I am trusting her with you, Crystal. I … I know that I don’t need to be worried about her if she is with you, but… I hope that you understand my concern,” Adam said to me in a firm tone. I smiled. while holding his arm. 

We were taking a stroll around my parents‘ house in the evening. Tomorrow I was going back with Theo and Ivory, as Ivory chose to stay with me for a few more days, and after that, she would go to the royal pack. 

I knew that Adam was not happy with Ivory’s decision, but he had also grown up now. He respected her decision, and let her go with me instead of forcing her, which was his nature before, to go with him. 

“You don’t need to worry about her, Adam, and to be honest, I think this is better for her to stay with me instead of going to the royal pack first,” I replied to him in a calm tone. I was still holding his arm, as I used to hold him when we were young. 

He sighed aloud while looking in front of him with blank eyes. “You can come to my pack at any time to meet her. Don’t forget that my pack is only at a distance of half an hour if you use your vampire speed,” I whispered to him in a mischievous tone, and he immediately looked at me with surprise. 

I giggled while wriggling my brows, and a wide smile appeared on his face. I laughed this time, and he blushed. “You brat,” he scolded me in a playful tone while flicking my forehead. “Ouch!” I winced while rubbing that place, and glared hard at him. “Sometimes, I thanked Marcus for imprisoning me.” He said further at the same time after standing up silently for a good two minutes. I gave him the time to reorganize his thoughts and emotions. “L… I self–analyzed myself there… when I had nothing to do but to think about my past… my life in the pack… my life with you guys… the love that I got from Martha and Warrick… the love that I from you and your brothers…. my best friend, William…. who was always with me like my shadow….

“No… he said nothing to upset me… he is just thinking about his past mistakes and what price he paid for them,” I answered Theo through our mind–link and looked at Adam’s face once again. 

I sighed aloud when I saw tears streaming down his cheeks. “Okay… come back soon, then,” Theo asked me in a calm tone this time. “Okay, I answered him and took a deep breath. “That was all in the past, Adam…. now we are once again together… don’t forget that we both hacked each other in all the battles that we fought against those vampires to keep our packs and our people safe,” I tried to comfort Adam once again.

“Thank you… thank you for being with me all this time, brother…. because of you… I succeeded in saving my sister…. but.” I felt tears in my eyes when I remembered my parents once again. I would be happier than I am right now if they were with me too. 

“They are giving their blessing to us from above, Crystal. They will be with us forever,” Adam comforted me this time, and I sniffed harder while lowering my eyes. I wiped the corners of my eyes to wipe the tears and took a deep breath. 

“Yeah… they will always be with us,” I whispered to him, still keeping my eyes low. He wrapped his hand around my shoulder and rubbed my arm this time to comfort me. We both, then, looked back at the tree once again with a calm gaze. We were both now silent, enjoying this peaceful silence together.

I smiled and glanced at Theo before looking back at her. “Because he is my mate, Ivory, and he loves me so much,” I answered her truthfully in a calm tone. She immediately looked at Adam, making him raise his brows innocently. 

She looked back at me with a gloomy expression this time. “You said that he is my mate… Then why didn’t he pull me into his embrace when I stood here?” she asked me gloomily, pouting in the end. My eyes widened in surprise, and I tilted my head to see Adam’s reaction. Before I could even smile, he immediately wrapped his hand around Ivory’s shoulder in a hurry pulling her closer to him, as if she would disappear if he didn’t do it quickly. 

Ivory shuddered lightly because of their proximity, but immediately relaxed again. “Happy?” I asked her while raising my brows with a wide smile on my l*ps. She grinned once again while bobbing her head furiously. Both I and Theo laughed while looking at them. Adam looked so happy, as if he had the whole world now. Ivory was also happy. This is what I wanted for them… for
