Hunter frowned. "This has nothing to do with Mia. It's about your health. You need rest! Working is too exhausting, and if anything happens to the baby, it would be a serious issue."

Hearing this, Jenna felt a surge of sweetness in her heart and gave him a shy smile. "Thank you for caring about me, Hunter. But if I don't work and just stay home every day, I'd get bored. What if I fall into depression?"

"You could always go shopping with friends, have afternoon tea, or get a spa treatment. With people around you, you won't feel lonely," Hunter suggested, his focus entirely on Jenna's well-being.

"You know," she continued, her eyes filling with tears, "after Zane passed away, Mabel only gave me a house, a car, and two hundred thousand dollars. When I was with the dance troupe, I had my own income and didn't have to worry about money. But now, with the pregnancy and without the troupe's job, if I don't work, I can't even afford a decent outfit, let alone tea and outings with friends."

Hunter raised an eyebrow. "I'll talk to my mother."

He had never concerned himself with the division of Zane's assets, but he hadn't expected his mother to be so stingy.

Jenna looked at him with feigned alarm. "Hunter, Mabel is very proud. If she finds out I told you this, she'll throw me out of the family! Then I'd not only have to hire my own helper, but also pay all my living expenses. That would make things even harder for me!"

"Summer, have you eaten yet? Let's grab a bite together!"

On her way, Summer called to let her know she had already arrived and gave her the table number.

Mia headed straight upstairs. When she spotted Hunter and Jenna, she suddenly remembered his earlier call mentioning they were having lunch at Opal House)

It was too late to turn back now, so she gathered her emotions, pretending not to see them as she walked

past.

But someone wasn't about to let her slip by unnoticed,

"Mia, you're here! Come sit and join us!" Jenna's gentle voice rang out. Mia took a deep breath and kept walking.
