Chapter 10
After Alpha Max left for the day, Carmeta spend a few minutes doing a quick tidying up before Delta Finn called her to inform her that he would be coming to pick her up at eleven o'clock. Which gave her enough time to invite and have a conversation with Stephanie about losing her virginity to her mate. She was both nervous and excited about the endeavor. Suppose she wasn't good at pleasing him, considering that the closest thing she ever got to that topic was through erotica novels, porn, and Maya's elaborate stories. Besides, she doubt he was anything close to inexperienced. That train of thought was leading her to a place of anger that she didn't want to go down. It would be unfair for her to get angry at what he did before he met her, even though she was thoughtful enough to wait until she met him.
A knock on the front door jarred her out of her thoughts as she slipped the last of the button on her dress close.
"I'm coming" she shouted and walked quickly to the door. "Stephanie, thanks for coming" she opened the door and stepped aside for her to enter.
"It's no problem. It's quite a relief because Miles refuses to make me venture anywhere without him, so I'm surprised that he said yes to me coming here by myself." Stephanie said as she beamed with love and annoyance.
"I would probably stab Max if he tried that with me." She said as she closed the door and lead Stephanie to the living room. "But I probably would have preferred him to be clingy than absent. All he seems to do is work, I mean what could be so important that he couldn't spend today with me?"
"According to what I could get from Miles, there is something big that has all the alphas working together. He refused to go into details but it seemed pretty troubling."
"I would have to insist that Max tells me what is going on when he gets home. After all, I'm the Luna of this pack, it's my right to know."
After offering Stephanie some ginger lemon tea with sugar cookies, that Lilith made, they both cozied up by the fireplace chatting away. Stephanie told Carmeta about her very exploratory adventures with Miles in the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, basically their entire apartment, including against their door outside of their apartment.
"How did you find time to do all of that? We just got here yesterday!"
"Well he did a lot of sneaking away from work, so the majority of them were quickies and he just caught me wherever I was in the apartment. The door one was before I got here, the Beta almost caught us but he was polite enough to wait until we were done before he left his apartment."
"Did you get any sleep?"
"Sleep?" Stephanie chuckled "I doubt I got two hours of sleep. The man is insatiable with a ravenous appetite." She ended with the brightest shade of red that her pale-ish skin could provide. "I'm sore in all the right places and exhausted but looked forward to doing it all over again. But what about you? Did you guys do anything fun?"
"That's why I called you over here. I've never done it with anyone before..."
"Wait what?!" Stephanie said as she sat up straight so fast that she almost spilled her tea. "I thought that was impossible due to it being extremely painful during the heat"
"It is but I was on the shots but you've met my brothers and dad. They would have probably killed whoever I matched with who wasn't my mate. Plus I wanted to save myself for Max."
"That's sweet and honorable of you. Did you tell him that?"
"I didn't plan to. I don't want him to know that I lack experience" Carmeta said, hanging her head low and twisting her fingers together.
"Are you kidding me? You're like the optimum treasure in exotic fruits for men, especially considering that wolves are extremely territorial, he would love to hear that."
"But what if I can't please him?"
"Sweetie, half his pleasure will come from him teaching you how. Don't worry too much about it. Just let loose and enjoy yourself. Follow your instincts and once he gets out of it you will enjoy watching him be at your mercy. It's quite an empowering act. Besides after the bonding ceremony and he marks you, you two will become one, therefore you will just know what's going on in his brain. But I suggest you do it before your heat cycle comes."
"Are you going to turn?"
"Well yes. We plan on doing it after the bonding ceremony."
Carmeta asked her different intimate questions that she couldn't ask her best friend, who would say "Just do it. Ride that man like a pony!" or her mom because that would be awkward. Stephanie answered each of her questions with a valid answer or told her it was for her to discover for different males liked different things and that he would teach her, which made her blush. Stephanie left her apartment around 10:15, which gave her forty-five minutes to finish getting ready to leave. She slipped on a beautiful burnt orange summer dress that clung to her waist and highlighted her generous bosoms. She wore white sneakers with it and pulled her unruly curly hair into a messy top bun. When she was finished, she walked around the room and made a mental note of all the changes she would like to make before a knock was heard from the door.
