Beta Zachary Alan By Amina Hazim

Chapter 6

Sarah Williams – POV

“Come on, let’s go and have something to eat,” Noah suggested and extended his hand for me to take, I sighed before I took it, and he pulled me up with so much force that I crashed against his chest, and I held his arms to steady myself. We both looked into each other’s eyes, there were no licentious intentions in him, and for a second, I was mesmerized by him.

“Noah!” a deep voice yelled, which made us both step away from each other, and we both turned around to see who it was. Beta Alan was standing there with a stoic look on his face, and he started to walk toward us. “Gam ma Dimitri is having a bit of trouble at the eastern side of our border. Report there immediately.” Beta Alan spoke while his glare was directed at me, and I discreetly tried to cower away from him.

“I will see you later, Sarah,” Noah spoke to me before I felt his presence far away from him. The forest was quiet except for the sound of wild animals.

“I never take women into this pack because they will just be a distraction to our warriors unless they are mates.” Beta Alan began, and he scanned me from head to toe making my cheeks flame red, and my hands slightly trembled, with the heat that was slowly consuming my body. “Next time, when you come to practice. Don’t wear revealing clothes like this because if something happens to you, I will not be taking the responsibility for that,” he said sternly and soon left the

When I arrived at the pack house, I ran back to my room and took a shower, before I came back downstairs and made my way to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat before I leave. “Hey, how was your training?” I was midway through building my sandwich when Dimitri walked inside and grabbed a glass of orange juice from the fridge.

“Horrible. I have no idea how am I going to survive the rest of this.” I answered, and he shook his head and laughed out loud.

“Trust me, I saw you training. Be thankful that it was Noah and not Zachary. He is ruthless in training someone.” Dimitri replied and I gave him a puzzled look.

“Who is Zachary?”

“Beta Zachary Alan.” Dimitri answered, and my mouth. formed an ‘o’.

“So, do you have a mate?” I asked the question out of the blue, and he smirked my way and shook his head.

“I think, out of the three high-ranking wolves in this pack, only Zachary had found his mate,” Dimitri said, which made me drop the knife I was holding, Dimitri looked at me with. suspicious, so I soon picked it up and started chopping the carrots that I wanted with shaky hands. I have never heard of someone who gets to have two mates at the same time. Is that the reason he didn’t even acknowledge my presence?

“So, his mate is in the main pack?” I stammered, but Dimitri ignored my behavior and shook his head.

“Unfortunately, that bit ch left him for an Alpha. Anyway, that was bound to happen since she was an Alpha’s

daughter, and she didn’t want to mate with a beta.” for some unknown reason, I let out a sigh of relief, even though I know that there is a chance that Beta Alan might reject me.

“I got to go and meet the Alpha. I will see you later.” I said and dropped everything and rushed out of the kitchen.

“Can I eat this sandwich?” I heard Dimitri yell, and I yelled a yes back before I went upstairs and grabbed my car keys and my handbags, and left the pack house. When I arrived at the main pack, I parked my car in front of the pack house and made my way to the front door.

Ring, ring.

When I was about to twist the door handle, my phone rang, and I took it out of my pocket to see that the call was from an unknown number.

“Hello?”

“How are you liking your new pack, sweetheart?” I recognized that voice instantly, and Jane lightly growled in my head.

“Everything between us was over, Carmen. I am not your mate for you to ask that question from me.” I sneered back, and I heard him laugh.

“Well, you will be my mate again, Sarah. You challenged me and rejected me in front of a pack member, so don’t think I will let you out off the h o ok that easily. I will make sure I torture you for the rest of your life.” Carmen threatened.

“I am not going to beg for you to spare me, Alpha Vanguard. I have faced the worst in my life, so do whatever you want. I don’t care.” I said in anger, and before he could speak again, I disconnected the line and blocked the phone number. I took a deep breath and opened the door and entered the pack house, and made my way upstairs to the Alpha’s office.

I knocked twice on his door and stepped back, waiting to hear him say something. But the door opened inward, and I was shocked to see Beta Alan standing there. Our eyes

briefly met before he moved away from the door to leave the office. Our shoulders brushed, firing up the sparks that made me catch my breath, and I looked back to see that he didn’t even stop.

“Miss.Williams?” I broke away from my trance and entered the room.

“Alpha Blaze, I am sorry to disturb you at this hour. But I want to ask a favor from you.”

“I am listening.”

“Um, I want to start my new business as an interior designer. But for that, I want to rent out a shop in your town.” I explained, and he nodded his head and scribbled something on a piece of paper, and extended it for me to take.

“That town belongs to Beta Alan. I have written your request on that piece of paper, so you can go and meet him regarding that.”

“But…but, Alpha, can’t you get me a shop there? I mean, I don’t think it’s necessary to trouble the beta regarding this?” I asked him, praying that he would agree, but he

laughed at my suggestion and shook his head.

“Beta Alan owns a real estate business. And that town belongs to him, so you will have to speak with him. I know, I think you must have figured out that he is not a social

person, but he will be very professional in this sort of thing.” Alpha Blaze reassured me, and I nodded my head before I left his room.
