Beta Xavier Costa.

Chapter 77

Beta Xavier Costa - POV

Eleanor’s phone was inside, but the phone was smashed, and it was splattered with blood. With trembling hands, I took it out and brought it closer to my nose, when I felt my heart nearly stop beating again. It was Eleanor’s blood.

What have they done to you, Ellie?

My eyes pooled with tears. The phone dropped from my hand and fell to the floor while I took out a lock of her hair and there was a paper inside as well. I took it out and unfolded it to read.

It's so sad that you will not see your mate again, Beta Costa. So, that is why I sent you a lock of her hair along with her phone, which you can keep as a memory because you are never going to see her again.

I crushed the paper and dropped everything to the floor. “Ellie?” I mumbled as I held her lock of hair and fell to the ground.

“Xavier.” Marquez held my shoulder, but I stayed on the ground. “We will find her before anything happens.” He reassured me, but I just stayed on the ground. Silent tears rolled down my cheeks.

“It is all my fault,” I mumbled.

“No, it's not, Xavier,” Marquez said, but I shook my head. I wiped away the tears and got up from the floor. I am not going to let anything happen to Eleanor or the baby. “Where are you going?” Marquez yelled as he ran to catch up with me. I made my way to my house and went into the garage.

“I am going to hunt that bastard and make sure he is dead for good,” I said as I made my make to one of the cars, got inside, and drove out of there. Before leaving the pack, I first drove to the building the omegas lived in and stormed inside.

A few omega who were there looked at me in alarm. “Where is Benjamin’s room?” I asked them in a calm voice.

“It's upstairs, Beta Costa. His name is craved on the door.” one of the omega stammered, and without a second look, I ran up the stairs, taking it two at a time, and arrived on the first floor. I walked down the hallway, looking at the names on the door when I finally found the door I was looking for. I tried to open it, but the room was locked.

Looking around, I stepped back and launched myself on the door. The door flew open, and I quickly walked inside. I looked around the room when I realized that there was nothing in there. I walked towards the closet and opened it when I saw that there was only one T-shirt there. I grabbed it and walked back downstairs. As I walked out of there, I saw that everyone looked scared.

I made my way back to my car and drove away from the pack. On my way, I dialed Elizabeth’s number, praying that she would pick up. “Hello?” I heard her raspy voice when she picked up in the last ring.

“I want to meet you now.”

“Come to our usual place,” she said, and I soon disconnected the call. I threw my phone into the passenger seat and stepped on the gas. Within fifteen minutes, I arrived at the location. I parked the car on the curb and got down to see her standing near the edge of the forest.

“Why did you want to meet me now, Beta Costa?” Elizabeth asked me.

“Someone kidnapped my mate. And I want you to help me find her.” I told her, and she nodded her head. She looked around the deserted forest before her eyes landed on me again.

“Do you have anything that belongs to the kidnapper?” she asked me, and I nodded my head as I showed her the t-shirt. “Let's go to my home then,” she said, I nodded my head, and we walked into the forest. About an hour later, we arrived at her house, and she opened the door for me to enter.

It was a modest-looking house. As we entered the house, there was a living room, and as she led me inside, I saw a small kitchen and her bedroom when we finally came to a stop in front of a closed door. She took out a key from her pocket and opened the door.

I felt like I was entering into the room of a mad scientist. There were large glass bowls with different liquids brewing inside. There was a huge rack on one side of the room with glass bottles containing various liquids and dried elements. Elizabeth led me to the oval table that was in the center of the room and gestured for me to take a seat on a chair.

“This will take a while,” she explained, and I nodded my head as I saw her begin her work. She used various potions and herbs, and after a while, I lost track of what she was putting. An hour later she asked for the T-shirt, so I gave it to her.

She cut a small piece from that, put it inside the potion, and mixed it nicely. About two hours later, she took out a small vial filled it with the potion she made, and handed it over to me. “Pour this liquid into the last place you saw the kidnapper, and you will soon find his scent.” She explained, and I nodded my head and took the vial from her.

“Thank you for your help, Elizabeth,” I told her, and she nodded her head. I quickly walked outside, and this time, I shifted into my wolf and ran back to my car. I looked around my surroundings before I walked to the road and poured a few drops of this liquid on the floor.

For a long time, nothing happened when I was suddenly bombarded with Benjamin’s scent. “You are as good as dead,” I whispered when I quickly got inside the car and began following the scent.
