Chapter 20: I Will Be the Thief of Your Heart
Only Fleur and Olivier remained in the room. On the big screen, paused song lyrics remained.
Fleur back onto the sofa as if exhausted from speaking. She looked at Olivier, who just happened to look at her.
Their eyes met.
He was a cold and proud man. Undeniably attractive.
"You know Simon Muller?"
"His name is Simon?"
Olivier did not say anything. He thought she did not know Simon based on what she said. He would later find out Fleur did, only that her acting was too good for him to realise. Simon seemed to know her, based on their interactions. When Simon looked at Fleur, he looked at her like looking at a prospective partner.
Olivier leaned back and narrowed his eyes.
Fleur buried herself in his chest, her sweet scent washing over him from the top of her head. Olivier furrowed his eyebrows. He was about to pull her off when she nuzzled against his chest like a cat all the way from his chest to his shoulder. Fleur stared at him coyly.
"Cat got your tongue?" She inhaled his strong vibrant scent, "My waist aches, could you help me massage it a little?"
Olivier stared at her emotionlessly. He spoke after a moment, ignoring her flirtations. "You're no ordinary woman, huh?" There was an attractive lilt in his voice.
Fleur pouted as if she wanted to kiss him.
Olivier threw a quick, snapping gaze that said "No."
Fleur said, "How could a night club owner compare with yourself?" She nuzzled her head against his chin.
Olivier grabbed her chin, pinching her lips. They were wet and plump.
"Even Waldo's five million couldn't get you to reveal yourself. Now you show up, willing to give away millions of dollars. Are you here for me or for Simon?"
The dim light shaded any flaws on one's face, only leaving her shinning beauty.
Fleur was stunning on her own. Now with her lips being accentuated by Olivier, it added several notes of playful shyness to her demeanour.
She deliberately pursed her lips and released them, lips red from the gesture. Olivier felt a wave of heat rush into him.
He instantly loosened his grip.
"Of course I'm here for you." Fleur nuzzled against him. "Why else would I bring my precious wine out? It's so expensive."
"You saw me?"
"I didn't."
"Then how did you know I was here?"
Fleur circled her arms around his waist. "I saw Simon Muller outside. Earlier today, Camille showed me a photo of the Muller family's eldest son and said that he was Miss Lopez's sweetheart, but died a year and a half ago, by unnatural means. I'm wondering if they are twins."
"You're all in the same circle. If the Muller family's second son is here, you won't be far."
Olivier's breath was slightly uneven. He tugged Fleur's hand away but she only held on again, leaning against him.
"So in the end you're still here for Simon Muller?"
"Are you jealous?"
Olivier closed his eyes, a vein twitching in his neck. "Get off of me."
Fleur ignored him. "Didn't I tell you I'm set on having you to myself? I would naturally have to know my love rivals, yes? Isn't Samuel Muller the reason Miss Lopez rejected your proposal?"
Olivier was silent.
Fleur stared at him, his features were exquisitely handsome. When light shone in his eyes, the magnetic darkness in them was enough to drown a person.
Fleur held his face with one hand and said, "I've come to steal your heart. Olivier. I will be the thief of your heart."
Beside them on the screen, the lyrics paused wrote: Here you are, thief of my heart, I am defenseless against you."
