Chapter 68

Chapter 68
Lilac was shocked to see how that woman shifted into her beast and charged toward her, her eyes filled with rage and she was
sure, her intention was to kill her, since it was pretty clear. As a shifter, you would be able to feel this kind of thing.
Unfortunately, Lilac didn’t have time to shift into her beast and dodged the attack in time, so out of instinct, she raised her arms
to cover her face, which the beast bit into it and tore her flesh. Blood spurted out from her wound and this made her stomach
churned with the pain that started to spread around her b*dy.
“No! Stop!” Lilac cried out loud, as she tried to push away the beast, but her other hands was clawed.
Trying her best to get out of her predicament, Lilac kicked the beast away from her, which allowed her to shift into her beast too.
But, it was rather too late, because she had been injured, more so, she was not a fighter.
All of the lesson that luna Jasmine taught her, none of them was about a self protection, because in luna Jasmine’s eyes, there
was no need for that. Their mate should be the one, who protected them, more so, they were safe. They were the alpha’s family
after all, who would be stupid enough to harm them.
Based on that, Lilac’s best chance was to escape from this room, away from this crazy beast.
However, blinded by rage, the other beast wouldn’t let her go so easily. She rushed toward the door and assaulted the other
beast, as she clawed Lilac’s back and threw.
her across the room.
The sound of her snarl was very eerie, it echoed throughout the walls and it sent shivered down Lilac’s veins. She couldn’t
understand what she had done wrong and why this woman wanted to kill her, but the pain had numbed her mind, she couldn’t
think of anything, aside from the fact she was going to die.
She didn’t have any strength left to save herself and she was extremely injured, as she could only smell her own blood lingered
in the air.
The other beast stalked toward her, her fangs barred and her claws were as sharp as razor, ready to tear her apart.
Here she was, thinking she would have a second chance, thinking she could finally have her happiness, but how naïve she was
to think she could get that. She was very naïve indeed. Life had never been kind to her, so why would it now?

When Lilac was about to lose her consciousness completely, someone entered the room and tackled down the beast.
The last thing Lilac watched was the two beasts fought against each other.
Would she be able to be saved? She wondered if she would be able to live and see
the sun tomorrow.

Her whole b*dy was in so much pain, even when she breathed, the pain on her back was killing her.
Lilac whimpered, as she laid down on her stomach and was having a hard time to breath. The pain was suffocating. Her healing
process was very slow, because the wounds were created by the lycan.
The wounds from the lycan was very hard to be healed and it was still questionable about why it was that way.
However, that was only the fact in this world and sometime there was no answer
for that.
That was why, when you fought a lycan, you need to be very careful, since the injuries they inflicted would last longer than any
injuries that you would sustain if you fought against other werewolf. Lycan was a lethal creature for a reason after

all.
“Ssh... it’s okay, it’s okay.”
It was Hunter’s voice, trying to calm her down, when Lilac started whimpering as she regained her consciousness and the pain
made her wanted to cry out loud.
“Ssh... you will heal. You will heal... don’t worry...”
Hunter’s whispery tone lulled Lilac to sleep again, but actually the alpha couldn’t stand the sight of her being in pain, so he asked
the healer to put her into sleep.
The way he talked with Lilac earlier was very different when he talked to his beta, Darren.
“Bring Grace to the dungeon. Keep her there.”
“Yes, alpha,” Darren said. He was being very formal with Hunter right now because he could see how pi s s e d he was with what
was happening.

No one would dare to cross her at this moment.
“I am sure, Kellan will protest sooner or later once he heard what you did to his daughter,” Rye commented.
“He could protest as much as he liked.” Hunter wouldn’t give a shi t about that. “He should be grateful I don’t skin his daughter
alive.”
Rye felt fear ran down his spine to hear how vicious Hunter was talking. The alpha then waved his hand, indicating all of them to
leave the room. He wanted to have time with Lilac alone.
Rye and the healer immediately left the room, they didn’t want to pis s their alpha more than this.
After the two of them were leaving, Hunter cradled Lilac carefully in his arms, his eyes darkened when he saw her wounded
back. Even in her sleep she was still whimpering and this made his heart ached. He should have known Grace would be a crazy
dog the moment she heard about Lilac.
However, Hunter didn’t think, he didn’t even imagine that she would go this far to attack Lilac with the intention to kill her.
He really had put his guard down and caused Lilac to be injured like this.
“I am sorry, Lilac... I should have protected you. You shouldn’t be in pain again now you are in my pack and I am the alpha. I am
really sorry...” Hunter leaned over and k*ssed her forehead, as he tried to calm himself down. He was really tempted
to shred Grace into pieces.
