Chapter 60
Chapter 60
Lilac was very upset to see where she was going, but when she realized she had gone too far, she returned to the waterfall. It
was not hard to go back there when. the sound of the water filled the entire forest.
After she saw there was no one there and probably Hunter looked for her somewhere else, she then entered the secret cave and
stayed there. She was not sure how long she had stayed inside, because at some point, she fell asleep without even knowing it.
She was very exhausted, physically and ment a l l y, where she didn’t even want to think of anything else. She only wanted to get
some quiet time alone for herself. It was not much to ask.
Therefore, without any care for the world, Lilac rested herself inside the secret cave, where Hunter showed her earlier and how
he teased her, thinking it was alright to make a joke like that.
It was fun for him, but for Lilac, it was a humiliation because she knew what she did was wrong, but she kept doing it anyway,
she was in vulnerable state, but all Hunter did was laughing at her. Great.
“Hm? It is very dark...” Lilac rubbed her eyes, she tried to see around her, but it was too dark, it alarmed her when she heard the
jarring sound echoed against the walls of the cave.
For a moment, she was trying to figure out what happened and where she was... but then, when her mind was clear enough and
she remembered the event with Hunter, she visibly relaxed.”
“I think I need to go back to the pack house now. I hope I still remember the way to get there...” Lilac mumbled to herself, as she
stood up. She stretched her b*dy and saw a flicker of light that came toward her way.
Someone was coming and Lilac stood there silently, until the fire from the torch illuminated her face and she squinted her eyes
because it was too bright and the light upsetting her sight.
There you are...
There was this a low growl, a mix of annoyance, relief and madness, and Lilac immediately recognized his voice. At this point,
she thought, she would be able to recognize his voice anywhere.

“Do you know what you have done?” Hunter asked, growling to be precise.
“Sleeping?” Lilac asked, the annoyance returned and she couldn’t help, but became a little bit sarcastic with him. More so, she
didn’t lie. She had been sleeping the entire time, what else she had done?
She just arrived last night and in such period of time there were a lot of things that happened, she didn’t even have time to take a
bath. Now, Lilac remembered how she had not yet taken a bath because Hunter didn’t allow her, she became even
more upset.
“Sleeping?” Hunter reiterated the word incredulously, as if Lilac just told him she just grew another pair of arms. “All this time you
have been sleeping?”
Lilac furrowed her brows. “I don’t need you to insult me again.”
Hunter shook his head. “My apologize if you feel like I am insulting you, that’s not my intention.”
“I doubt that.” Lilac took a deep breath and crossed her arms in front of her chest. She turned her head to look at somewhere
else.
Hunter wanted to speak again, but he didn’t think this was the right place to talk about it, more so, they needed to leave this
cave.
Let’s go
back to the pack house.” For now, he would drop the matter. They would talk more about it when Lilac was feeling better.

Seeing her upset like this, angry even, was way better than not seeing her at all. He would rather have her mad at him than to
not know where she was.
And now when she was already in front of him, all of his worried and his own anger had evaporated. All Hunter felt was relief to
see her fine..
“Let’s go back.” Hunter stretched out his hand, but Lilac didn’t want to take it, as she walked ahead of him. She didn’t go too
deep into the cave, so she could find her way out of here.
However, what she didn’t expect was the sight before her eyes when she stepped out of the cave. There were at least a
thousand people, each of them holding a torch, which the light of it could illuminate the night sky and turned the night into day
Lilac was speechless, she halted in her steps when all of them talked how glad they were to see her fine.

“Wh- what is this?” Lilac didn’t dare to take another step, as Hunter approached her from behind. “You mobilized your warriors to
look for me?”
“Isn’t that obvious?” Hunter asked. He put his hand on her shoulder.
“What?” Lilac felt her tongue became numb. She knew what happened, what she was seeing was enough confirmation what
Hunter had done, but why would he do this? This was... too much.
He didn’t need to mobilize his warriors to look for her, right? Why would he do that.
“You are missing, so I look for you.” Hunter stated that as if there was nothing wrong with his decision, but for Lilac it was not
common.
gone this far
No one ever had done this kind of thing, in her life, no one had ever go only to look for her.
When she was in the orphanage and she used to run away from there, the eldest wouldn’t even look for her, they would even
reprimand her when she returned.
And the same thing happened when she was very frustrated with her lesson with luna Jasmine, the luna didn’t even ask where
she had gone and only criticized her childish way to resolve problem by running away.
Hunter took her hand and then helped her to get down from the high rock.
“You don’t need to do this.” Lilac shook her head. She couldn’t believe Hunter would go this far. She was flustered and frustrated.
“I need to do more than this.” Hunter helped her to get down from the rock to the plain land, only then, he let go of her hand,
knowing the reason behind Lilac’s anger was because he couldn’t keep his hand on himself. “You are my woman and you have
gone missing in the forest that you only visited once when you are with me. That’s my responsibility to find you and bring you
back. That’s not even a question.”
Lilac frowned, she was not used with this kind of attention, though her heart was swollen with something warm that she couldn’t
explain. No one ever really cared about her wellbeing all this time.
See? Lilac hated it when she wavered like this again. She wanted to stay mad at Hunter, but it was hard when he gave her all
the attention and care she had never received before.

“I will ask someone to bring food for you, you must be hungry.” Hunter draped his
cloak over her shoulders to keep her warm.
