Killian’s P.O.V. (Continued) 

“There is something really wrong here, Killian. The whole forest is filled with so many smells. It’s suffocating.” Edward said while shrinking his nose in disgust. “We have company all around us, and a few of them have hidden their scents,” I informed him without looking at him as my whole concentration was on the faint breathing voices that I could hear around us. 

Suddenly Blake growled, and my ears perked up. “We are under attack,” I roared aloud and immediately extended my nails while snarling towards the direction from where I got a whiff of hybrids with rogue wolves. “Cover the prince,” Edward yelled, but I didn’t have any intention to stay inside the safe circle. “Attack,” I commanded in an alpha’s tone, and started running towards the tree line from where we could hear the thumping of paws on the ground. 

“You have to stay behind, Killian. They are after you,” Edward yelled but I didn’t pay any attention to his yelling. I was pissed at these hybrids for hurting Crystal the last time. Today, I was going to make them pay for the pain that she bore at that time. Soon, so many hybrids with rogue wolves jumped in front of us. Both I and Edward snarled aloud, shaking the whole forest ground.. 

They also tried to snarl, but it felt childish. “Use your training against them, and don’t let them touch you. Stay alert with their speed, and don’t let them bite you,” I instructed all my wolves through mind link. They attacked us and now there was a blood bath all around me. I swiftly killed three hybrids using my fighting skills.

Suddenly, I felt a shift in air near me, and I grabbed the thing that came flying towards me. My eyes widened in surprise when I saw that it was a gun. At the same time, Edward and a few warriors also got guns out of the blue. Without having thoughts about the helper, I started taking aim on hybrids. “Edward…. Take down rogues,” I commanded Edwards who was now fighting back to back with me. “Five

Both I and Edward were not surrounded by the hybrids that were encircling us. I didn’t realize that both of us went a little farther from the rest of the warriors. 

“S**t. Edward and I, both cursed at the same time, but I didn’t lower my gun. Suddenly I felt a shift in the air again, but it was a heavy object this time. Before I could understand, two tiny figures jumped near us out of the blue. I was still on high alert and was about to strike one of them, when she shot two hybrids while holding two guns in her hand. I and Edward were still back to back, and both the girls who appeared in front of us out of nowhere took the other side. Now we four were in circles, standing back to back with each other. 

“Take the other gun from my belt,” the girl on my right yelled, and I glanced at her waist. I was surprised to see more than five guns there. She came prepared.. Without wasting a second, I pulled another gun and started firing again. “They have masked their scents, but they don’t seem to be a threat,” Edward mind–link. me. I couldn’t help but agree with him, as I also didn’t feel any threat from their presence. “They are not threats but I am having an uneasy feeling. Blake said in an anxious tone, but I didn’t pay attention to him as I needed to concentrate on the 

battle. 

Suddenly, so many other wolves jumped in the battle out of nowhere, fl*pping the whole situation in our favour. Hybrids and rogues were now surrounded from all sides, leaving no space for them to escape. It took us only a few more minutes to finish them all. After finishing the bullets, I extended my nails once again, and lunged at two hybrids that were trying to attack us while dodging the bullets. “Alpha,” the girl on my right screamed, and I glanced at her while taking aim towards the hybrids. 

She lunged at me while taking a big leap in the air, making me raise my hand that she took swiftly, and I froze, but she didn’t. Blake growled aloud at the back of my mind, and I felt that my whole b*dy burst into sparks that ran through all the

nerves in my b*dy. “Mate.” Blake growled, and I looked at the girl who threw a flying kick high in the air while taking support of my shoulder, and kicked both the hybrids. Something shone at the tip of their shoes, and Inarrowed my eyes. 

The blood pumped out of their throats as soon as she kicked straight to their n*ecks. She had a sharp blade on the tip of her shoes. “She is an assassin,” Blake growled, but I could feel how proud he was feeling right now. Our mate was not only ruthless but a better warrior. I jerked my head, coming out of my trance, and tried hard to control my feelings so that I could finish this battle as soon as possible. I didn’t want to die now that I had just met with my mate. 

“She still has her scent masked. Ask her to release her scent,” Blake asked me while growling aloud. “Not now, Blake….. Our survival is more important right now. Focus on the fight now. We have to save not only ourselves but our mate too,” I replied to Blake while concentrating on fighting. We were now fighting duels back to back, and the way she was using my b*dy to kick them away from us, I was amazed by her fighting skills. 

“Concentrate on the fight, Alpha, or else we both will die,” she suddenly asked me in a sassy tone, but I felt my b*dy on fire. That was the most alluring voice that I had ever had. “Remove your mask first,” I grumbled while eyeing two hybrids who were about to attack on us. “Instruct your warriors, not to touch them. They have vampire venom and one more poison painted on their nails, and teeth,” she instructed me, and my face went cold.

It was when I realized that there was no dead b*dy of hybrids on the floor. “You heard them!” I roared also. The anger started boiling my blood inside my veins. “Remove all your warriors now,” my mate commanded me once again, and without wasting a second, I commanded everyone to retreat back. I didn’t know why I trusted her every word, but I did what she asked me. 

“What exactly is going on, Killian? Who are they?” Edward asked me in a frustrated tone while my eyes were glued on my mate. She was of medium height, with a 

petite b*dy. She was not slim, but had flesh in perfect places. Her blonde hair was

neadly tidied in a bun, and she had a small, heart–shaped face. She had a sinister smile on her l*ps that made her more beautiful than she was. In front of us, they suddenly started shooting in another direction high up in the air, making me look

Hybrids roared, and screamed aloud when suddenly a liquid showered at them. “Gasoline,” Edward mumbled, and I looked at my mate and her team worriedly. They were still near those hybrids. “Let them do what they want, but make sure that none of them gets hurt,” I commanded my warriors, and then strode towards my mate. She was busy hitting something high in the trees. 

“I don’t know when they arranged everything here, but they need to explain this to us if they are friendly,” Edward grumbled again, and I raised my brows at him. while glancing at him. “Now,” suddenly my mate roared aloud, and soon the whole place caught fire. I lunged towards my mate when I saw a hybrid on fire approaching her. 

“Aahhhhh!” she screamed when I pulled her securely into my embrace and lifted my foot to kick that hybrid away. In a swift motion, I secured her in my embrace, pressed her to my chest, and kicked that b****d away. I looked down, and my breath hitched when my emerald eyes met with her blue eyes. She smiled sheepishly while blinking innocently in my embrace. 

“Hi,” she said meekly, and a small smile crept on my l*ps. “Release your mask. mate,” I instructed her again, and she pouted while giving me a puppy look. “Aw….. she is so adorable,” Blake purred at the back of my mind, and at the same time, a sweet smell of honey, and rose hit my nostrils, making me growl aloud once again while tightening my grip on her petite waist. 

“I can’t believe this…. sh… she is my mate, Killian,” Edward suddenly yelled in panic through the mind – link, and I snapped my head towards him in shock. I saw him holding another girl in his embrace with a helpless look on his face. “I found mine too,” I replied to him, and looked back at my mate who was still looking at me 

while blinking innocently.
