Chapter Storm 2
WREN
__________
6 months since Kassidy's death. . .
Time. What is it? Is it the thing that keeps going without end? That's what I feel like, but just a bit more dead inside.
All of the blood I carried on my hands was just another thing I had gotten used to over these past couple months.
Ever since she died.
All of the people he had me go out and kill, it didn't matter.
Its to the point where I actually started to like killing people.
It was my outlet of letting all of my pent up anger and depression run free while it lingered in the back of my mind. Trying to claw its way out with its dark, sticky fingers.
The darkness was even clouding Riot too.
He growled and snapped at anything and anyone when he was let out.
Stylo has this special spell up his sleeve that bring out the wolf in everyone without their permission.
And that's what he did to me and Riot.
He brought Riot forward and had him under his mind controlling spell and made him do all of his dirty work.
From simple pack members that got on his nerves to innocent humans that had glanced in his direction.
He was running wild.
I sat back with all of Riot's emotions as he's killing those people. All of his anguish as he had to kill his people, his community all in the name of an evil bastard that killed his father figure and led the death of his mate.
Speaking of mates, I felt small sizzles in the back of my mind. Like someone was reaching out to a bond link that used to be there.
Somedays, the bond would set on fire with life, then sizzled out like it was drenched in water.
I could feel her.
Faint remnants of her aura and spirit were somewhere in the air.
I sigh and lean my head back on the cold, concrete cell wall.
It smelled like piss and rotting bodies down here.
Water dropped from a pipe nearby, the noise was annoyingly lulling to my ears.
There were two windows, both barred, with enchanted bars of course.
There was no way out of here.
Well, except for the one way door that was a few cells down. If I would just use my powers, I would've busted me and Anais out of here already.
But I can't.
Not when I'm like this.
Plus those shots of that damn syrup, elixir, shit that Stylo pumps into me constantly won't make it any easier if I tried.
I'll come back to get Kash and Ben since they would be under the mind control still.
Jordan and Kassandra weren't missed that much to be honest, they had stopped spending time with us on their own before all this happened.
It would be nice if I were to actually help them escape, huh?
Then what?
Just leave them there, because they were still under the mind control magic.
I looked across the hallway to see Anais sleeping with the chains still wrapped onto her wrists. We've gotten closer over these past couple of months.
She's been the optimist in this situation, always telling me how everything will be okay and how we'll get out and find Kassidy.
Wherever she is. . .
__________
"Wake up, Baby! We're gonna have a great and productive day today." That annoying voice scratched into my ear drums.
I cracked open my eyes and see Brayden in nicer clothing today. An off the shoulder blue flowered sundress and wedges.
Where the hell is she going?
Not that I cared much, but she hasn't worn anything this nice since all of this shit started.
"What do you want, you stupid bitch?" I smirked and rolled my eyes at her. She just giggled and stuck a key into my cell door and unlocked the cell.
"I wanted us to talk for a while, that's it. Maybe we could go on a walk around the city for a bit?" A hopeful look shown in her eyes.
I smiled at her and nodded my head.
I'll kill you.
She stepped into my cell, the key's reflection off the light hits my eyes. My arm comes up and covers my eyes from the harsh glint. Brayden stands above me and unlocks the chains over my head. Then she squats down, looking me in my eyes with a different glint in her eye now.
Hunger.
She crashed her glossed lips to mine and kissed ferociously against my still lips. I felt disgusted by her even being in the same cell as me, let alone her kissing me.
But this was perfect.
It was my chance to escape.
I reached deep into the back of my mind. I needed this to work. This is my only chance of probably ever getting out. I dug around in my mind, passed all of the memories, the shame, the disgrace, the hate.
And I found my powers.
The familiar hum wasn't as strong as I thought it would be, which was okay by all means. It meant that I could get this over with, with as little damage and scene making as possible.
I let the ice flow from my lips to hers.
It was a bit shaky since I haven't used my ice in a while, but it worked.
I stopped my flow of frost as she slowed down her kissing. I let out one last short blast of frost into her mouth and watched as her eyes fluttered close when she fell back and hit the floor.
Over time, I began to be able to see through the Astral Projections of Brayden and the Alpha. So now, I knew that this one was the real her.
Since she undid my chains that were sealed into the wall, I could move around with the chains I had on my wrist. The cabin in my wrists was long enough to get the job done.
I look over at her neck, the frost was making its way through her system. Freezing over her blood cells to kill her slowly. It wasn't enough to kill her, but enough to stunt her.
I reached over for her and grabbed a chunk of her hair, pulling her cold body to mine as I wrapped the long chain around her throat.
Looping one end of the chain around her throat, I kicked her back forward and pulled each of my chained wrists back as her air flow was being cut off. She small choking noises as I pulled harder and harder.
Music to my ears.
My eyes most likely changed color as my powers slowly cane out and flowed through my body again.
Once I determined I had enough of my strength back, I pulled back, and kicked her body further away from mine as I waited to hear that sickening crack of her neck.
I felt my body buzzing with the bloodlust as I couldn't wait anymore for her neck to break.
I can feel it coursing through my veins.
And I loved every second of it.
Without any hesitation of releasing my powers, I elongated my canines and claws and latched my canines onto her throat and bit through her skin. Giving it a shake like a rabid dog, I ripped her throat out with my own bared teeth as her body fell forward and blood pulled on my cell floor.
I looked across the hall to see Anais waking up. Her eyes flinched at the bright lights on the ceiling as she wiped the sleep from her eyes.
"Wren?" Her voice croaked. I stood up, grabbed the key that laid near Brayden's now dead body and walked out of my cell and into hers.
She looked into my cell and back to me with wide eyes. "You actually did it." She cried.
She was so weak right now. She only lost a few pounds but she needs those back.
But I'll have to worry about that later.
"Don't say that too soon, we gotta get you out of here." I stuck the key into her cell lock and twisted.
The cell door creaked at the hinges as it opened up. I stepped inside and stood over her as I unlocked the chains above her head.
"What are you planning, Wrennie?" Anais asked with a small smile on her face.
I smirked and undid the chains on her wrists, then mine.
"We're blowing this popsicle stand."
