Chapter 9 She is my wife
Ella Hill ignored him, opened the door and went in.
Devin Hunter was hanging out, looking at Ella Hill as she entered, then he followed Ella Hill in.
After Ella went in, she began to go to the bedroom to pack up.
Devin watched as she packed up and wandered around the living room from balcony to the study.
The room is about eighty square meters, not big, but the layout is simple and warm.
On the balcony there was a pair of rattan chairs and a round glass tea table with a basin of cactus on it.
Devin tried touching the prickles of the cactus, and then returned to the living room. Suddenly, he saw a picture frame beside the
TV.
And the picture in the frame was taken more than twenty years ago.
In the picture, There were a woman in police uniform and a man in casual clothes, with a girl in his arms, they were looking at the
camera with a smile.
Men looked at women with gentle eyes and raised lips.
Devin looked at the young woman in the picture, and there seemed to be something flashing in her mind.
But he couldn't remember what it was, so stared at the picture and didn't move.
Ella packed up her clothes and dragged out the suitcase. She saw Devin frowning at the last photo of her parents and herself.
She took off the photo frame and put it in the suitcase. Carefully wrapped it in her clothes.
Devin looked at the frame put in so heartily that he twisted his eyebrows: "Is it your parents?"
"Well." Ella responded, and then began to pack up the things in the living room.
But she didn't pack a lot, just put a album and some frames in the Li box.
Devin waited for her to pack up, he asked, "Is your mother a policeman?"
"Well." Ella felt a little pain as being stabbed in her heart.
Devin looked at her cold face and did not ask any more questions.
Just as she closed her suitcase, he suddenly said, "I'll take good care of you."
Ella heard Devin's warm words and looked at him strangely.
Devin's deep eyes were staring at her.
When their eyes met, suddenly an excitement came to her mind. Then she turned her eyes away and said, "I'm ready."
"Let's go home then."
Ella listened to Devin, wiping her lips slightly and savoring it in her heart.
We... Go home...
After losing her father who loved her only, she felt that she had no home, because no one would wait for her at home anymore.
No one will ever come home with her again.
Now, is the man who just married her will give her a home?
She looked at Devin, wiped her lips, and said softly, "OK."
Devin's home in the beautiful garden is an upscale area built the year before last, because it is almost nine o'clock when he
returns, so the security guard saw Devin smiled and asked, "How late is Mr. Hunter coming back today?"
“Well.”Devin nodded and responded coldly.
The old guard didn't feel embarrassed. He was probably accustomed to Devin's perennial cold face, but when he saw Ella, he
gave a strange sneeze and said, "Is this Mr. Hunter's girlfriend?"
When Devin heard the security guard ask, he glanced at Ella's calm face and said, "She is my wife."
The security guard inside the security booth was surprised to Devin's answer.
When Devin Hunter drove away, the guard just realized, "I didn't hear that Mr. Hunter has girlfriend. Why suddenly there is a
wife?"
The security guard couldn't understand. Ella over there listened Devin told people she was his wife, so she asked him, "Is that all
right?"
"It doesn’t matter." Devin turned the car into the garage with a cold face and stopped. "You've all got my certificate, so naturally
you have the right to let others know that you're my wife, and the people won’t make me more trouble."
"Trouble?" Ella thought for a moment before she said, "Introduce other girls to you?"
"Well." Devin Hunter opened the door and said to her, "Come on, let’s go home."
