Beta Xavier Costa.

Chapter 81

Eleanor Amato - POV

The moment my hand was free for a second, I swung my fist at him. And surprisingly, I was able to punch him in the nose, which started bleeding as he stepped back. I took this as my chance and tried to run out, but the rogue was faster. He grabbed my hair and dragged me towards him. “I thought I would be nice to you. But I don't think I am going to waste my time anymore,” he said in a dangerously calm voice as he dragged me with my hair and banged my head on the concrete wall several times till I felt my head start to spin.

Blood was oozing from a cut in my forehead, obstructing my vision, but I was not able to do anything right now. My head was pounding with a headache while my eyes moved in and out of consciousness.

He quickly chained my hands together and locked them as well before throwing me to the floor. I looked at him to see that he was fumbling with his belt, and a cold shiver ran down my spine. “Please, don't.” I began crying and begging him. “I...I am pregnant.” I blurted out, and this made his hand momentarily stop. “For the sake of my baby. Please let me go.” I said, and for a fleeting moment, I thought that there was some amount of humanity left in him, but I was so wrong.

A lustful smile appeared on his face. “This will be fun,” he said as he grabbed my hair and made me look at him. “Now I can see your miscarriage as well,” he said and dropped my head. Sobs reeked through my body as I thought how could someone be this heartless?

He managed to remove his belt, and when he was about to remove his pants, the door to the room flew open. Both the rogue and I looked up in alarm when I saw a stranger standing there. My head was already pounding, and I was not able to think straight right now either.

“What the fuck!” the rogue yelled and tried to kill the intruder while I quickly moved back and pressed my back against the concrete wall and pulled my legs closer to my chest. I heard a lot of banging and growls when everything became silent again. Soon, the same guy walked in towards me.

“Miss. Amato?” he spoke gently while I avoided his glance. My heart was beating against my chest while my entire body trembled in fear. “Are you hurt anywhere?” he asked me, but I didn't speak a word. My eyes were threatening to close, but I was afraid that if I fainted now, something might happen to me or my baby.

The man moved towards me quickly unlocked the locks and removed the chains that were wrapped around my hands and legs.

As the man took a step back, someone else walked into the room. “Eleanor?” the voice of my mate made fresh tears roll down my cheeks as I looked up to see Xavier standing there. His t-shirt was soaked with blood, but there was a relieved look on his face.

“Xavier!” I choked out, and soon he came and took a seat next to me and pulled me towards him. I wrapped my arms around his waist while he stroked my hair.

“You are safe now. You are safe.” he kept repeating those words, and that was when I finally allowed myself to slip into darkness.

Beta Xavier Costa - POV

She fainted in my arms, and I knew that there was not enough time right now. I need to get her to the pack hospital and get her checked. Right then, a warrior walked in with the T-shirt I asked for. I quickly made Eleanor wear it and then carried her out of that building. ‘Beta Costa, we have killed all the rogues, and Mr. Amato’s son and wife are dead as well.” one of the warriors informed me.

“Good, what happened to Jacob?”

“As you said, we have taken Mr. Amato to the pack dungeon,” he answered, and I nodded my head as I climbed the stairs and made my way upstairs.

“Beta Costa.” the warrior spoke, and this made me stop in my tracks. “Should we kill Luca and Chantelle?” he asked me, sounding hesitant.

“No, take them to the dungeon as well. I want to see their life slip from their body.” I told him, and he nodded his head and walked away.

I walked back outside, and a warrior had already brought my car. “You drive,” I told the warrior, and he nodded his head and made his way to the driver's seat while I got into the back with Eleanor.

“Please put her in the stretcher, Beta Costa.” one of the nurses said as she saw me bring Eleanor inside. I quickly placed her on the stretcher, and they wheeled her into the emergency room. I was pacing up and down the corridor when I saw Ivan standing in front of a closed door.

“Ivan?” I called out, which made him turn around to look at me. “How is Rebecca doing now?”

“They were able to stabilize her. The doctor said that she was out of danger, but it would take some time for her to wake up.”

“Don't worry, nothing will happen to her,” I reassured him, and he nodded his head.

“I heard that Eleanor is in the hospital. Is everything all right?” he asked me, sounding concerned, and I nodded my head.

“Yes, it's just that she fainted, but I also wanted to make sure that everything was okay,” I told him, and he nodded his head.

“Beta Costa.” I turned around when I saw a nurse standing there.

“Yes.”

“Miss. Amato is shifted to a room, and the doctor would like to have a word with you,” she said, I nodded my head and walked to where Eleanor was. As I entered the room, I saw the doctor there.

“Beta Costa, did you know that Miss. Amato was pregnant?” she asked me, and I nodded my head.

“Is the baby all right, doctor?”
