It's a good thing that we have a kitchen here and downstairs, it's convenient for me and my dad. Especially when we are too busy with work and can't even go downstairs to eat something.

While waiting for the water to boil, kumuha rin ako ng isang gatas at kape. I can't sleep without drinking milk. Hindi ko alam kung gaano ka tamis ang gusto ni Wayde sa kape niya. I just put the cream in the wooden tray and put some spoon and a wooden coaster for me to put in the glass.

Nang matapos ay kaagad kong nilagay ang tray sa dining cart. Tulak-tulak ko ang cart patungo sa balcony. When I went back there, Wayde's now reading the paperworks and his laptop is off. He's facing the myriad lights outside while continuing to read the documents. Bahagya pa siyang napapakunot ng noo dahil sa ginagawa.

"Wayde," tawag ko sa kanya.

Lumingon siya sakin at mukhang nagulat pa nga sa presensya ko. Ininguso ko ang dala-dala kong inumin at nilapag iyon sa center table. It's still hot kaya maingat kong kinuha ang wooden coaster kasabay ng baso sa ibabaw niyon "It's getting late."

Nilapag niya ang mga papeles sa sariling lamesa at tinanggal ang reading glasses niya. Wayde reached out for the mug and put a little amount of cream before stirring it. Kinuha ko rin yung akin at sumimsim roon.

"I just finished some of the dues today since I'm not in the office to work on it. It's getting late, why are you still up also?" sumimsim muna ako sa mug bago sumagot.

I'm starting to feel cold also because of the windy atmosphere. Hindi sapat ang sweater na suot ko para hindi makaramdam ng lamig.

"I just finished the reports today. There were lots of adjustments and need to be fixed. It's a hell of a comeback."

"Hang on there, Celestia. It'll end soon." Tumango ako. I hope so.

"I already talked to your dad a while ago," pagpapatuloy niya.

"Anong sinabi niya?"

"As usual, the reaction I expected. But he understood, there's no point of keeping it from you. Your father will be coming back after a week of business trip."

I pursed my lips. "I guess... I'll be alone for a week then." I shook my head and chuckled lightly. "Except for the fact that I need to deal with lots of paperworks. I'll really spoil myself with lots of good movi- what are you doing?" napatigil ako sa pagkukwento nang lumapit siya sa akin.

Hindi ako sumagot at hinayaan siyang laruin ang daliri ko. He was massaging my palm and sometimes measuring my ring finger.

"You're hard to resist but I'm doubting the first one."

"Wayde!" angal ko at mahinang hinampas ang balikat niya. Mabilis naman niyang sinakop ang kamay ko ng kamay niya at pinagsiklop iyon. "Just kidding, wife."
