SWNOVELS Chapter Chapter twenty-four
(Aurora POV)
I woke up in a room that I have never been in before. The colors of the room were a warm light brown and brown bricks for the trimming. There was a large queen size bed in the room with a box like canopy with white type drapes flowing down. I’m not sure how I’ve gotten here because the last thing I remember was talking to Seb and having Damien cut into the phone call. I remember a sharp pain in my neck and then waking up here. I was snapped out of thought when there was a light knock on the door. A girl with bluish hair with tattoos on her arms and legs walking into the bedroom.
“Hi Aurora, my name is Maisa, and I’ll be taking care of all your needs while you are here.”
I noticed that she was carrying a tray with a plate of food I guess for me. There was an omelet with mushrooms, spinach, and cheddar cheese. A bowl of mixed berries and some hot tea that smelt of peppermint.
“Here Aurora, you must be hungry after sleeping through the day.”
“Why am I here?”
“Because our Alpha wanted you to be here. I’m sorry but I can’t tell you any more than that.”
“Are you afraid of him?”
“No, it’s not that. He’s a nice guy that helps rouges like me to that no one else wants to be in a pack. When I was eight years old my old pack left me in the woods for death because they felt I was weak. He happened to come across me and take me in without even a second thought. He never made any of us feel like we don’t deserve to be in his pack. For that I will always keep a special place in my heart for him.”
I can see just how much she respect the Alpha of this pack. I’m just wondering what am I doing here and what does he want with me?
“Maisa, who is this Alpha, I mean what is his name?”
“I’m sorry but you’re going to have to wait to talk to him for that. Oh yeah, I’m almost forgot to introduce you to Sinan and Sinclair.”
She then walked over to the door to get someone’s attention to come in. When she moves aside two men walked onto the room. The first guy I saw was over 6 feet, short light brown hair, brown eyes, was very well built, and tattoos on his arms. The other guy had longer blonde wavy blonde hair, maybe about 5 “10”, and had leaner muscles.
“Aurora, this is Sinclair and the guy that won’t be talking very much is Sinan. They will be outside of your door to keep an eye on you.”
That means they will be making sure that I behave and stay in my room. It’s has been days and I still haven’t seen this Alpha of their nor do I still don’t know why I’m here for. Maisa kept me entertained the best she could. She brought me many books to read, games that I can play card games with her, and even a TV to watch. I haven’t met anyone else besides Maisa, Sinan, and Sinclair. As I’m sitting on the bed reading “The secret wolf” by China SummersBreath. When I hear someone that sounded a lot like Damien. I walked over to the door to listen to what they were saying.
“Is there a reason that I can’t see my kitten?”
“Alpha told Sinan and I not to let any males in, special you Damien.”
“I’m not understanding why that is, Sinclair?”
“She’s an unmarked female and he’s not wanting any unmated males around her. She’s incredibly special to him.”
“Wait, isn’t Sinan an unmated himself?”
“Yes, Sinan is an unmated but our Alpha trust him even with his own life so why wouldn’t he trust him by her.”
“Are you going to go willing, or should I show exactly why he trust me for this job.”
Wow that is the first time that I heard Sinan even say a word the whole time I’ve been here. I then decided to peek behind the door to be able to see what is going on as well as hear it. I see that Sinan was blocking them from Damien, and after a while he seemed to have given up as he stormed away like a child not getting his way. It was funny watching him act like the child he is, but then I heard someone clearing their throat.
“Aurora, we know that you been listening for a while now.”
It was Sinclair looking at me through the crack of the door as he opens it all the way open making me jump a little bit.
“I just wanted to see what was going on out here. Why was Damien trying to get into my room?”
“We’re not sure why nor do we care why, but we do know that the Alpha doesn’t want him near you so that is all we need to know.”
“Alright I did hear that Sinan is not mated, but does that mean that you are?”
“Why are you interested in me then?”
He was wiggling his eyebrows as he was leaning onto the doorway. Both I and Sinan give him an annoyed look.
“I’m only kidding Princes; I wouldn’t want to piss off the Alpha.”
Wait, didn’t Donovan also call me a Princess, but why?
“Why you and Donovan call me Princess?”
That question seemed to shut him down for a bit before he started talking again.
“Yeah, I have a mate.”
He turned his head to show me the left side of his neck where his mark was. It’s interesting that everyone’s marks are different and shows the two mates’ personality, but I realized that he avoided my question at the same time.
“What is your mates name and what is she like? Will I get to meet her?”
