Becoming strangers again (Lily and Ryan)

Chapter 182

LILY

The moment Ryan's car pulled over on the driveway, I skipped down the step, racing towards him with the widest smile.

He widened his arms, waiting for me with a smile as wide as mine. The moment I circled my hand around his waist, he lifted me off the floor and swirled me around.

He peppered kisses on my neck as he inhaled deeply. "I have missed you."

I know he wants to meet the boys but doesn't want it to make seem like they are the only ones he wants

to see. Pulling away, I grabbed his hand, dragging him towards the door.

The moment he opened it, Liam, Neo, and Ethan, who were still a bit sick because he caught a cold held onto printed words that read.

WELCOME HOME DAD.

Ryan paused, his eyes watering as he stared at them. "my boys..." he whispered, too emotional to make a move. I tapped his arm lightly.

"They are waiting for you."

He chuckled, closing the distance between them in three strides. He fell to his knees and pulled them into a big hug.

"I have rehearsed so many things I would say to you boys when you come home, and now I am

speechless." He pulled back and pecked their cheeks one after the other. "I am sorry I took so much time finding you all, and I am very very happy that you all are home, back to us."

Tears rolled down his cheeks, and as Liam reached forward to wipe it, I couldn't control my emotions. I knew I was going to cry even before the tears came.

"how about you go shower while I fix dinner."

Nodding, he kissed the boys one last time before walking away. Even as he walked up the stairs, he kept looking back to stare at them.

After dinner, we decided to sleep together, and since the bed wasn't that large enough to contain all five of us, we decided to build a pile with duvets.

While the boy slept in the middle, Ryan and I stared emptily at the television. "I am thinking of registering them for therapy." I mused.

He glanced at me and I nodded. "I think that would be a good idea."

We may not be able to understand the debt and trauma of what they went through. "How are things going with Maya?"

He sighed and placed his hands over

his head. His actions and body language told me that I needed to hold him so I got off my position and joined him at the other end laying my head on his chest. His hand's wrapped me into his embrace, proving that he really needed it.

"She confessed to killing my father." He revealed with a sigh. "I guess she was scared that I was going to use her to bait Clover, and knowing Clover, he won't hesitate to kill her and she knows it too."

"So she is facing a life jail term right?"

He shrugged. "Despite the fact that she killed my father and the fact that she instigated and suggested the kidnap of our sons to Clover, I do not know how the judge will rule if she pleads guilty."

"Murder and compliance to murder is a serious case. I am sure she is going to be in there for a very long

time."

"I am going to make sure both of them don't see the light of the day." Ryan vowed. "they will never taste freedom in their life again."

I don't think he needs to do much about Clover, because he just got out of prison only to commit another felony. "You think Clover is going to get caught soon?"

Ryan nodded. "he isn't going far."

The conviction with which he said it made me believe him.

"Every possible passageway for him

has been blocked, from the airport down to the seaport and I contacted someone to track him down. I am very positive that he will be in custody before the end of

week." over

I can't wait for all of this to be over. "Let's just go to bed." I coaxed, tightening my hold on his waist. "If we

look at it from the good aspect, I think all our problems are over."

He nodded, kissing my forehead. "they are indeed over."
