Susie did not speak and cursed Jane more than a hundred times in her mind.
Larry thought about it carefully. Now that Jeffery trusted Jane so much, no matter how much they slandered Jane, it would be useless.
He thought about it and suddenly leaned himself to Susie's ear. "Honey, since Jeffery believes in her so much, then we had better..."
Susie gave a calculating smile. She couldn't make Jane leave. She didn't believe she could stay in the company all the time.
At this time, Jane just had dinner with Jeffery. As soon as she went upstairs, she heard that the senior managers were going to hold a board meeting. She hurried to get the information.
Everyone had already gone to the meeting room. Jane was just about to follow her when Susie came over and handed her two documents without a word.
"There are two files here. You can take them and sort them out quickly. After finishing one, give one to cousin and make him sign. Then print out the other one. Each member of the board of directors will have one copy. You should act faster and the documents were used for the meeting later."
Jane frowned. "Mrs. Reed, this is not my job. I'm going to send something to the president now."
"You are the only secretary of the president here. Who else can do it? Can you be responsible for delaying the meeting?"
Susie sneered, "Or do you think you are now a privileged person with my cousin backing you up? So you can go rogue and ignore my orders?"
Jane was silent.
She knew that if she didn't follow her orders now, Susie would definitely publicize that she was arrogant because of being spoiled. She relied on the CEO's dotting, so she just took her salary and didn't work. Following Susie's instructions, she put her copy on Jeffery's desk and took another copy to print.
When she finished printing all the copies, twenty minutes had passed.
When Jane walked into the office, everyone looked at her with some displeasure.
She frowned. Before she could ask what had happened, Susie scolded her. "What's wrong with you? You're just dawdling and wasting all our time. Send the documents to the meeting right now." "Sorry to keep everyone waiting." Jane apologized politely and then sent the documents to everyone.
The last one was for Susie, but when she got the file, she just looked through it in a hurry and threw the file on the table.
"What did you do? This is a document to sign and transfer money to my cousin. The data in it is the company's secret. I asked you to make another copy. What's wrong with you?"
Jane looked confused and read the documents in her hand again.
She was sure that she had made no mistake about the two folders Susie had given her. Although they were both red, one was bright and the other dark.
"How did you become the secretary of the president? Are you going to make mistakes for such a small thing?"
Susie scolded her in front of everyone, and her words were very unpleasant.
"Don't you know that these documents are the company's greatest secrets? If they are leaked out even a little, it will cause great losses to the company and you will take responsibility." Jane lowered her head and said nothing. She knew Susie did it on purpose.
This woman had suffered a loss at Jeffery's place at noon. Now, she was going to make trouble for her behind her back.
"All right, all shut up."
Jeffery, who had never said anything, rubbed his temple and let Tina who was nearby take back all the wrong documents.
After a while, he looked at her and said, "You go back first. There is Tina here. Print out the correct documents and ask other people in the secretary department to send here." Tina agreed and hurried to work.
Jane stood next to him, feeling very embarrassed.
She wanted to explain to Jeffery but knew that it was not the right time. In the end, she shut her mouth silently and turned to leave.
Susie watched her leaving and a mocking look flashed across her eyes.
She knew Jeffery, and she also knew that her cousin is very strict with his subordinates. He couldn't allow people around him to slack off at work, or he won't let anyone off. What's more, what Jane committed today was still a big mistake that concerned the security of the whole company!
She thought that Jeffery's execution just now must be attributed to the lack of work ability of Jane Jeffery. After today's event, he would definitely be dissatisfied with that b*tch. Once this kind of dissatisfaction was accumulated over time, her cousin would completely hate this b*tch.
Jane did not speak, quietly went out. She printed the documents back and handed them to Diana, and then went back to the office.
She didn't intend to fuss about it. The more she fussed over it, the happier her opponent was, and the more satisfied they were.