“Her name is Maisa, the girl that’s been taking care of you and is now getting you your lunch. That’s one of the reasons that our Alpha picked us, because he knew we be a 24 hour away from each other if he didn’t.”
“Are you guys talking about me because I can feel my ears burning all the way here.”
We all looked down the hallway to see Maisa coming with a food trolley with four plates of food on it. Two plates have a BLT sandwich on them, there was one with a Philly cheese steak, and the last plate had a grilled chicken sandwich on it. They all had shoestring French fries on them.
“Hey Aurora, would you mind if the guy’s join us for lunch today?”
“I don’t mind if they join us.”
Sinclair went over to her to get the food trolley and wheeled it into my room at the table. Maisa handed the food to all of us with the grilled chicken for me, the Philly cheese steak for Sinan, the BLT for Sinclair and her.
“I made us all some sweet tea to go along with our lunch.”
We sat there eating as Sinclair and Maisa were whispering to each other lovely dove stuff of course. That’s one of the bad things of being a werewolf is the great hearing, it made me, and Kamaria miss Alex even more. Sitting there I had time to think about a lot like how are my kids doing, where was Alex at that moment, and when would I meet this so-called Alpha? I noticed as I looked toward Sinan that he was linking with someone now. It was only a few minutes before snapping out of it.
“Aurora, the Alpha would like to have dinner with you tonight. Maisa, he wants you to get her ready by five. He wants it to be a special night, so please get her into a nice dress for dinner.”
“Alright Sinan.”
After lunch and the guys going back to standing outside my door, that’s when Maisa takes me to my walk-in closet to look for something for me to wear tonight. I can’t believe how many types of outfits I have in this closet. Some formal dresses, sun dresses, and a lot of other outfits I’m not sure when I would ever wear them. She grabbed me a baby blue lace dress that came to my knees and long sleeves. After she gets me dressed and gets my hair into half French braid. She puts light make up onto my face and gets it all done before it reaches five. She then directed me to the dining room that was a very welcoming feeling as I walked into the room. The walls were a reddish brown like a clay color with some cream color trimming. There was a wooden table with six wooden chairs, and white cushions on the chairs. Maisa lead me to sit on the left side of the table, then leaves the room. I was there for a while before hearing the door opening, and when I looked over to see who it was a man. He was around six-foot, with short black hair, light blueish gray eyes, dark trimmed facial hair, and wearing a dark blue three-piece suit. He sits at the head of the table that happens to be right next to me. His very presence was making my body shake with fear or something close to that.
“I’m so sorry that it’s taken me so long for us to meet. I hope your room is to your liking and the foods that the cook is making for you is alright.”
“Why am I here, and who are you to me?”
“Right to the point aren’t you little one. Well, first I would like to ask you a question. What is your parents name?”
“What does my parents name have to do why I’m here?”
As I looked up to see his eyes turning a dark blue that he must be struggling with his wolf for control. He must have noticed the fear in my eyes thinking his wolf was going to take control to hurt me, because he then trying to take the control back.
“I’m really sorry little one, but it’s been getting harder for me to keep control over my wolf as the years go by. I’m not sure how much longer it will be when he takes complete control over me. Can you please just answer my question little one?”
“Alright, their names are Tiana and Kaven Chandrakant.”
“I hate to tell you little one, but your wrong about that.”
The edge of his lip turned up into a smirk, but his eyes were sad. Before I could make a remark to his statement a young female came rolling the food into the room. She was only about 5”4’, dark long brown hair, hazel blue eyes, and light tan skin like she hadn’t been outside in a while. She brought in the first of the meal which was a creamy pumpkin soup. We ate for a bit as I still have in my mind that he needs to answer my question now.
“You never answer my question, Alpha.”
“Well, I’ll be nice and answer one of your questions for you. My name is Darian Dashanan.”
A little while later the same girl came back out with the main course which was orange glazed Cornish hen, with roasted potatoes, and creamy asparagus. As the girl was walking out of the room, she looked back to me with sadness.
“Why did you say that I was wrong about who my parents are?”
He stops eating as he reaches into the inside of his inside suit to pull out a picture to hand over to me. I looked at the picture to see it was of a female that I swear looks just like me, but there were some differences between us but not a lot of them. Who is she, and who is she to me?
“That’s Queen Aiden Knight and she is your real mother. Your real father is me and not that wolf Kaven. Do you understand now my little one, why you are here and that you belong to me!”
