Chapter 9: Meeting The Enchanting Man Again
After getting the answer she wanted, Michelle thanked Nadia and excused herself.
As she walked back to the emergency department, she couldn't help but wonder—would she really be happier if she was busy?
Since she wouldn't have any time to recall the past, she shouldn't feel hurt again, right? The moment she got back, Nina pulled
her over even before she could sit and whispered in her ear, "Michelle, do you know that our department has just gotten a new
director? People said he's the youngest director ever! And ridiculously handsome that he could enchant everyone!"
"Enchant everyone? Does it mean that we need an exorcist to remove the evil spirit in him?" Michelle smiled helplessly.
She herself heard about it only a moment ago when she took the elevator down from the tenth floor.
The news unexpectedly spread to the first floor so soon.
She couldn't help but sigh over how well-informed Nina was.
Nina really lived up to her reputation as the queen of gossip.
"Michelle, come on! Can't you at least show a little interest in it?" Nina grumbled in frustration.
"I'm only interested in working hard to save others!"
Michelle said loudly and stood at attention, putting on magnanimous, patriotic looks which made the people in the room burst into
laughter.
"Ahem."
An awkward cough rang and drew everyone's attention.
At that moment, the people in the office finally noticed that someone was standing at their doorstep.
They originally thought he was a patient, but he clearly wasn't.
He was wearing a white shirt and black trousers.
Two top buttons under his collar were left unbuttoned, giving him a casual, refreshing vibe.
When he walked in, everyone simultaneously drew a sharp breath.
This man was...
too enchanting! His eyes were wide and upturned a feature that became even more prominent and seductive when he smiled.
That feminine face didn't look bizarre on him.
Instead, it kind of made him look like a gentle beauty.
His sexy thin lips also turned many women in the room into his fans.
Unlike the others, Michelle couldn't help but frown when she saw him.
Wasn't this the man who'd helped her to catch the robber on the road? Why was he here? Nina, the passionate woman, took the
lead.
Before other women came back to their senses, she straightened up her back, pushed her 36D breasts out, and rushed to him.
"Hello, sir.How may I help you?" she asked sweetly, looking like a kind, sexy doctor.
Instead of answering, the man cleared his throat and said, ''Hello, everyone.I'm George Chadwick."
"y-you ...You're that George? Our new director?"
Myles was the first one to calm down.
He pulled Nina back and secretly sized up the enchanting man before him.
George Chadwick was undeniably attractive.
Even a straight man like him would blush when their eyes met, not to mention these superficial women.
Still with the same polite smile, George said, 'Yes, I'm George.Nice to meet you."
He calmly said those several words, but they were enough affirmation.
Myles was about to greet him, but the sight of an ambulance speeding over from the distance reminded him of the emergency
call he received a moment ago.
"Director Chadwick, I just received a phone call.An explosion occurred at a construction site nearby. Now, many of the victims are
being sent here."
George's smile faded.
He cast a glance at Michelle, who was standing not too far from him, and said seriously, "I believe this isn't the first time that
you've come across such a matter. Please get ready and be responsive. You must conduct the first-aid as quickly as you can to
save more victims."
Everyone withdrew their gazes and returned to their positions, speedily preparing all kinds of rescue equipment.
Soon, one ambulance after another arrived, sending the injured to the emergency department.
At that moment, however, a nurse showed up and pulled Michelle over.
"Michelle, there's a woman in labor over there.Hurry up."
"Didn't Myles say there was an explosion at a construction site? Where did this woman come from?" Michelle asked with a frown
as she ran after the nurse.