Delta Finn stood at the door at exactly eleven o'clock sharp. He was a handsome Black Asian man with the demeanor of a shy but professionally polite person who insisted on calling her by her formal title, even though she for the past five minutes had told him to call her Carmeta or even Car. They went down the stairs and were greeted by Lilith, who told them lunch was going to be served at one so they shouldn't be late.
Delta Finn, as promised, showed her the entire security system that wasn't only for the pack but also for the neutral territories and the pack businesses. Carmeta was so engulfed in the entire thing, making mental notes of areas that needed improvements and meeting the cyberteam which consisted of four nerdy teens. One was 16, two were 18 and the head was a 19-year-old, who was more excited about the fact that the Luna knew what she was talking about in cybersecurity. He often tried his best to explain things to Alpha Max, and Delta Finn but they seem to never get why they needed to spend an arm and a leg on an AI system that would interrupt cyber attacks. But with the Luna's knowledge, he was sure they would get whatever supplies they needed.
"I could build a special firewall for the entire system and definitely get Darktrace."
"I've been trying to get the alpha and delta to sign off on that expenditure for years."
"Well, I'm sure if I explain things to Max he would get it."
"Of course, he would. You're his Luna!"
That comment made Carmeta uncomfortable, if Max wanted he could easily tell her no, as was his right, whether she was his mate or not. Nevertheless, if he did she could easily use her savings to get it. That was the benefit of having loving brothers and a father, they absolutely refused for her to use her own money to purchase anything and insisted she saved every penny from her paycheck.
Both she and Delta Finn didn't realize that they skipped lunch until his phone rang which was around two o'clock. He answered it and spoke briefly before handing it to her.
"Hello?"
"Car, it's me."
"Oh hello," she said with a smile.
"Why did you skip lunch?"
"I did?" She said and stared up at the clock on the wall which showed that she indeed skipped lunch and had been working for the last two and a half hours. "Oh I didn't realize, I was so caught up in trying to fix your cyber system that food was the last thing on my mind. Oh my gosh, these poor guys and Finn, they must be starving and I had them working to the bones." She said as she looked at the guys and delta Finn, feeling guilty for keeping them from eating.
"Don't worry about it, I already had Lilith sending something over for you guys."
"Thank you so much."
"In the future try to remember to eat. I'll be back in time for dinner."
"Okay see you then." the call ended just as Peter came by with multiple dishes of food for everyone.
"I encourage you to not miss a meal for my sake. I love my mate but she can be a real nag when it comes on to someone neglecting food. It's bad enough that the alpha does it all the time and these tech kids but don't let her add you to her naughty list." Peter said with a love-filled voice. Carmeta suspected that he just didn't want his mate to fuss over people not eating because it would make her upset.
After wrapping up eating and working on the cyber system a little more, Carmeta decided to call it a day and go back to her apartment, after all, Delta Finn spent almost the entire day with her and she was sure he had better things to do than babysit her.
"Thanks for today Delta Finn."
"It was no problem at all Luna Carmeta and feel free to call me Finn." He said as he escorted her to the pack house entrance.
"I'll start doing that the day you call me Car or even Carmeta"
"You enjoy the rest of your day and if you need to go anywhere else on the property, please use an escort. My number is saved in the landline speed dial, just press four." He said then did a bow before walking off. "Luna Carmeta"
"Cheeky bugger," she said with a chuckle.
"Oh, there you are!" Lilith came bustling towards her.
"Here I am!" Carmeta said, turning towards her.
"Come come! We need to discuss your bonding ceremony." She said, capturing Carmeta's arm and leading her to the kitchen. She sat her down in front of a slice of freshly baked peach pie. "Here you go. Eat!" She said as she handed Carmeta a fork. Carmeta didn't have the heart to refuse, even though she was still stuffed from her late lunch.
"I'm not sure what I want to do or what to do to plan one for I've never planned one before nor was I allowed to attend." She knew exactly why Alpha Chadwick banned her and her friends from attending those events, it was because the last pack event they went to ended in more than half the attendees hospitalize and a wasp nest stuck in a place that shall not be named. "So would you mind helping me? I know it's a lot to ask and at such short notice."
"Oh, I would love to," Lilith said with excitement. "In fact, my friends and I will plan everything don't worry. Is there anything you want?"
"No. Anything you guys plan will be fine. I'm just grateful."
