Chapter 30
“See? It was easy job, right?” said Kaydos sarcastically after forcing Rad to address that speech of give up the authority to Kaydos.
“But you don’t know what you did for yourself just now” said Rad with confidence.
“What do you mean?” Kaydos’s expressions changed from confidence to doubt.
“I mean everything you said was exposed to my people since the very beginning”
There was a temporary silence as Kaydos was trying to understand what he heard hoping that he just didn’t heard him right.
“Exposed to the people? Are you…are you lying to me? How you will did this” Kaydos said with a desperate laugh knowing that Rad wasn’t lie from his serious face expressions.
Kaydos now knew that his suspicions were right about the spy.
“No, I’m not lying to you…but Diana the transporter was transport everything happened since the guard came and took me to here…luckily she can’t only transport stuff but as you know she can transport information too”
“Diana the transporter?! This filth whore should’ve die starving” Kaydos’s face turned to red as he was yelling.
“You let her run away thinking that she will die anyway, but this was a mistake an experienced guy like you won’t fall for it” said Rad with a calm tone trying to provoke Kaydos.
“You mean that…they seeing us?”
“Every word”
Kaydos smiled: you’re lying…you just want to drive me crazy but guess what pretty boy…you’re not hurting me…you can’t do nothing…I taught you this games, kid”
“You don’t believe me? Why you don’t just watch what is happening there?”
“Let me see what is happening there…start a streaming from the eyes of watch” said Kaydos with a strong voice that does not indicate that he is an older gentleman.
When the screen in the royal room turned on he saw something that he never wanted to see; seas of people gathered in front of the huge screens in the streets, watching an old man watching a screen and Rad beside him.
“Damn, you weren’t lying after all, huh?”
“What do you think? Now you can do whatever you want but your little plan was blown off”
“Close all the eyes of watch on the ship” said Kaydos.
The big screens in Terra’s streets turned to black, but it was too late because these screens has just broadcasted an event will make an important impact in Terra’s people.
Kaydos, who knew that he was in a trouble in the size of the universe itself was walking left and right and Rad’s eyes were watching him closely. Kaydos’s thoughts were blurry, he didn’t know from where to start to fix this. He troubled himself and his soldiers with a strong enemy and here it goes; a major blow to the whole plan.
“How Diana did this?” said Kaydos with a calm tone that surprised Rad.
“Why you don’t ask her yourself?”
“What do you mean?”
Rad didn’t had a chance to say anything, a gate that was open wide in the space-time fabric and through this gate he lied his eyes on person so familiar to him.
“Diana? Y-you’re truly didn’t die”
Kaydos turned into a maniac in a royal outfit yelling, screaming and cursing.
“Bitch…you didn’t only exposed me…you destroyed your home...I’m not losing anything…I already lost my home”
“Don’t worry…we’re not dumb like your people”
A smile appeared on Kaydos’s face that seemed to be so fake: I’d never expect this day to come…but it seems I will live it myself.
Kaydos ordered to launch a fighter jet to take her strayed lifeship down and suddenely a pilot headed to his jet and launched to execute the order that was given to him.
Despite Rad was calm from the outside but he was absolutely worry over her as she was going to burn alive in that small ship.
“You will not ask me to stop” said Kaydos arrogantly but Rad didn’t answer him so Kaydos raised the stakes: if you kneeled before me saying ‘please don’t do it’ I will cease the order.
But Rad was still silenced and an empty look over his face.
“Your lover fate is in the palm of your hand…you will let her die that easy?” Kaydos was practicing cold mind games on Rad, no one could do such mind games except madmen.
“I know that you still love her despite she didn’t chose you...is that mean that you hate her now?” Kaydos continued his harsh cold mind games to provoke Rad’s pride but he was still silenced keeping the outside calmness.
Meanwhile…
Manod was watching everything was happening like he is in the royal room with them. He was impressed by the confidence that Kaydos has to talk down to Rad but he also knew it was too dangerous.
“What is this buster doing is pretty bad…it’s like missing with a solar bomb” said Manod to himself as he watched through Rad’s eyes in his royal room.
“What a stubborn kid…it’s up to you anyway…you still have a chance” Kaydos said to Rad whose was still using his pride as a shield against Kaydos’s games.
Kaydos was on his way out of the room before Rad called him with his eyes looking to the ground: wait…I’ll do it.
Kaydos turned his head not believing that the mighty Rad surrendered that easy and will give up his pride for the woman that made him suffer.
“Alright big guy, finally you admit it that someone can break you” said Kaydos as he was walking back to Rad filled with ego and pride because of his physiological victory over Rad.
It was a critical moment for Manod to watch, because Rad threw away the most precious thing for him and it’s his pride.
Kaydos stood before the kneeled Rad. Kaydos never imagined that his former king will kneel before him like he did in the past with him, his father, and his mother. And Rad was thinking the same way, he never imagined that he will be in the same humiliating situation like he did with the leaders of the kingdoms that he conquered.
“Please…don’t do it” said Rad with a low submitted tone. “I did what you wanted me to do…now it’s your turn to do what you promised me” said Rad as he was looking straight to his eyes but Kaydos had another plans in his mind.
“What promise? I didn’t promise you anything”
Rad’s face turned to red and his vines almost exploded: you…liar…you cheater…now this is a promise…I will burn you, Kaydos.
Kaydos just smiled a mean smile and ordered the guards to bring him back to his cell.
“What have you got yourself into, idiot?” said Manod as he was watching Kaydos taking this rivalry to a whole new level.
Manod was thinking that the rage blinded Kaydos and made this unreasonable decision of provoking the mighty Rad forgetting that the cuffs never would be a problem for a man who can crush neutron stars with his bare hands, and he was right, he could’ve easily feel Rad’s angry energy flow all the way from the moon to the boundaries of the solar system.
The knocking on the door caused Manod to lose his train of thought. “Come in” said Manod.
“My lord, I have good news for you” said Raman kneeled on the ground.
