Chapter 10
WES
I’m a Beta male. I’m a strong, good looking Beta male. I got this.
I walk into the Alpha dorms. I check my clothes, my face and hair. I check my breath. Ok. Now, if I could stop sweating for five seconds.
I stop at her door. Coincidently, this used to be Greys old room when he was single. It’s weird picking my date up from it now.
I close my eyes and relax. Beta male. Beta male.
I look at her door. Fuck it. I’m an Alpha male. Screw Grey!
I knock on her door and wait.
The door opens to Mia.
I tilt my head. “Mia?”
She giggles and tosses her red bangs back. “Hi! Don’t you look good.” She smiles big.
I adjust my white button down. “Thanks. I think I clean up ok.” I give her a charming look.
“Yes, you do. Just like your brother.” She giggles.
“Ugh…I don’t what Grey in my head right now, M. Please.” I groan.
She giggles more. “Sorry. I’m helping Thea get ready. Grey said I should. She’s really cool.”
“Thanks.” I preen.
Mia looks in. “Just a second.” She shuts the door.
I lean to the door to try and hear what’s going on in there.
The door opens and I’m mere inches from big, heart stopping, brown eyes. I freeze instantly and my jaw drops. Her scent floats out and around my head. My eyes fall to her thick, full lips. Oh God. The temperature under my skin breaks thermostats.
She smiles. “Hi.”
I lean back quick and swallow. “Hi…um…hello. You look…wow…” I take everything in. She’s wearing a short, tight yellow dress with little yellow flowers on the straps. Her hair is pulled up and she has yellow bands every few inches all the way down to her ass. Her make up is soft and her long legs end in yellow heels.
She looks herself over. “Thank you. Mia helped me pick it out.”
I lean to her. “You chose perfectly.” I flash a really charming smile. “You ready to go?”
“Yes. I should tell you. This kind of is my first real date.” She scrunches her adorable nose.
I hold my arm out to her. “Don’t worry, you’re in good hands.”
She giggles and take it.
I turn to Mia. “Don’t wait up!” I wave to her.
“I’ll tell Grey!” She laughs and shuts the door.

I decided Feral would be a great spot to grab some drinks, talk and dance a bit.
Thea actually loved it. As it turns out, she’s still perfect.
I can’t find anything wrong with her. She likes everything I do. She likes the same music, the same books, the same places. She’s likes training and we carry almost the same moves. She laughs at my jokes and she’s funny too.
Should I be worried about this? I mean. She’s almost a female version of me. We’re practically the same person. I can’t find anything I don’t like.
“Wait. Trees have feelings. For real?” I tip my bottle back as I engage in a rather odd conversation about the energy in the forest behind us.
“Oh, yes. You can feel it. It’s like it wraps around you all the time and if you stand with your toes in the dirt, you can feel the trees. They sing to you.” She says.
“Sing. Through your toes.” I arch a brow.
She nods fast. “It’s fascinating really. Then if one gets hurt, all the rest will cry for it. It’s so sad.”
“Trees cry for other trees.” I think I found the wrong part. She’s a nature nut or something.
She looks around the bar. “You’d be surprised what you can hear and feel when you take the noise away. There’s so much people miss because they don’t listen.” She trails off as she watches the people dance in the club.
“I can see that. You wanna dance?” I try to see her face.
She looks at me. “I’d like that.”
I grab her hand and lead her to the dance floor. The Djs playing Sade. A nice slow song as a break.
I lead her to the floor and pull her to me. She’s small, but not too small to dance with. The clubs lights play in her hair and eyes. Her skin is so soft. I hold her hand in between us and my others on her back.
She’s so smooth and follows my lead perfectly. How could I possibly get this lucky? It feels too good to be true.
I stare into her eyes and I start to fall. I can feel it. Our bodies sway to the music. The surrounding couples already heat the place up, but it’s no match to the heat between us. I can’t put my finger on it. I’ve been attracted before, but this isn’t the same thing. There’s something about her that isn’t like other girls. I’m not sure if it’s the eyes or her skin or just the feel of her. She’s in my arms, but she still doesn’t feel real. It’s like I need more convincing that this woman in my head is in front of me right now.
I gaze at her as the song plays on. My heart thumps in my chest. I hear hers and I feel the soft skin of her back. I casually lick my lips and raise my hand to her cheek. My thumb gently glides across it as her lips lose their smile and it’s like she’s just as lost as I am.
I need to kiss her. She’s pulling me in. I slowly lean down to her lips. I feel the heat get even more intense the closer I get. I can almost taste her. She rises on her toes as my hand slips to the back of her head and I guide her to me.
I was so close. So there. The music, our bodies pressed together. The club even faded away.
Zzzzzzz…..
Something buzzes around my head.
I try not to lose the moment and swat it away. It comes back and hovers in my line of sight.
“What?” I lean back and swat at it. “Is that a bee?”
I see Thea smile. “It is.”
