SWNOVELS Chapter Chapter Twenty-six
(Darian POV)
I walked around the car to open the passenger side for my angel to get in. As we started to drive out of the parking lot, I realized that I didn’t even ask her the pack’s name nor where we were driving too.
“Hey angel, but what pack do you belong too?”
“River stone pack, it’s not too far from here. If you head down this road for 20 minutes and it should be on the left side.”
The River stone pack? Why does that pack sound so familiar? It’s not a pack that’s in our kingdom’s territory, but I know I have heard of it for some reason. I looked over to my beautiful mate to ask her more about her pack when I noticed a crescent moon shape mark behind her left ear that I didn’t notice at the café.
“Angel, can you tell me a little more about your family and the pack you live in.”
“Well, my father is Beta of the pack, and his name is Jace Dashanan. My mother’s name is Natalie, my brother his name is Jasper, and my younger sister Kiara. My brother works as the CEO of one of the businesses that our pack owns. Our Alpha’s name is Samuel Black, and his mate is Arianell. They were just mated about a month ago and she’s only 16 years old.”
“So, when is your father going to put your brother up for being the next Beta?”
“Well, maybe that’s how other packs work but not ours. The next Beta of the pack will be my mate, and that would be you.”
“What are you talking about my angel? Why would I be next in line to be the Beta of your pack?”
“Have you ever heard of the story of the silver wolf and the white wolf?”
“Yes, the silver wolf is supposed to be the descendant of the moon goddess herself. The white wolf was created by the moon goddess to protect her descendants.”
“The legend of them is true. Our Luna Arianell is the silver wolf and I’m the white wolf.”
I just pulled over the car because I couldn’t believe what I just heard. I remember where I heard the River stone pack now. It was the pack in the legend of the first silver wolf that was born on the earth.
“You’re the white wolf my angel?”
“Yes, the crescent moon mark behind my left ear is the symbol the goddess gave to us. The silver and white wolf are passed through mother to daughter. To keep them within our pack is to make their mates take on the role of the Alpha or Beta of the pack. So, that’s why you my mate will be the next Beta of our pack unless you’re next in line for your own pack.”
Oh no I really don’t want to talk about being a prince, but I can tell her that I’m not next in line.
“No angel, I’m not next in line for anything. My brother is the next in line for my pack. So, there will be no problem with me taking over for your father.”
I was starting to believe that I had finally found my place in this world that has nothing to do with my brother. Aiden and I were together for almost a year, and I had already marked her and was marked by her. We decided to wait on having pups until I took the place of her father to be the next Beta in the pack. Everything was going well until my brother Darius tracked me down and wanted me back to be his next Beta and that wasn’t the worst. When Darius meets my angel Aiden just to find that they were also mates. I forgotten that identical twins always seemed to share a mate for reason that no one understood why, but some says it’s because the twins share a soul. Aiden wanted to be with both of us and Darius was willing to give it a try, but I refused to share her with anyone special my brother. After my brother marked my mate that I decided to take off, only to feel the pain of being away from my angel. I went back to beg her to reject me and to let me find another, but she refused to do so. We did end up sleeping together, and when I found out that she was pregnant with my pup. That’s when I decided that I had to have my pup. I had my pack attack my brother kingdom to get me my daughter, but she disappeared. It took me 17 years to find my pup that my angels’ sister had taken her to.

(Aurora POV)
I was laying in my bed taking in everything that Darian…I mean what my father just said to me. So many things were going through my head like who the hell am I. I’m no longer the person that I used to be. My father wasn’t Kaven as I grew up to believe to be. The mother I knew who never really care for me wasn’t even my mother and this women Aiden that I had never met is my mother. It only made me think more about Alex and how much I really do miss him. I know Seb told me there was a reason Alex did what he had too, but I’m not sure what it could be, and will I ever find out what it is. Is he going to be able to find me? So many questions, but who is going to answer them for me or is it I the one that’ll be answering them for myself. In time I was able to finally fall asleep but was I asleep? I found myself in the woods, near the river and laying on the grass with the full moon shining on me. Where am I, but in time I realized that I wasn’t alone here. I felt a hand touching my check and felt the warm sparks coming from the touch.
“Alex?”
“Yes, my little moon.”
“But how Alex? Is this just a dream because it feels so real to be so?”
“It’s a real little moon. We’re really here together.”
I looked up at the face I haven’t seen in over four years now and lost myself in my emotion. I jumped to my feet and wrapped my arms around Alex’s neck, placing my lips onto his. I’ve forgotten how good it felt with his lips against mine but not too long later I almost forgotten how he betrayed me. I pushed him away as I slapped him across his face not caring if I hurt his feeling doing so, or that’s what I thought before he turned to me with tears running down his face.
“I understand why you’re so upset about my little moon. Please, let me explain to you on what really happen, also why the night of the ball that I had to announce that Kimberly was my mate and not you.”
“Fine, I’m listening to your reason and also explain why you are here in my dreams.”
He takes my hand to lead me to sit with him on the grass next to the river as he pulls me into his lap.
“I miss this so much, my little moon.”
I can feel his breath in my hair as he runs his fingers through it.
“The day of the ball, my father decides to come home earlier to let me know about you being my mate. He seemed to have founded out as he had the witch put a curse onto the stone in the ring that I gave to you. He gave me the choice to either announce to the pack that Kimberly was my mate, or he would have killed you and our pups.”
“What, you knew I was pregnant that night?”
“Yes. Do you remember the day before that you saw the packs doctor to get a health exam and your blood drawn? Well, the test came out that you were pregnant. Now I had you and our pups, and I had to protect you all.”
“Wait, you said pups.”
“Yes pups, I met Marcus and Alexis already and they’re as beautiful as you, my moon. I already love them both with all my heart, and now we need you to complete our family. Please, I need you back in my life before I lose myself forever.”
“I miss you as well, Alex and our pups. I do understand why you did what you did but it still hurts and might take a while for me to completely trust you again.”
“My moon, I’ll do whatever it takes to get that trust back from you no matter what I’ll have to do to prove my love to you.”
“How are we even here though Alex?”
“Anastasia made a potion to tract you through our mate bond and she told me when we get closer together that I’ll be able to enter your thoughts or dreams. According to David, we’re only about a few minutes away from you.”
“You really mean it? Are we going to be together again soon?”
“Yes, my little moon. We’ll always be together.”
I turned around in his lap to lay my head onto his chest. I breathe in his scent that I haven’t smelled in an awfully long time, feeling safe surrounded by his warmth and love. For the first time in the four years, we were apart that I can feel this way again and as I was starting to think everything is going to alright again that’s when I felt the sharp pains in both my arms. The pain was so bad that I couldn’t help but scream.
“My little moon, what’s wrong? Why are you screaming?”
“It hurts Alex, these sharp pains in my arms feels like something is digging into my skin.”
I looked down to my arms to see blood coming from pin type holes in my arms. What the hell are these also why am I feeling like someone is grabbing and shaking my body awake.
