Crystal’s P.O.V.
“Again,” Theo yelled while charging at me, and I dodged his attack while sliding myself on the other side, and I kicked on his right calf at the same time from behind. He dodged my attack, and tried to grab my arm. I dodged his hand once again, and swayed my b*dy little to get away from him. We were sparring together during the morning training session.
“Not good, Crystal… what are you doing?” Alpha Adrian yelled at me, and both of us stopped. He stormed towards me while looking at me angrily. “You are giving him too much to capture her. You left your right completely opened for him,” he scolded me, and I pursed my l*ps into a thin line. “I am sorry, Alpha. I will concentrate this time,” I apologized to him sincerely after analyzing my moves. We were practicing defense right now.
Alpha Adrian was now training us in strengthening our defense against Hybrids. I sent him the data about hybrids and their evolution that I received from Killian yesterday noon. He then discussed a training plan with Theo and me in the evening and we decided to implement it from today. Most of the. warriors were also practicing the same techniques.
“There will be no second chance in the battlefield, love. You have to
understand this. In front of you is not your mate, but your enemy. Don’t give him any chance to subdue you,” Alpha Adrian replied to me in a serious tone, and I nodded in agreement.
“I will, Alpha,” I answered him in a confident and respectful tone. “Let’s concentrate on the training, girl, instead of drooling on our mate, Luna chirped but her statement made me smirk at her. “Was I the only one who was drooling at him, huh?” I asked her in a teasing tone, and she smiled sheepishly.
I looked at Theo, and gave him a nod, indicating to resume his attacks. We, then, continued the sparring for the next half an hour without any break. Theo changed the speed of his movements from time to time, making me difficult to predict his next move. It would be the same situation in front of me if I fight with hybrids in the future.
We both sat down on the ground while hugging our knees after we tired

We had so many reasons for doubting him, but deep in my heart, I had this belief that he would never do anything to hurt me or Killian. Even Luna agreed with me on this. His wolf was not a normal werewolf but something was different about him. Still she felt that he was protective towards us like a father.
“What are you thinking again?” he asked me after some time in a light tone. I sighed and looked at him blankly. “I… I really don’t know, Theo… how to express what I feel towards Alpha Nelson.” I answered him truthfully, and told him about my inner turmoil.
He raised his brows in confusion. I took a deep breath once again and looked in front of me. “I felt a strong and And fatherly connection with him. Not only me but Luna also feels the same. “Uhhh… I want to have a quick shower before the meeting.” I informed him, and he nodded. “Let’s freshen up first before heading to the office,” he agreed with me, and I nodded to him this time. “Would you like to have shower. together?” he suddenly asked me in a husky tone, and I glared hard at him while jabbing into his chest.
He pouted, giving me an innocent look. “Don’t give me that look. We are not taking shower together,” I scolded him, but blushed hard in the end. We were about to reach the pack house and there were so many people around us now. What they would think if they listen to our conversation?
“They will think that their alpha couple is deeply in love,” Theo said in a husky tone this time, leaning down towards me. “Shut up,” I scolded him while. blushing harder and a small shy smile appeared on my l*ps once again. He chuckled this time, wrapping his hand around my shoulder, and pulling me into his side embrace.
“You look so delicious with this shade of red on your cheeks. Can I have you?” he asked me in whispers, using the same tone. “Theo!” I exclaimed in embarrassment, and hit him again at the same tone. He laughed this time, making me smile too. He k*ssed the top of my head before straightening his n*eck. Only he could joke like this in a serious situation. Still he was the best, and always made me fall harder for him by showing his care and love for me.
We reached the pack house and straight went for our room. We had twenty minutes in our hands to freshen up and I was thinking about grabbing something to eat before heading to the office. “Can you ask the kitchen to give some snacks to us before the meeting?” I asked Theo while taking my clothes out of the closet.
“Okay… You go and change.. I will ask the kitchen,” he replied to me and I passed a small smile to him before heading towards the bathroom. He already had stripped off but I didn’t look at him this time. I didn’t trust myself in front of my n*ked mate.
I closed the door behind me, and stripped off immediately. “I don’t think that we need to doubt both Nelson and Cynthia,” Luna said in a serious tone when I was about to step under the shower. “Why did you think?” I asked her while opening the tap. She sighed and sat down on the surface at the back of my mind.
“We haven’t met that girl, and this is impossible to connect myself with her
wolf on virtual mode. But, her eyes are innocent,” she told me what she felt. I pursed my l*ps into a thin line while washing myself. Luna was right though. We had our doubts about Cynthia, but the reason that she gave us about not coming in front of Killian for two years seemed genuine.
I had gone through the pain of rejection once, and knew how bad it hurt. I had no doubt about her fear for this pain. The Night Crawl Pack was hated by our whole community. Although we believed in the bond between fated mates, and Killian is not someone who works on whims, yet we can’t predict the future.
“Let’s not talk about this topic anymore. Killian has already accepted her, and I am happy for our brother. If the Moon Goddess has chosen her for him, then I am sure that she is perfect for him,” I replied to Luna in a calm tone before. stepping out of the shower. She hummed and then closed her eyes. “I am tired now,” she said to me and I smiled. “Go and rest then,” I instructed her while drying my b*dy with a towel.