“What the hell is doing in here?” The bastard is pushing on me and he's going to get a beat down soon as I back up. “Go away!”
“She’s just lost. Wes. Hold still.” Thea says.
“What?” I look at.
“Stop moving.” She says.
I freeze and the bee buzzes around me all over.
“She’s looking for a place to land and get her direction.” She watches closely. So do I.
I arch back slightly as it lands on my shirt. “Get it off.” I say without moving a muscle.
She reaches up and guides the bee into her tiny hand.
“He’s going to sting you.” I grit.
“No. She won’t. She’s just as scared as you are.” Thea eyes me.
She raises her hand and the bee faces her. “I’ll take you home.” She speaks softly and almost with an airy voice.
I watch her gently cup the bee and she leaves.
“Thea?” I follow her through the dancers. “Thea!”
She’s moving quickly to the exit.
She pushes through the door.
I practically fall out and look around. Then I see her running across the lot. “THEA!” I chase after. This was not how I expected our first date to go.
She runs across the street to the trees. Where is she going?
She disappears into the trunks. I speed up and enter the forest where she went.
I stop and look into the dark forest. I call my wolf sight. “Thea? Where are you?”
“Here.” I hear her voice and follow it.
I find a path and Thea's on it. She still has her hands cupped in front of her. I jog to where she is. “What are you doing?”
“Come on.” She smiles. She motions me to follow her.
We walk for about 10 minutes when a grove of small trees appeared in a lull of the thick trees. It was a semi circle and the trees were around six feet each. She stopped in the center and looked up at the sky.
I look up to. “What are you looking at?”
“The moon.” She says. It was full and white. She falls to her knees and raises her hands to her face.
I fall to my knees beside her. I lean to her eyes. “Thea? What’s going on?” I’m getting kind of freaked out.
She turns her head to me. “Watch.” She looks to the trees.
I look to where she is and my eyes widen. The moons rays light the tops of the trees. The dark tops are dotted with white as something begins to happen.
I adjust my vision and like someone was sprinkling them, flowers appeared through the leaves. They covered the trees in a blanket. One by one like a wave, the flowers consume branch after branch.
My mouth falls open as the flowers themselves seem to shine. They cascade down each tree, swirl across the lower branches and down the trunks to the grass.
“Oh my god.” The area was brightened by them. Their scent was infectious. It was…just like…
My head turns to Thea as she smikes. She also seems to shine in all the white. She could never look more beautiful than she does right now.
“What are they?” I whisper.
She looks at me. “Moon flowers.” She turns back and lifts her hands flat to her chin. She uncovers the bee who is just sitting in the middle of her hand. She put the heel of her palm to her lips. “Go sleep, my friend.” She whispers in this sweet, dreamy tone. As if the bee understood, it flicked its wings a few times and flew up from her hand. It flew around us and then flew to the flowers.
My eyes look from the flowers to Thea. “Who are you?” My brows cinch up and my lips slowly drop.
She turns her body to mine. “I’m Thea.” She whispers as she smiles.
My eyes flick from her eyes to her lips and I grab her head, I pull her to me and my lips press against hers. My tongue glides across her lips and they part for me. My mind glows with her electric feel. My tongue tastes her and I take in her moon flower scent. The grove and the moon seem to get even brighter as I deepen the kiss. My mind is lost in Thea and her mystery. My body tingles all over. She holds my cheeks and I wrap my arms around her. I pull her to me and hold her tighter.
She moans in the kiss and I’m done. I’ve fallen. Her sounds are like a spirit calling me. Trapping me in some web. Thea caught me.
I pull back, dragging my lips across her bottom one.
“Come home with me.” I mumble on her lips as I play with them.
Her eyes are filled with lust and want. “Yes.” She mumbles back.
I kiss her again and pull her into my lap. My hands travel around her spectacular body. I hold her head as I kiss and suck her neck.
I’m getting extremely worked up and I scent her arousal over her scent. If we don’t leave now, I’m having sex in the woods.
I was about to suggest we leave when she pushes me back with a gasp, but she’s not looking at me.
I turn to where she’s looking. “Thea? What is it?”
She has panic all over her face. “Nothing…I…I must go…I’m sorry…”
“Thea?”
She scrambles to her feet and runs into the trees.
I look around and don’t see anything. “Thea?”
I see her up ahead and I chase her. I watch her yellow dress move around the trees. She’s running really fast. “THEA!”
She turned and I soon followed, but she wasn’t there. “Thea?” I spin in a circle, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, when I see something on the path. I walk up and pick up the yellow fabric. Her dress. I search the trees again. “THEA!!” I yell. There’s was no answer back.
I flop my hands to my sides. She just runs away? Are you kidding me?
I hear a twig snap and my head whips to a dark shadow area in the trees. I look for movement and I don’t see anything. I listen for a moment. A chill crawls across my skin.
My stalker. Did Thea see it? Can she see it?
What the hell just happened?
