FLASHBACK

I made my way towards the classroom which was across from the principal's office and staff room. When I glanced in front of the principal's office there,

the 3 of them standing there with their fingers pinching their ears casually like they are not been punished while chatting and giggling shamelessly.

I would have been surprised if they weren't punished for using the announcement room. But as we can see, punishment is a reward in disguise for them as they can bunk the classes and they are enjoying it either than feeling guilty for the mistake. No wonder they are infamous throughout the school. Well, it has nothing to do with me.

May looked at me, nudged Adik with elbow and eye gestured towards me. Adik's intense brown eyes meet mine and for some reason I wasn't able to remove my stare until he winked at me with an amused smirk.

My eyes went wide with blood rushing into my face making my face look red with blush, I turned and ran away to my classroom. Why did I blush by his simple wink? Is it natural to react this way the first time? Then the whole day neither I was able to study nor the teacher's single word reached my ears.

After this, I understood one thing that, he is a terrific distraction. Better maintain distance because final exams are no joke and I did exactly.

For the next one month, I studied and prepared myself like nothing and soon my exams were over. I felt like I was a free bird who can fly away anywhere after my last exam. Now I just have to wait for my results.

The practice for the drama started the next week and today was our first practice day. I reached the school before the scheduled time and the school looks so calm, nothing like normal school days. Everyone must be sleeping away on their holidays. All serene, I think I'm the first here.

I was walking down the hallway towards the dance hall and I heard whistling, it was a pleasant melody. Oh wow!, I like it.

But wait.... This whistling is done by a human, I'm the only human present here because the security guard is on the far away gate. I didn't whistle. Oh silly me! It may be my imagination, but why can I still hear it?

Should I just turn and check around? No, I'm not that brave. Let's keep walking till I reach my destination. I'm near the door of the hall and the whistling is still going on with several intervals. Will it follow me? Just as I was about to enter, two cold hands wrapped over my eyes following with my shrill scream.

"Hey! Why are you screaming? I'm not gonna choke you." It was Aira who is grinning with surprise. "Were you whistling right now?"

"I hope you didn't forget that I don't know how to whistle." She told with her eyebrow raised.

Yes, she is right. Then who? Leave it! Let's not discuss anymore or I will get crazy.

We entered the hall soon followed by other members.

"Where did Saina remain? Why isn't she still here?" Aira asked looking around in the hall.

"How do you know Saina is in the drama?" I asked not understanding, when did they know about this.

"The list of students in drama is on the class board, but you ran straight out after the last exam." She explained with my response as hmmm.

Soon I heard commotion in the hall and without a doubt, I knew who has arrived.

It was no other than Disha, the

popular girl for attending every party in the alley. There wasn't a single person she didn't know in the area everyone was acquainted with

has this group of girls behind, which are like 6 to 7 girls always following what Disha says. I never heard them having their own opinion.

I never talk to her much because she doesn't likes me and I don't know her reason. But for me is her height, she is much taller than me. I feel intimidated by her height and she is impolite with indulgence in bullying. So better not cross paths with her.

After a while at last the teacher arrived, Mr. and Mrs. Bose.

"Good morning everyone! So as we all know why we have gathered here. I'll get straight to the point. The farewell day will be at the end of this month. So we have approximately 3 weeks for our preparation. So we have to be very regular and the timings will be 8:30 morning to 5:30 in the evening with two 30 minutes breaks and frequent intervals. Supporting characters have assigned dates but main leads are regular. And also a special and important guest is joining us so we

have to be perfect. Understood everyone?" Mrs. Bose asked and we

agreed with her.

"So let's get into our main characters first. The names I call out please stand step forward from the rest." Teacher glanced at me and continued

"The female protagonist, Belle is to be played by keya. And..." She appeared like searching for someone.

"Where's Prince Adam? Isn't he informed?" She asked.

"Present teacher!"

I heard the voice, recognized and no time he was standing beside me. But no! I didn't want to face him and more like in this situation as a partner. But why?

"There he is. So our prince Adam's character will be played by, Adik." She announced and my mind was jumbled with thoughts. Like it was less Disha interrupted in between.

"Teacher, why is Keya getting the main role? Why not me or other girls?" If you want you can have my role Disha, I would prefer to sleep in the morning more. This is my internal thoughts which I want to badly express.

"Disha, it's not the time to learn slowly it's time to act fast. If you are capable of it then you are welcome to take the role but the condition is perfect in no time. Are you considering it?" Mr.Bose asked.

I thought she would agree and readily take the role. But to my surprise, she backed off and left the hall accompanied by her group saying she can't be regular so she isn't taking part in the drama. But she isn't the type to give up so easily. Well, surely today is full of surprises.

I was still standing beside Adik while the teacher is calling out rest of the names.

"So how are you, my girlfriend?" He leaned down to my level and whispered in my ears.

I turned my head to find him staring at me intently. It's been over a month, I thought he might have forgot about me. I turned my head back staring straight, wanting to avoid him.

"Reply my babe" he demanded

my hands with a shocking glare at him and checking that teachers didn't notice. My cheeks are burning with red. What's with my heart? Why it's beating like bursting out. I can't help but feel shy. But how courageous of him! What if the teacher had saw us! Reckless!

"Don't talk to me! Don't come near me! I'm not your girlfriend!" I finally said it. The reason I don't want to face him because his actions affects me,

his presence stirs bizarre feelings inside me. I never knew I had this sort of perceptions and reactions. I don't want him to make this everything superficial.

"Adik and Keya, come here and collect your scripts then we will discuss about the scenes." Teacher called our names and I ran away first to escape his damn enchantment trap.000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
