Back and Stronger: Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 85

Neil’s lips were gentle as a leaf on the wind, and hot like the sun against hers. He would suck her bottom lip tenderly, taking his time, then suddenly it was like he wanted to claim her hungrily all at once, taking the whole of her mouth inside his with a deep groan. His hold on her face would suddenly be ardent and possessive but would then switch to warm and affectionate, as if he was reminding himself to hold back.

He would be al bestial, raw hunger. Fire and lust one moment, then gentle, indulgent, warm, and sensual. She felt him starving, starving for just one taste of her, then the cycle would start again.

Sophia enjoyed every single moment of his lips moving against hers, whether they were slow or fast, patient or rushed, but he seemed to be waging an internal battle with himself. Both of them were. She was afraid of herself too. These feelings that soared through her body like on the wing of a hawk were overwhelming. She was afraid that if she released the beast she felt raging within her, wanting to claim him as urgently and as much as he seemed to want to claim her, that she would lose all control. She was afraid of losing control. The physical part was too tangled with the emotions of her heart.

He was shaking with the effort of holding on to his restraint as their lips and tongues danced and tangled with and against each other. Sophia closed her eyes in delight as Neil’s strong fingers snaked through her hair, massaging her scalp as he pulled his mouth away from her lips to explore down her jawline. He was licking, sucking, and kissing, harshly. Then lightly, going back and forth between intensity levels. No wonder both were breathing raggedly by this point, Sophia thought, frustrated but loving it at the same time. Especially as his mouth ardently explored her neck, creating the most exquisite sensations there, and sending it down to her aching need for him. Sophia lifted her chin to give him better access there as he smelled, kissed, and even nibbled her sensitive skin, causing her to gasp in pleasure. She heard herself moan when he took the bottom of her earlobe in between his teeth, bit down on it lightly and then sucked. Holy fuck, that felt good…

She could feel him smiling in satisfaction that he was able to make her moan so easily. Moving down to her collarbone, he traced the line there with his nose, smelling as he went, featherlight again after he practically ravaged her neck. Sophia felt like she couldn’t take it anymore. He needed to choose what he wanted to be, though she didn’t know which one she preferred either. She just knew she wanted him urgently, to be swept up in a whirlwind with him, while wanting it to last and be a night she would remember and dream about for the rest of her life. He stopped for a moment at where her silver crescent moon mate mark was and kissed it so tenderly, that she felt her heart lift on a tidal wave, just as his eyes came up to hers with a question in them as the fire from the fireplace burned along with another fire raging behind those beautiful bronze eyes of his.

He didn’t need to voice it, for Sophia could see it there loud and clear, plus she could feel that question as though she was asking it herself.

“I want you, baby,” he said, leaving the choice up to her. “We can stop, all you have to do is say it, and we can stop here, but I need you as badly as I need my next breath.”

“I’m not scared anymore.”

His eyes darkened and her breath shuddered in her chest.

“You’re in control, baby. Whatever you want,” he whispered feather kisses along her shoulder and down toward her breath as he said the words. “Whatever you need.”

“I want you,” her breath hitched. “I need you. Only you.”

She felt the truth and certainty of it, so when he asked again if she was sure, she didn’t answer. She took his mouth with hers, the hunger, the passion so overwhelming white lights flashed before her eyes. She wanted him so badly she ached with the desire to feel him become one with her. She was so sure that she didn’t flinch when Neil erupted. There was simply no other way to explain it because that’s what he did. His restraint a thing of the past–as well as her own–not needing any further invitation, or permission, as they unleashed themselves onto each other.

She arched her hips, meeting him thrust for thrust. The sensations of him filling her left her tingling with pleasure and she wanted more. He drove her to the point of what she couldn’t explain, then brought her back down with sensual caresses. She knew by his moans, and his whispering her name that he was losing control, yet he was holding back. He drove her to the top again, and her thighs clenched around his hips, that was all it took, and he rolled so she straddled him. She moaned softly as he went into the depths of her being, deep, hard. He grabbed her hips and pushed to meet her, joining them so completely she closed her eyes and tried to hold onto the sensations. He pulsed, faster, harder and her body started to hum, a steady increasing urgency she couldn’t explain. She rode him, taking every inch of him he had to give and then she soared. The room spun and she clamped down on him like a vice. That was all he needed to let go and with one powerful thrust he let himself go.

He held her steady until their breathing settled, then he pulled her into the crook of his arms. He placed gentle kisses on her eyes, the tip of her nose, and then her lips.

“Thank you.”

She snuggled closer.

“For?”

“For giving me that gift. Watching you was the single most beautiful thing in this world, and you shared it with me.”

She was saved from having to respond when his lips touched hers, softly, sensually.

They soon slipped into a pattern of sorts, but she relished every night that she spent in his arms as he taught her about her body and his.
